  1. Yeah I'm more worried about the fact that I tend to get the dropsies from time to time so I want to make sure its extra solid to be safe. I am very happy with your handiwork.
  2. Well Kev is the one that suggested letting it de-gas for a week before painting but to be honest it'll probably be a week or so before I have much time to spend on the helmet anyways.
  3. http://www.flickr.com/photos/26580949@N06/...57619164888264/ I decided to make a plunge and go for a better helmet than my FX. She just arrived. I washed her up and put her on a shelf to sit and de-gas for at least a week. So far the aerators gotta go, I'll just pull my hovis w/ speakers out of the FX and I'm none too sure on the lens material being thick enough so I might have to see if my thicker replacement lenses from my FX will fit or not. Also this thing will likely need reinforcement, there's quite a few thin places in the corners on the helmet (you can see the translucency in the picture set).
  4. That helmet looks sad. Is this the dreaded Imperial Emo Trooper?
  5. Yet there are 4.8 times as many stormtroopers than sandtroopers registered in the legion...
  6. Also you're going to need to get your hands on different gloves
  7. Ehh, I have to twist on my FX...
  8. Whatev. The new Kirk is just a ripoff Han Solo anyways. Chris Pine has even stated that Harrison Ford was his inspiration for Kirk so he wouldn't come off as a Shatner clone.
  9. Well I think you can still fit some of the smaller parts in there like hand plates, gloves, etc so it'll still help.
  10. Try this out. Of course, not sure how well this would work without an FX helmet as I doubt you can fit as much stuff into the helmet for packing it but its a good place to start. --------
  11. You could always try covering it with electrical tape... I haven't had that problem, my neckseal covers the logo.
  12. I have a wally wired through my stomper aerators in my FX and I have really no problem so far although I have yet to use it for extended periods of time.
  13. I'd assume both should be allowed for, it makes it easier to build a costume from because realistically its intended to just be a stormy with blue stripes.
  14. Well it doesn't look like Office Depot or Max sell these any longer but Avery still makes them. You might like this: http://www.avery.com/avery/en_us/Products/...duct%20Number|1
  15. There are quite a few paint variations on sandy's as well, different pauldron colors and levels of dirty.
  16. Well from what it sounds like you're looking to do, you'd be best off with both. Anything dealing with digital photo work and you NEED photoshop. TBH I'd say you'd likely need photoshop more than illustrator but if you're going to be doing print design you'll find a large need for both.
  17. Congrats. Now give me my FISD 501st access!

  19. Most impressive.
  20. Mine took about three weeks to arrive. Just be patient.
  21. I got mine at a local hobby store.
  22. Well I have no experience with one like that, mine was originally a walmart one which is just a black box and a microphone on a wire. For $5 and about half an hour work its pretty great.
