  1. They made really nice custom-replicas of e-11 for ANH/ESB which were screen-used. I do not know precisely what material they used, others blaster armourers would certainly know it, but here's an interesting link about the specificities of these blasters: http://www.originalprop.com/blog/movie-guns/star-wars-episode-iv-a-new-hope/ Also here's a comparison thread posted by a fellow membner of the German Garrison: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/25183-blaster-comperison-bapty10-vs-bapty20/ And a very recent build thread, once again by a German member: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/26834-making-of-tunisian-e-11-blaster/#entry339585
  2. Have you ever thought about doing a Bapty blaster Aaron?
  3. Clearly not NE. Looks more like ATA for me. If so you can go for it, it's a nice kit.
  4. Helmet looks great, but actually i've never seen a helmet with so few vertical lines in the rear traps. They're usually 11, or 12, or 13:
  5. Drop boxes are fine, as the TD clips. Pics taken from the reference pictures: Would be good to put some white paint on those side rivets though.
  6. You don't really need a return edge at the top as it will be covered by the shoulder bell. Just keep a little one at the indent. And keep it minimal at the bottom, it will help preventing pinches.
  7. if you're using Chrome you can also do it that way: 1°/ Right click on your picture opened in your browser and select "Copy image" 2°/ Then right click on the text zone and select "Past" 3°/ Done
  8. If the magazine would have been chopped off above the magazine clip pin, it shouldn't be there:
  9. I don't think Paul would have ever built an armor without the brackets
  10. All this uber accurate stuff and you are wondering if you will use the accurate brackets?!? It's nonsense Good luck with the build!
  11. Excellent work once again on that magazine. You are... talented!! I kind of feel guilty now, it was so much easier for me as i used the same magazine than DarthChridan
  12. That picture should be pinned! This is night and day
  13. Thanks go to you too Diana! Your build thread has been such a pleasure to follow And yes, the thing that always bothers me during trooping is when people ask for a helmet off picture at the end of the troop. I always think: "Damn, my hair must be a mess... "
  14. Sniper knee plate looks so easy with TM And indeed the end caps seem a bit short, they should be around 20mm:
  15. Take the helmet off picture BEFORE all the others (it's hard to comb your hair with the chemical gloves )!
  16. Actually i kind of liked the texture, but when prepping the blaster and painting it i always finished by loosing it so... you did good to clean them
  17. It looks really great so far! Don't mess the arms strapping and you'll be perfect. Your belt could sit a bit higher on your abdominale plate though, should be right under the ab buttons or slightly covering them; and the drop boxe and your left seems not perfectly aligned with the end of the ammo belt: All the time! That's why you cannot bend the head down when in armor, you have to lean forward if you want to look down!
  18. That stock looks soo much better, what an improvement! You are nailing it Lou, keep it up!!
  19. In fact, it was part of a DVH kit which should become available again soon: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/26797-returning-soondvh-e-11-pipe-build-kits-v2/
  20. Doopydoo's builds just keep getting better and better! A year ago, i had never seen anyone making this mod, and now it seems like it has become a "classic" mod . But i like the fact you also took the time to work on the extractor (or whatever it is called!). It is often overlooked And to keep you occupied before the painting i have a mod to submit to you. On my cast of an original inner bolt there is a serial number at the top, that you can also guess on the reference pics: So... do you feel like you'd be able to recreate those?!?
  21. Our Deployment Officer Steve (Gazmosis) is currently in vacation to the 5th of April. Just a little more wait...
  22. That's how i imagined you would do. The only question is: When the mod will be over, will the outside aspect be the same than if you wouldn't have done it? If yes, then it should be no problem for approval.
  23. I wouldn't be surprise for it to be a show-stopper for Centurion. It would certainly alterate the mic tips outside look when looking at them (basically you should become able to see-trough them). For example, this Centurion has been asked to removed his Mictips w/ Speakers for the approval because of the altered outside look: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/24314-tk-8145-requesting-anh-stunt-centurion-status-91-rs/
