  1. Great job David! Another great looking TK for the Empire!
  2. Thanks Keith! I see by your sig you're a King fan too. I just KNOW Flagg was a Sith Lord! Hahahahahaha
  3. I'm up for my first official and MANY troops for the year. And now that you all got me hooked on this and now that I've seen what this does for kids ( I visited our local hospital children's ward ) I'm really down for starting and approving a Darth Vader! I'd also really like to get my wife into a 501st approved costume. She's interested in an Imperial Officer which is a far cry from when I started she thought I was nuts!
  4. Great job trooper! Keep it going. It is WELL worth it when you get your approval. I still look back at it and smile!
  5. Yep, I was thinking the same thing. I'll begin working on that this weekend. I think that would be a nice looking mod now that I look at it again. With a couple of small tweaks and a better blaster I'm just a smidge off of Centurion.
  6. It was pretty big. Maybe stood a foot or so tall with pretty good detail. I build two, one standard and one with battle damage. I sold both awhile back and am now kicking myself in the rear for it!
  7. Sounds like you're looking for the MPC/ERTL kit. I had one of these years ago and it sounds ALOT like your description.
  8. Yay, I made it into the first 300 club! Hey guys if I can do it ANYONE can do it If I can help anyone just drop me a line.
  9. Shhhhhh, don't tell people that!
  10. Dude you are awesome! That was fast!
  11. COOL MAN!! Thank you very much. Now to get out trooping and make the Empire proud. Thanks to all the guys that have helped with advise, now maybe I can part some of that to other newbies on a "been there, done that" basis to help repay the favor!
  12. Sam Newcomer 54548 EIB A4 Thank you so much! Happy New Year!
  13. Ok, Ok I CAN DO IT !!! So here we go....... Repositioned Knee ammo pack w/ more pronounced radius. Still have a buff out or two on the old hole but I think it came out OK. But man that was a work out! Lowered Holster rivits and cleaned up the belt edges Again, thanks for all the help and encouragement! And i swear I really DO have a job and don't just work on Stormtrooper armor all day even though thats what my employees seem to think! Any other questions just let me know.
  14. Biceps look better in those shots too. But I did add a strap from my bicep to my forearm to keep them down when I drop my arms to my sides.
  15. Ok, lets try these on for size and see if they help. Rank stripe added to ears Enlarged 45 degree angles on ammo belt Dyed straps a better color brown Another action shot " move along, move along! " At ease trooper! Hope these help alittle. I still haven't figured out how to fix my thigh ammo boxes yet. I forgot that after I rivited it in place I also glued it for support. oops, hind sight is 20/20 on that one! I'll work on it though.
  16. Thanks again for the input. I have a new holster coming that is in the proper black leather with brown straps and I'll lower the rivets a bit. I just painted my ear rank and cleaned up the angles on my belt and thigh ammo pack. I see what you say about angling up the thigh ammo pack up but that looks a bit off to me. I have one idea I'm toying with that might work. Oh and I put bicep straps on the keep them lower. I'll post pics tonight with the changes to see what you all think. thanks again for all the input! You guys are great, I see why I wanted to join up!
  17. Thanks guys! I'll do the corners on the belt today ( gets me away from the inlaws don't you know! ) and yes, the belt buttons are molded onto the RTMod belt. The thigh ammo pack is as low as I could get it and still be attached to look good. I'll radius the ends a bit more too. Being tall makes for larger gaps at the joints. If I drop the rivets on the ammo boxes then they will be angled upwards. Is that OK or should I move it? I tried putting it that way as I built it but I didn't think it looked right.
  18. Ya, the biceps rode up a bit because I took the standing shots after the action shot and they moved up. I think I'm gonna add a strap to my fore arm to help keep them down after I move. The button on my belt is round but it is molded into the belt so it's a little soft on edge. I do see I need to add a stripe on the ear but I thought that was a rank stripe and since I'm a newbie I figured I did get one yet the sniper plate has the small indent where the clamp was holding it down in the corner. I may have to do that one over in the future. I'll notch the belt corners a little more. The belt end comes up under the TD. Should it meet more in the center? Good feed back so far. Keep it coming!

  21. Alright, that was some funny stuff right there!!
  22. Hey guys, I just got an email from Rob and he is sending me a new ab plate. This guy is just awesome!!! In the mean time I'll do a little more fitting and finish my blaster. I thought about taking the old ab plate and adding some blast damage or the like, what do you guys thing of that?
  23. Hey Jesse, no I didn't hardly trim at all. It came together pretty easy. I just fit one piece per night and plugged away at it. I did the over lapping seems as the instructions said and used E6000 on all of it. Just watch out for using too much glue and overly strong clamps so as to not deform the pieces. So far the only issue I have come up with is that the ab button plate is molded on upside down. But that shouldn't be that big of a deal. Good luck on your build too! Hope to troop with you and my Garrison mates soon!
  24. Ok, here we go Rubber chemical gloves with latex hand guards Glued shoulder straps that float in the rear Sniper plate with no visible rivits Bucket off. I still need to paint the ab buttons and install thigh ammo belt Bucket on !!!!! What do you think so far?
  25. Got to do a test fitting last night!!! Nothing like putting on your bucket on a full set of armor to get you motivated! Ran into a few fitting issues but nothing to bad ( I hope ) that I can't work on. If I could figure out how to post pics on this stupid computer I will so I can get some input from you guys.
