  1. Anti-military? I saw it the other way 'round. It was anti-bad military. The Na'vi were warriors too...
  2. Two approved today - only 11 left to go 'till we hit a ton. Who will be the next trooper in 2009, I wonder...
  3. EIB page updated - congrats again Yes, you're EIB #89.
  4. For starters your can kick back and enjoy your accomplishment - you look great I've updated your board profile and now we just need to add you to the list (should be today - I'm not at my normal 'puter). You can now buy a gold FISD coin if you so choose. And...that's it! Enjoy your costume, enjoy trooping. And again, congratulations
  5. Not required per se, but I'd strongly encourage it for obvious reasons.
  6. It does, and is much appreciated. I'm really jonsing for sun + beach now. Hawai'i is the cake, any time of year.
  7. Yup, I'm one of them. Perhaps some day AM (nee FX) or RT will make "tall" parts like KW did with his clones. Another 1.5" to the shins/thighs should do it, or at least 1".
  8. I like the movie so much, I'm going back for more. Certainly the best movie IMHO since Lord of the Rings : The Two Towers.
  9. Never a bad post from the 'Chuck
  10. Wow - give the man a medal and he speaks like staff ;-) j/k - yes this is correct - just the updated details.
  11. Yup. Again, this is the same for every detachment in the Legion. Happy to help John
  12. Actually the requirements for MEPD & FISD are the same at every level. Areas 1-3 of Manny's post are spelled out in the charter and pretty consistent among every detachment in the 501st. #4 so far only applies to MEPD, FISD, and BSN, and are consistent across the three dets. Actually you're a member of the MEPD detachment even without being deployed. I suspect the confusion is that pretty much every sandtrooper in MEPD is deployed, and that something like 1/3rd of all 501st sandtroopers are deployed, may make one think that they have to be deployed to be a detachment member, but this is not the case. Here is the language from the charter:
  13. True enough folks and these are good points to remember. It's not about who creates it, it's about what they agree legally.
  14. I'm actually wondering what's actually covered in the copyright of a film. For instance one can grant a license for toys made from a film, but I wonder if that has to be done country by country as well. And what happens when there is no license issued? For instance, say there were no toy deals for Avatar and I started selling picture of Na'vi or perhaps a toy bow - what exactly would I be infringing on? LFL has stake in the game because they do in fact grant licenses, but what if they didn't, or didn't for that product.
  15. I'm a left handed shooter so holding with my left is fine for me at least and feels natural, though being right handed it can get confusing.
  16. If you want to know nutty, check out patent law. You can have a patent for an invention in the US, but not anywhere else in the world. Or a patent that applies in Italy, but not in Spain. Thus things like the EPO "The European Patent Office (EPO) provides a uniform application procedure for individual inventors and companies seeking patent protection in up to 38 European countries. It is the executive arm of the European Patent Organisation and is supervised by the Administrative Council. "
  17. And knowing that cats always land on their feet when dropped, if you tied buttered toast to the backs of cats and dropped them they'd float off the floor, and a string of these can be used to support a levitated train.
  18. If Terrell doesn't log in and give you the thumbs up in a day or so, I will. You look great! Don't forget to request 501st access too so you can access the det-only jacuzzi bar with Twi'lek wait staff. Well done!
  19. Good point Vic. Oh, and also a great part of the country to be from - very pretty where you are. La Crosse is rapture in the fall, and I've flown over parts of that border in a Huey and loved it.
  20. Q4 2009 Terry aka PandaTrooper - see thread at http://whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=9307 for reasons why.
  21. Wow - the support is overwhelming for Terry and thus I'm adding him to the rolls for distinguished service in helping out new and existing members in answering their questions with complete and helpful responses, and embodying the true spirit of Troopers Helping Troopers. Present...arms! Order...arms! Still open for any other nominations this quarter.
  22. Understood and agred - sorry if I wasn't clear. It's all about how he conducts his business.
  23. These are great Darryl, did you get any action shots as well? I hope to do this too some day.
  24. You are correct. We cannot profit from our membership and can only ask for repayment of expenses. You can however ask for a donation to be made to a charity of their choice in the Legion or your garrison's name and to see the receipt thereof.
  25. And this is why we try to educate on vendors. Matt (TE) was banned for these types of business practices. His helmets can still be nice and at times are sold via a reputable third party who has them in hand. As noted, you are not the first nor the last by any stretch. I'm very sorry for your frustrations Nick. These days you can find comparable helmets for less via vetted sellers on these boards, for pretty much every helmet you can think of.
