  1. I think you've covered it well, Steve. The other bit that I'll add is to go and read the EIB and Centurion application threads. In those threads, Troopers usually list out all of the stuff they're using, ie belt, electronics, boots, blaster, etc. Most of the stuff you're asking people to post already exists in there. You can link directly to my EIB application using the link in my signature below. Good luck!!

    Are we weird?

Cool. He doesn't know me, but he's always talking about getting a Coke, so I've replied to a few of his posts and in a message to Sal when I ordered my Storming Australia patches and cards, mentioned that I want some of the money to be used to get the man a Coke. That's all there is to it. Thank you, kindly.

    Are we weird?

I have to ask a favor of you. Would you be so kind as to buy him a Coke for me? I'm actually totally serious, too. LoL
  4. Looking forward to the comparisons. For the record, I've got a BCG top and an Eastbay bottom. Neither had the other piece in stock when I was doing my shopping. LoL. I'm aware of the very subtle difference in the appearance, but nobody else has ever noticed or said anything. (so far, anyway)
  5. RT-Mod is a pretty solid fit for someone at/around 6'2" dependent upon your build. It is sculpted at 4% larger than a standard TK armor. I'm 6'2" and that's what I'm rocking. You can check out the build thread linked in my signature if you're interested in checking it out.
  6. I may have to throw this onto my Christmas list as one of those "off the beaten path" requests. I'll sick my Dad on it. He loves getting "missions" from me. LoL Looks phenomenal.
  7. In the interest of assisting those poor souls to have an E-11, I've got one that I'd consider selling them for only $15,000. Not a Bapty though....

    Are we weird?

Also... In so many ways - THIS. There are a great many of us that some would call "poster children" for success in our day to day lives. Getting to know the members of the Legion, we're pretty much the type of people that parents would want their children to grow up like - and oh, by the way, we're also in the 501st Legion.

    Are we weird?

Weird is such a subjective term. As you've already seen so many others say (but I think Eric said it quite well), we have nearly 7,000 friends instantly as a member of the Legion. I've learned a great deal more about the world, as a result of my friendship with so many people globally. I know that if I travel the globe that I'll have people to hang out with just about everywhere I'd want to go. We do so much good for so many people that we've never met, and in most cases, never will meet. Naturally, I've remembered that I've been a Star Wars fan since the moment I started hearing and seeing commercials for it. I BEGGED my parents to take me to see it when it hit the theaters (I was four years old, about to turn five when it released), but they would not take me to see it until they saw it first, to make sure it was something that I "could" see. Knowing that they were at that theater watching it while I was at home with a babysitter made me nuts, but after that, they took me to see it. I look back on that now, and I was mesmerized by those TKs boarding the Tantive IV, and I distinctly remember feeling a moral obligation to "cheer for the 'good guys" but a lot of inner turmoil because I thought the "bad guys" were so awesome, and I LOVED everything about them. Recently, during TK related posts on FB, my mother chimed in with a post that basically said "This comes as no surprise to me. Since the moment he saw the first Stormtrooper in that movie, he wanted nothing more in life than to be a Stormtrooper." That made me smile so much on the inside and on the outside, and it made me think about things a little bit differently. If someone grows up saying that they want to be a "This" or they want to own "That" and they grow up and do so, nobody calls them weird for having done so, they call them a lot of positive things like: Driven, Goal-Oriented, or this gem - successful. Think about it like that, clearly this is something that we have all desired on some level and in many cases, we've desired it for years, or even decades. We've achieved it. We've grown up, and done, become, and attained the things that we said we wanted to do as children. That, is drive. It is being goal-oriented. That, is success in life. However, we don't stop there. We take it a step further. We take this thing that we've accomplished, our personal goal, and we share it with the world. We bring joy, happiness, and so much good to so many others in our world in a time when the headlines are filled with negativity. One of our brothers in armor (TD 4857, Scott Loxley, of the Terror Australis Garrison) is currently walking AROUND AUSTRALIA - the entire continent - to raise money for a children's hospital. That is so inspirational to me, and to many others, that it can't be imagined. This group, this family of Imperial fans (and members ) is a phenomenal group of people who, more so than nearly any other group that I've ever come in contact with, give back to the world around them daily without expecting or asking for anything in return. So, if doing these things is weird, then I'll proudly proclaim that yes - I'm weird. I'll also continue to do everything in my power to encourage others to be weird, and do everything that I can to help others be weird. The world as we know it could definitely use more of our brand of weird.
  10. Very cool video. Love the work that clearly went into it, as it is very well written.
  11. Awesome NL as is expected by now. You guys and gals in the IPM and the PROs are doing some phenomenal work, and your adoring TK Legion of fans greatly approve!! Congratulations to all of the TKs who took their armors to the next level(s) this month. Great work by, and high praise to each of you on your accomplishments! Clint! Excellent stuff! I'm sure that we'll be welcoming you to the Legion shortly. Thanks for stepping up and making the NL that much better, Cadet!
  12. Best of luck! Between Germain's comments, and Steve PMing you, I'm sure you've got all that you need to get there. I've got nothing to add. Beautiful armor and weapons though!!
  13. Yes, it is indeed on Facebook, and it is also fabulous - as expected. Beautiful stuff Paul. You truly live up to your screen name!!
  14. Pictures! Pictures!!! We CRAVE the pictures!!! Looking forward to seeing it!
  15. Steve already mentioned the split rivets on the left side, and that was the first thing I was going to mention. The second is also related to something Steve mentioned: the shoulder bridges in the back. Not only do they appear to have Velcro holding them in place, I don't see this white elastic that should be on the back of the shoulders to hold the bridges in place.
  16. Looking good!! One bit of "touch up" painting you may want to consider: the screws on the front of the scope should be steel colored, instead of brass.
  17. I'm assuming you meant that they will NOT be approvable for Centurion, as that is what I would have told you about a Hasbro.
  18. I'd love to say that it was me, since the TK is surrounded by Soldiers as opposed to the Airmen, but it isn't and that makes me sad. LoL This. Is. EPIC!!!
  19. Nicely done!!! Looking good.
  20. You'll want to look at Glen's builds. No doubt about that!
  21. Blaster looks great Aaron. Kudos to you and your photographer!!
  22. Looking good Kyle!! I am afraid however, that you've got your charging handle in backwards. It should curve forward, toward the muzzle so that you can grab it more easily with a finger and charge the weapon.
  23. I thought it was a fun show. It was indeed a Star Wars themed version of their regular show. I'm glad I watched it, if nothing else.
  24. Thank you, Clint. Kyle, I ordered a monocular for about $5 - 6 off of the bay (idea borrowed from SIMpixels actually) and took it apart. I then used the lens sizes to, as Clint mentioned, drill out my scope (VERY carefully) in three distinct lines. A small one going backwards from the front of the scope, a large one using successively smaller drill bits from the rear towards the front, and then I used a bit roughly the size of the front lens opening to drill on an angle from the front to the back channels so that you can actually see light (and an upside down blurry view of the target) through the scope. My build thread is linked in the bottom of my signature. If you want to take a look at it, the scope modifications begin on page 11. Good luck!
  25. I occasionally wind up donating a tiny little bit of blood while putting on my forearms. I always put my gloves on after my forearms. The gloves are the last part(s) to go on before my helmet, actually. As for the shins, Velcro is an option but you can always use the original hook method, too.
