  1. Hi Nicholas! Great to have you here. R1 troopers are very cool. I built a crystal patrol backpack a while back so I definitely hope to get some R1 armor someday to complete the package. Looking forward to seeing your build when you get the BBB. Interested to hear your thoughts on the 850 armor works armor when you get a chance to review it. Best of luck!
  2. Just to let you know I am slowly working on my Bulldog44 links. Page 1 of my blaster build is almost done. Will try to make more progress on the other pages and scope topic soon.
  3. Welcome Matt! Hope you can get back to trooping. Maybe you can get some nice thermals and brave the cold to troop in ND.
  4. Greetings Dave! I had my RS armor kit in a box for 2 years before I completed it. I was so nervous to trim the parts and screw up. Members here were so supportive and gave great advice to reassure me along the way. Best of luck completing your armor. RS is a great kit to have and once your done it will look amazing. Hope to see you in the ranks soon!
  5. Welcome Jessica! Great to have you aboard. Troopers look great no matter height we are. Once the helmet is on the fun begins and fans see us all the same. Wishing you many happy troops in the 501st!
  6. Congratulations! Members like you keep the awesome vibe on this forum. Thanks for dedicating so much here and helping troopers.
  7. Thanks. I will try to get on that soon to save anyone the agony of my 11 page build.
  8. Sorry about this. I need to find out about how to display those pics without the watermarks. I only used the free Photobucket storage limit and never went to the paid version to remove the watermarks. If there is a way around this please let me know and I will try to fix my build topic.
  9. Nice work on your blaster Darren. The red lights in the scope look great! Love that.
  10. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/39650-anh-paint-colour-guide/ Not sure if this is exactly what you are looking to fix but the first photo in this post has photobucket watermarks.
  11. Wow! Awesome blaster build! Sorry I missed this one and many others recently. Excellent documentation and the final piece is trophy. Well done!
  12. Nice build so far! Check out the Blaster Reference for some more mod ideas if you have time. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/32111-fisd-e-11-blaster-reference/ Your bolt plate looks great. Not an easy mod to do and not easy to get the bolt plate to move like the real sterling without removing lots of resin as you mentioned. I know you said you already epoxied it into place but if you wanted to try and make it fully moveable check out the ejection port section in the blaster reference: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/32111-fisd-e-11-blaster-reference/?do=findComment&comment=414376 looking forward to seeing more updates!
  13. Studying this closely on how you managed to get all the wires in there. Impressive work. Almost finished!
  14. Awesome work Scott. As Tino said, I am getting the blaster build bug and feel the need to start a new one soon!
  15. Sorry to hear the news. doopy doos is notorious for their lack of communication and consistency for getting their product out to customers. But if you can weather the wait and not give up on trying to contact them , it is a very nice kit to work with. check out https://www.starwarscostumeprops.com/ A complete blaster order with all the basic parts needed will cost you more than doopys but the casting quality is really nice. Casted from original sterling parts.
  16. Welcome back Jerome. It’s great you are making your back to being a TK. I just assembled an ATA helmet which I bought years ago as a practice build. The ABS still looks fresh and new after sitting in a box for 5 years. For boots, go with what Joseph and Glen recommend, Imperial Boots. I just bought a pair in December 2019 for my sandy and they are very comfortable. Still breaking them in while I work on the costume. Price is good too. Best of luck with your armor. Certainly visit the FISD builds when you can, it’s a great motivator. See you on the forum! Feel free to reach out to ask questions when you need help.
