  1. I'm in on this one too!!
  2. I'm a bit tall for a stormtrooper, so when I get asked about being taller then the others I give them the "no I'm really Darth Vader doing the whole "Undercover Boss" thing"! That has gotten a laugh or two so far. I love some of the other responses on this tread! I'm using a few for sure
  3. I was thinking the exact same thing!! Lol Just kidding
  4. Welcome to the Empire Mashery! Read, read, read, then ask lots of questions! We are all here to help! Drop us a line if you need a hand
  5. Oh ya, I totally vote for Grumpy Cat! Oh, and ice cream, ya that too
  6. I agree with Fredrik. With just a few simple tools, mainly a clamp asst. and two or three small hand tools, it can come together pretty easily. Just ask for help along the way and many of us will talk ya through it and offer advise. The money you save can go a long ways toward other incidentals like your blaster or up graded pieces!
  7. Ahh, Vilfredo Pareto. I know his work well. Had to do a paper on his work in college! And yup, still holds true! And yup, "coughnerdcough"
  8. I spent most of the month tightening up my TK for Centurion. But, I have made a master list of materials I need to do my Vader. I signed up on the Sith Detachment and have been trolling around FS threads for the beginning pieces. Still on track for a Dec. approval! I did get a good lead at the Garrison Party though. Fingers crossed
  9. Hahahahahaha, that's beautiful!!! Now I'm gonna have to pay attention to where my bucket is pointing
  10. Mine is all of my families first stock car numbers when we started racing; 5 = my sons number, 4 = my number, 548 = my dads number. Hence TK 54548!
  11. Man, that is wrong on so many levels! Hahahahahahaha
  12. You can sit down?!?!?!?? You Are Awesome . I can't even kneel to talk to kids yet.
  13. TieRacer

    Woohoo!

When I got my email from Rob I went nuts! My wife is starting to come around but at that point she thought I was going crazy ( which I know I'm not because my mother had me tested and said I was special ) and couldn't figure out why I was smiling soooo much! Good luck on your build and if you have any questions drop me a line!
  14. Dude, all I can say is..... WOW!! Even gave me ideas to improve my EIB armor
  15. Now, THAT is my kind of AT-AT! I'd be all down to be an AT-AT driver in a Carribean invasion
  16. I too saw ANH at a drive-in theater waaaaaay back in '77 with my parents and have been hooked ever since. In fact, my name on my race car is flanked by the American flag on one side and the Rebel logo on the other. Of course now I have to change that to an Imperial Cog! But since I started racing its been there But I say you're never too old to have fun!
  17. Ok, now that was funny right there! I totally have to steal this to use at work!!!!
  18. Congrats Jamie. Good looking TK! The Emperor will be pleased
  19. THAT'S a cool model! If you get one I wanna see pics Congrats on the AT-AT score by the way!
  20. Haha, you said squirrel! my wife says I'm totally "Doug the Dog"
  21. See, now that makes more sense to me. The guy I spoke with at the company seemed put out that I was calling in the first place and just rattlled off something to get off the phone. Either way it's a good idea to keep a watch out for this and use as little as possible to get the bond. It sucks to damage any armor!
  22. White ABS. It is a RTMod kit. I used E2000 on all of my build, but on my shoulder straps I put glue between a spacer and the strap, then between the spacer and my chest plate as sort of a sandwich. I put a clamp on it over night and the next morning I found the deformation. To be fair I used more glue then on any where else due to the space I was trying to fill. When I inquired about it to the company they explained that as the hardening agent evaporated it sets but when there is ALOT and no place to evaporate to then it permeates the surrounding plastic and softens it. It will harden over time but you have to be careful in the mean time. Lesson learned on THAT one
  23. My shoulder straps did that to with E6000. I was told it happens if you use too much at one time. Mine let the clamps sink into the plastic. It will harden but the damage is done by then.
  24. I'm in for helping get to that # by the end of the year! Like I said I'm totally crafty impaired so if I can do it ANYBODY can do it!
  25. Happy New Year to all my new friends I've met here in the 501st and all my new friends I have yet to meet! Troop On
