  1. Fine. I'll put it this way: if you're happy with the overall appearance of the armour because you're attempting to duplicate a suit of anh worn armor, then that's awesome. Good job.
  2. There are a lot of edges that would look a lot better trimmed. Cover strips that are longer than the edge of the armour. Gaps on the long edges of cover strips that could be filled in. The white edges around the eyes . it looks like you've left return edges on the ab and glutes that should be trimmed back. Nothing should be there that runs perpendicular to the armour flat on you. Make all the lines nice and clean and it'll look good.
  3. I didnt get dinged either. Hopefully I don't get a letter in a week asking for money.
  4. Tier 1 is cheaper. For 187 and 131 and a few days away from Starbucks he could have bought a 350.00 kit.
  5. They're in lake Ontario next to the arrow, Hoffa, and the jar jar binks spin off trilogy.
  6. Nice armour. Tks are left handed tho...who's the rebel in your action shot :-)
  7. Smelled worse than my wetsuit. And I have never peed in my wetsuit but ...damn...my merocrine glands stink.
  8. Or, you know, you just attach the torso bits together high enough at the shoulder junction and they can't move too far forward or act without severing your head. And they line up just fine. Methinks accurate is oft mistaken for a shorter word starting with 'a' . Cudos for building it with metal bits, in a clamshell, with string, and a juicy fruit actual tin not aluminum wrapper somewhere. But don't declare centurion an impossibility if not done your way. That's gear-mongering...and not trooper helping trooper at all. That said had I know enough I would likely have done so as well. But a local guy designed a cool mod to strapping to keep the chest outside ab. My eib and centurion thread should still have pics.
  9. Every day after Jan 01 2016 is after new years day. I could graduate from nursing school before they have a kit for public consumption.
  10. If it's from trooperbay its a safe bet its good quality and approvable.
  11. Now of course I can't find that link...but at least it's the flag red.
  12. Dremels and plastic...are scary. A local genius puts printer filament into his rotary tool and spins it fast..basically becomes a plastic welder.
  13. I think you'll find old Glory red is the official red of the empire. I came across it when painting donation boxes.
  14. Think bakelite. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermosetting_polymer
  15. Oh. It's likely thermo set plastic. Like gopro mounts, knife handles, some Ikea brackets. The car comment worried me because sometimes I'm forced to leave stuff in the car. I guess as long as I don't bend stuff. I left my health card and sin card standing on end in a cupholder one day and they...melted a little.
  16. Thermalset ...basically it is heated once, formed, and once it cools has a much higher melting point. I ways presumed 3d printers used this .
  17. Approved for what? Fix the tube stripes and for stunt you're fine.
  18. Also...buy curved up right angle tin snips. Smaller radii are possible.
  19. You want it large. The sweat drips down inside it, and you want airflow around your neck. Too tight and you'll be fiddling with it like wearing a starched collar and a badly tied tie.
  20. Not in tk, but a dog peed on my Jawa, in back, and nobody noticed. An hour later I got a face full of...stink. I almost weathered my robe but held it back.
  21. No suspenders for centurion? I'd better turn my certificate in then...
  22. Didn't hurt mine at all. Suspenders break the weight into thirds. Garter belt , suspenders, and torso one piece changes where you get sore after an hour.
  23. Overlap instead of cover strips. Wrong webbing. Upside down buttons. Tubs stripes done backwards, or more than a pencil away. The anovos tk helm ooks like the used a carpenters pencil not a ...pencil...can we please add a bloody mm distance range please ;-), etc. It's easy to put a model kit together wrong. Right is hard. Wrong is easy. That's why we have so many more bad guys then good. Literally and in the movies . lots of tks, few rebels.
