  1. I used the sanding drum for the Dremel and went around the entire edge of the eye socket slowly until I broke through, lifting off the flap of plastic that covers the eye socket and now with an exposed edge all the way around slowly dremelled until I reached the pencil line drawn....
  2. Oztrooper

  3. See...!?!....Nothing to worry about ...! ...Looks great !!!
  4. I believe it screws into the inside threads on the large end of the scope much like a camera lens filter does on a SLR...without actually having the scope in front of you to examine it I cannot be certain....I do know these were originally tank-spotting scopes used by the Military....if you were able to look through the small end of the scope (it is a telescope) then you would be able to determine what the extension actually provides in term of function....
  5. The lettering on the large end of the scope should read TELESCOPE M38 with some other letters/numbers....it looks as though a light diffuser/ filter/ anti glare shroud has been attached/screwed on...Vern (TKBondservant) will probably know more about this...
  6. Yeah mate, from one aussie to another I am stoked with AP ...I'm 5' 11" and around 185 and it fits great !!!
  7. +1 !!!
  8. I own an AP and you can straighten it but it takes a LOT of messing around...and a heat gun over the RH edge (facing away from you) to recorrect the bend that makes it sit crooked....I'll try and post pix so to help visualize what I'm referring to...probably will post pix tomorrow...just got home from work and am beat...
  9. Vern, Your knowledge and know-how is an inspiration to us all...I for one know I can come to you with a question and you'll provide me with an accurate, no nonsense style answer that I grew up appreciating...next time I'm up north would love to connect with you...
