  1. Think everyone makes the odd mistake or two, I did as I found out applying for EIB, but it is a learning journey for us all and now I am EIB approved and waiting to hear back about my Centurion application
  2. You never know how long Centurion approval will take, I could be EIB for quite a while

  11. Looking good, just one thing the straps on you butt to kidney are not spaced very wide, have a look at the pic on the ipad LOL I found I needed to space them out quite wide as it does want to kick out on the sides

  19. I'm from the old school so we got brought up on playing outside and getting dirtly, maybe I should become a santrooper LOL
  20. Thanks Tony, had a blast with the build, helped going through threads like yours to learn what to do before my armor even got here
  21. Thank you Serge, have everything crossed at the moment LOL
  22. Lol I used jars of spaghetti sauce but didn't post pics as I thought people would laugh at me . I found holding the piece to trim in one hand and hold the dremmel in the other and rest against my leg, gave a lot of control. Used mainly a cutting disc and the round sanding tubes. While waiting for the armor I did a lot of research, downloading and asking questions so I pretty much knew what to do when it arrived. So time for a rest, there will be some celebrating tonight and no doubt a site head in the morning. Oh btw I'm still smiling lol
  23. Thank you, wasn't until I was looking at the photos online that I really noticed the tube stripes, I have seen others around the same distance so I think my chances are 50/50. I don't have steady hands so I used stickers so at least they are easy to remove, as to replace well that would no doubt take a few weeks maybe longer because of Christmas break, would have to order some. I am thinking of just ordering a set and changing them later even if I do get Centurion approval, gone this far and I want to look right
  24. Thank you, I just over engineered by adding the straps, calves are nice and snug so not a problem may just add a little foam inside my thighs as I do have skinny legs. Mostly added the straps to keep the thighs and shins in alignment, not a problem they were only held by snaps, removed now. Most of my trimming was done by dremmel, or should I say my cheap knock off brand and running a pencil on the edges. I have done model making and also auto panel beating so I do have a bit of an eye for lines and curves. Build took from arrival to finish exactly 2 weeks, spent one full weekend and prob a couple of hours each day. I do tend to get carried away but I get bored quickly so it's best for me to build quickly. Found the lack of enough magnets and clamps the greatest pain, everyday shuffle, glue, clamp morning and night, got the job done. I hope I can give back more than I have taken and the learning will never end
  25. Thanks I have contacted Paul
