  1. I'm gonna keep am eye on this topic as I bought a bunch of foam a few months ago but am still unsure if I want to build it, plus I have no idea of what to use for helmet.. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
  2. I didn't want to say anything but yeah... ask Eric how much I complained already lol Edit: and not just the forums, sadly enough..
  3. You'd think they would streamline the process over time if the same problems come back every year..
  4. yeah I found out about that the hard way.. ppl had plans with me and I was looking forward to it too Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
  5. That makes it a different situation indeed, that's not something you will be able to fix easily, I agree. As far as where it has to sit, that was never my train of thought, more as to see if it was possible to get the buttplate more aligned with the back but again, that's might be a bit hard to realize I am not sure what the DO thinks of this, like you said, it can always be redone. But perhaps it's an idea to get a sharpie and simply color the logo black so it's invisible? Of course I have no idea what kind of under armor you use and how the logo sits on it and such so it might be that what I say is simply impossible.. just trying to think of a way so the excess fabric on the side doesn't show. Is this extended neckseal drape actually going around your arms (underneath the armpits)? That's a bit where I noticed it. It seems like a lot of fabric that you shouldn't have there.
  6. Looking good! Great to see another "bigger" trooper in an AP (well, bigger in the sense of, AP is small lol) One thing I noticed in your pictures though, and it's simple and only for vision, is your belt.. it's just above the butt plate which makes the butt plate sit a bit ugly. It's nothing serious and the DO might not care about it but if you make sure the belt is a bit lower on the back, it will look a lot better A few other things I am wondering about, but probably is nothing again (lol), is the tube strips on the right side (for the viewer), it seems they're pretty high up there but like said, it's probably no issue and it's probably just me nitpicking haha What kind of under armor are you wearing btw? It kind of looks like you have sleeveless tshirt or anything over the under armor? All in all it looks very good though
  7. Depends on your definition of a nice car.. I know people who like 500 dollar civics while I drive something german lol
  8. Just took a look and now I'm really curious what that secret phrase is or how ppl can find out lol.. it's not something I would've made like that lol Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
  9. They have Leia in the 2nd vid
  10. I don't think I would want to do that in real armor haha
  11. Those full suits are nice though.. but yeah, if they ask so much for the helmet alone, it makes me wonder how much they want for the whole suit lol
  12. $3500? Really??? http://store.carbonfibergear.com/carbon-fiber-stormtrooper-helmet-as-seen-on-pawn-stars-1-of-1 And they actually sold it too... Crazy! They first tried to sell it in a pawn shop on the History Channel: http://www.history.com/shows/pawn-stars/videos/pawn-stars-hair-force-one#pawn-stars-hair-force-one ...they asked 4000! Even the 1000 they offered was too much if you ask me. Thanks to Mr. Gardner for posting this on the Legion boards (yup, I stole it )
  13. OMG why don't they have my size? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
  14. Just make sure the bucket is not too tight... that way you can move your head a little bit without moving the bucket
  15. +1 they're awesome girls!
  16. lol not really.. I'm warm blooded, I hate the cold, always did lol. When I was a kid, when we had snow, I often wore two pants over each other lol.. and no need to be jealous.. it's averaging 65 lately (colder at night/warmer during the day) and it's wet, wet, wet in the area where I live now lol.. (ok, if you're in town (Honolulu), then it's easily 75-80, we just made a tactical error last year when we bought this house and came from a more desert-like area here in HI (where it was easily 90F during the day, 95 inside the house lol)). Oh well, I'm complaining now but at times I do miss my old country.. and since Ed and Julie left the islands, my wife and I have given moving out of HI also a lot of thought... things are considerably cheaper on the mainland, plus flying to Europe would be cheaper too, giving me more chances in seeing my family. I totally agree, I know Ed's offer and it's too good to pass on, especially with the low cost of living on the mainland. If we were you guys we would've done the same. Funny enough what you are going for now was always my plan (still thinking about doing it), to have a home here and one in Europe (ok, you're in TN lol). We got one advantage on you guys though, we will not be without a home in HI if we sell this one (one of them is just in a 'wrong' area, down in Waipahu lol)
  17. sorry lol I'm from the Netherlands but I'm complaining when it hits below 70 here in HI lol
  18. Good luck, Karin. Hope things work out for the best for you.
  19. This is so awesome! And I'm happy to see you will soon be starting a new run because my plans are back up so I want one, especially now lol
  20. If you have to use something for a movie and you know up front the armor is most likely going to be damaged, I would indeed use armor like this as this is much cheaper than some of the other armors. You can mod them to TD afterwards indeed, as long as it is minor damage. It's not that much that you would have to change
  21. Maybe that's what he meant.. Hope not for you, you'd be very busy lol Unless, and there is a catch... often I hear people say "the next" when they mean the one after this coming one.. Like "next Thursday" is not meant as this coming Thursday but the one after that. Kinda saved him for the second time in this thread with a loophole lol
