Ultimately that is up to the LMO and the local GML to decide. Personally I believe...
1. The out of the box Rubies is not 501st acceptable.
2. This particular build with a little adjustment and correct boots would be 501st acceptable.
I'm not entirely sold that the biceps need to be higher up. Look at the Tantive raid and in many shots the bicep is flush or thereabouts with the shoulder bells.
Looking forward to it. It's pretty neat to see what can be done with this kit. Would be totally cool to see it get ROTJ Elite, but even if you don't it's all good and it should look sweet.
Cool tutorial! I'm in the process of moving older threads here, and am glad to see you discovered it. I think it will make finding these excellent tutorials easier.
Absolutely! Most TK's with an MRCE have the double white pattern, so we can't gig this effort for that unless you want to gig every other MRCE wearer.
Consistency guys!
Tusken - congrats on the build - I'd troop with this guy.
I believe it is acceptable with these mods for base 501st acceptance. Yes, there is much the person can do to get it more accurate and really go down the path for Elite, but these are *not* 501st requirements.
I would strongly prefer the frown to be painted in true ROTJ style but this will be dependent on the CRL (the drafts required it, later versions from Mark F. did not).
The right thigh ammo belt could be secured better, but not a biggie per se. As Terrell pointed out the chest should ride a little higher and the back a little lower but these are adjustment issues just like the thigh ammo belt.
The boots funny enough are the most glaring no-go and would be the only reason for rejection IMHO.
So...in summary just a few adjustment issues but otherwise good to go given the current 501st standards. Like I said I'd prefer the ROTJ frown, but am not sure it's grounds for rejection.
Overall - the person did a fantastic job with the suit and I think after a little more adjustment and a new set of boots, I'd sign off on it. Thumbs up and congrats to the suit owner.
ROTFLMAO. No wonder it looked so good. I haven't seen RT in a loooooong time and I can't recall the last time we had an RT Elite application, and so blanked on the details.
What a laugh - RT is the best FX build out there. Something funny in that, no?
That's the best FX build I've seen in a loooooong time. The thighs came out totally awesome. Yes, there are small things you could do down the line like rolling the chest/shoulder bells and nipping the sides of the belt, but that's about it.
Outstanding - simply outstanding. I'd be proud to troop with you any day of the week.
I find I like more "western" than "country". The people I used to listen a lot to included David Ball, Lari White, Suzy Boguss, Deborah Allen, Chris Ledoux, Dwight Yokum, Sweathearts of the Rodeo, Pam Tillis, etc.
Actually I felt it had started to sound too much like rock and roll for my taste and got kind of bland. That said, the past few years there have been some tremendous country acts that have surfaced that I enjoy tremendously.
Obi-wan lied as much as the bloke in the Patty Loveless song:
You've got a thing or two to learn about me baby
'Cause I ain't taking it no more and I don't mean maybe
You don't know right from wrong
Well the love we had is gone
So blame it on your lying, cheating, cold deadbeating,
Two-timing, double dealing
Mean mistreating, loving heart
