  1. The dome positioning is all yours! If you like the brow as it sits right now, then it's all good . Before drilling the side holes just make sure the curved side sections of the Cap & Back sit flush and tight againt the faceplate or your holes might be misaligned after drilling. Teeth are better now, once the frown painted they'll do the job.
  2. I think this improvement could be nice to add too : (pic borrowed from T-Jay thread)
  3. This holster underneath is the "Simon's holster", which is kind of unique, i don't think there's two of them The shape is different; there's no holding strap; the fastening to the belt is different; it is made of one piece folded over, etc...
  4. I find this helmet really impressive! And i like the ears positioning, they're spot on Just why didn't you put the third screw?
  5. Totally closed. Only a thin seam line is allowed
  6. Since your holster is not the "Simon's holster" i'd use the first positioning I don't think the position from the ammo belt end is that important, the most important is the rivets location.
  7. A thing that might be a solution would be to trim only the inner wrist half of the forearms in a diagonal line, like the right one on the pic below:
  8. First, if i were to trim the arms, i would do it at the wrist ends. However maybe your problem for bending your arms is just due to your biceps dropping too low. Have you ever thought about biceps hooks? It will keep them up, as preventing them a bit from twisting. And wait for the drop boxes to be strapped in place before fully understand all the rattling you will do when walking
  9. Indeed! Find you a new blaster and you should be able to obtain Centurion right after
  10. I think you can trim a lot more around your crotch right now, just follow the recess: And the crotch rivet is left unpainted:
  11. When i talk about paint, it was the grey areas About the teeth they might could be a little more squared at the top and bottom:
  12. That's what i thought but wasn't sure, so i just wanted to check with you
  13. Looks like a good start However, i wouldn't trying to level the imperfections. First, because the original helmets were full of them. Second, because i wouldn't try at all heating the helmet, it is extremely thin and warping risks are way too high, Third, because i think most of the imperfections are located on the areas which will be painted later on, and the paint will hide them for you; or located at the junctions between the face & back, which will mostly be covered by the ears.
  14. Are going for a shape in particular? And have you planned to add the wings in the front of the baseplate?
  15. Thighs For 501st approval: Thigh armor shall be closed in the back. The small ammo belt is installed on the bottom of the right thigh. That's all the basic approval requires about the thigh ammo belt
  16. I'll be honest, i don't understand doing this for a display blaster... To me a display piece is meant to replicate an original movie prop to show people who will look at it how it was originally done on the film; and so with the bent end going through the barrel. Why not for a trooping purpose but not for a display one. Even though i don't see why trying to enhance things which already work so well.
  17. I told myself the same. The front cover strips are good but the back ones are really wide, and i don't feel like you need this extra width. It would be good to size them down. Are your back thighs cover strips as wide?
  18. Looks excellent, i love the lightsaber i would just have fitted more the thighs. Mcquarries troopers are very form fitted:
  19. Both front flat areas are cut to 8mm fo a 15mm cover strip to be glued, then adjustments to make it fits are made in the back. And if it requires to remove the flat areas in the back then do it, these are here only for people using the overlap technique.
  20. Velcro is still approvable for EIB and Centurion. However i wouldn't be surprised if one day hooks become required for Centurion.
  21. Hum, the CRl isn't based on the same helmet version you have. Yours is based on this one, and they appear grey/metallic so i don't think it should be a problem.
  22. It's starting to look incredible! That second torso shot is awesome About the butt plate snaps, even though some armors had only one snap like you've done and like the RS suit, Centurion requires 2 to be present. Like three of the armors on the pic below:
  23. It's not finished without the ab buttons (or at least the four lined ones)! ...And the boots are awful ... and where's the scope rail, scope and hengstler ? You thought you could cheat us ? Go back to work !!
