  1. As you've been told: looks good!!
  2. Congratulations, TK-24218 and welcome aboard!!! Armor looks great, and that's pretty minimal bite, for the first trooping event too!
  3. Congratulations Sven!!! Great work, winning attitude, and persistence will go a long way in improving armor every time! Again, Congratulations and I proudly welcome you to the ranks of EIB!!
  4. TKboots does carry size 12 and 13 boots, they just have a long time between full production runs, so their stock is limited a lot of the time.
  5. My thoughts on that, exactly. Brandon, this is a great job, and an excellent and insightful presentation. Eventually, I'd like to dye a pair just for familiarization and experience with the process. I'll be sure to check here (and with Soren's read, naturally) if I get to that point.
  6. You've already done the right thing by coming here to ask before you bought anything. Take the advice that you find here, and you'll be alright. Ignore it and well... Don't say that you had no idea?
  7. I've got black E6000 holding the faceplate on my Hengstler counter of my E-11 (the one with the working button) and it doesn't appear to show any signs or indications of being any weaker than the white/clear versions. Just for what it's worth. Having said that, I further concur that I wouldn't put it anywhere on the outside of my armor. Too much oozing, and it does dry a nice shiny black.
  8. I suggest you come up with five options pretty quick. LoL
  9. Shouldn't have any issue for approval! Have you filled out your application on the Legion website yet? Need to do so before the GML sends them up to that level.
  10. I'll vouch for the quality of the Veedox neck seal... It is quite beautiful and comfortable to wear.
  11. Listen to Steve, you must. Choose a neck seal, you will. All depends on you and what you want to achieve with your armor, really.
  12. Congratulations Chris!!! Thank you for embracing the challenges of Centurion, and serving as an inspiration for the rest of us who aspire to do so!
  13. My goodness... Apologies for missing this, Germain. Congratulations!!!!!! Truly well deserved, and not the least bit surprising. Well done!
  14. Vadier, good luck in your pursuit of EIB. Your armor certainly looks to be a quality build. There are just a few things that I see in a quick looking over of it. There's one big thing that stands out to me and you mentioned it already, and that is some of the gaps. As you said, in the action shots it is clear that you've lost weight (congratulations on that, btw), so you might want to retake your photos (using the guidelines Steve linked for you) so that is more apparent, and ensure that the gaps (sides and back) are minimized in the photos. Next is that it looks as if you don't have your holster attached in the photos. In other photos it clearly is so once again, retaking the submission photos will solve that. The third thing is that it looks like you've got different rank bars painted on each side of your helmet, and they should be the same one. Finally, just an observation here, the TD screws should be black flathead screws - this shouldn't impact your application though. Unless anyone else has anything else that I just didn't catch, I don't think you've got much work to do to earn EIB. Again, good luck!
  15. Search Facebook, or as suggested, find a Garrison member here and PM them. Some Garrisons are easier to find, but they are all out there. Rest assured.
  16. Great work, Clint. They look fantastic!
  17. Thank you, and thank you for the assist Carl, it isn't anywhere near that difficult to build it that way from the start. Modifying to meet it is far more troublesome, as I outlined earlier. I'll explain it in my standard fashion though, once I get my armor back and get to the work required.
  18. Diana, the issue is that I have to learn a new skill - creating and playing with ABS paste. At the location where the newly required notch is supposed to go, I have a split rivet. As a result, I've got to remove four split rivets, fill the holes with ABS paste, re drill the holes, and redo the split rivets. It isn't something I relish doing, and I'll have to take a good look at the impacts on my armor once I get it back and figure it all out before delving in to get it done. If I find that, as Eric put it, "it's going to look super weird" in my RT then I'll cross that bridge when I get there. In the meantime, it is the standard for Centurion, so I intend to meet it. More to follow.
  19. I've got to agree, great looking blaster. Just a few tweaks from awesome. Color is beautiful!!
  20. Coming along nicely, Clint! Updated photos coming soon?
  21. Pins, for the win!! Good luck, keep us posted on your progress!
  22. Extra bicep thumbprints are fairly easily negated with some patience, and a heat sealing iron. All you've got to do is - with just enough heat to soften the plastic - apply pressure with the sealing iron until the thumbprint evens out, and make a few passes a day or so apart. The ABS has a bit of a memory, and will revert back ever so slightly after each pass.
  23. As you've seen, it all comes down to,personal preference. I happen to like the look of the bubble lenses, and the low brow, so I went Hero first. I've got a Stunt bucket also, so I'll be working up another belt and submitting Stunt at a later date. The bubble lenses are a bit more difficult to see out of, but only if you're trying to read signs or something like that, and even then, it is a perimeter around your field if vision that is affected. Regardless of your choice, good luck with your build!!
  24. What you've seen here are great suggestions. I'll second using a heat gun to bend the hooks into shape, and mounting them much closer to the tops of the biceps than you see here. I'm on my second set of bicep hooks, because I made my first one using the score and bend method in the tutorial, and they got caught on my chest armor a lot and both of them broke during my first troop wearing them. I've trooped the newer heat bent ones, and because they don't stick out so far, they have yet to get caught in my chest armor once.
  25. Congratulations, Chance!!! Beautiful build.
