There is no way that Disney will let 8600 unpaid free pieces of advertising go. However there is every chance i agree that you'll start to see ' ankvos fotk only, or anovos tk preferred.' At Disney sponsored paid events. They can do that. And if a Garrison says no we don't want to go and were telling our members not to go then Disney will shrug and not invite that Garrison. I've seen it in other volunteer organizations from the rpga, stja, and even at school: don't use our crappy electronic tools in class? OK, no free software anymore buy 500 licenses. Guess which crappy ebooks we use.

Simple. If the licensed armour is found to be a recast not from the Disney archives. If the quality of the licensed armour is crap and turns into the next rubies or star fortress. The 501st can certainly say that parts a, b , and c do not meet screen accuracy or that building it a certain way isn't screen accurate for a certain crl. Buying a licensed baseball bat doesn't guarantee you'll make the team. You make have to take an inch or pine tar off of it, or change the tape colour from yellow to white per league rules.

The wonky frown is shared by rs props. It's accurate.

I know a few people jumped on them and then when the realization hit that it wasn't going to be theirs by Dec 17, or even approvable because nobody had seen it, they cancelled. I agree that there can't have been hundreds to cover the fact that people who ordered in November are getting them...that's kinda of crazy.
-
I suspect a lot of cancellations moved peoples dates around.

Just click the tracking number in your email. It works fine for canada. It just doesn't activate until its scanned by FedEx, not when anovos enters a preshipping form.

Cover Strip and Armour Affixing Question
sylverbard replied to ComradeDave's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Shins are Velcro at the back. -
For basic approval, yes. If you change the things needed for anh stunt and the other things needed for hero, or use the belt as esb and built it to that, and it fits you and doesnt look like weasels running inside a plastic sack, yea. Eib or higher? Mayhaps.

Man I wish my ata bucket looked as clean...

Velcro fails on my ANH utility belt
sylverbard replied to Squimspickle's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
The belt should be measured around the armour....I've got snaps on the rear inside belt so the outer belt velcros on and the snaps hold the weight of a holstered blaster and the TD holds belt together. Never falls off. -
Armour kits are not approved. Final appearance of the costume is approved.

sign me up. shield too. -
We are not buddies. How rude. Obviously you forget your post that your garrison attend many corporate functions and had special privileges like food and swag and that any new directives from a higher level authority jeopardized that. . Since you brought it up I don't recall you admitting that during the election proceedings at all. Nobody wanted to take credit. But you agree its in violation of the 501st policy about crls and weapons. Maybe that's why that other big UK costume group gets members and gigs... Whatever. It was already asked that this line of discussion be relaxed so nothing more from me.
-
Fine. Refusing basic approval without weapons is trooper helping trooper how exactly?
-
Read their diatribe in the elections nonsense on the main forums. They were up in arms because they felt the new casting rules hurt their chances for preferred gigs. I gave up reading it after the election.

I Just Got Ripped Off, Watch Out For This Guy!

Really...why does the builder keep selling to Tim then? You'd think he'd just say no I'm not selling to you anymore. -
The ukg is just ...dumb. Every member needs to complain to the lmo and cog. Oh, wait, this is the Garrison that led the revolt because the Disney agreement affected their private deals for free stuff. Allegedly.

"If I drop it on your foot it will hurt. Of course it's real. We take the power cell out when kids are around. Lots Vader says child safety is important." Nobody gets the joke tho.

Case in point: if you'd asked, we wouldn't have let you buy a rubies costume. Save you 600.00. Is that worth a little flak? -

So. Examples help. How do you know they are 501st members? Are they calling overpriced costumes overpriced? Bad work bad? Scoundrels scoundrels? A spade a spade? People have the right to express an opinion . a personal opinion. Not in costume and not an official 501st opinion. "That won't pass inspection." Is a nice military term for "that's garbage don't buy it / wear it/ sell it." I think you'll find that many 501st members are guarded. And trying to keep people from wasting thousands of dollars on ...fecal matter. So I am curious what has been said to you, under what circumstances, and where.
