  1. Hovi mic system here http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31436-fs-ukswraths-hovi-mic-tips-with-speakers-crl-accurate-tips/
  2. If you go to the pm and in the left hand corner you will see a box with participants, if the other person has read the message it will say there. But some read the email sent to them once they receive a pm and don't necessarily read the actual pm.
  3. Most use the Aker 1506 10watt, comes with microphone and charger, can be acquired from eBay http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/10W-AKER-MR1506-Portable-Microphone-Waistband-Voice-Booster-Amplifier-Speaker-/302053377174?hash=item4653c8c496:g:b18AAOSwSlBYx6DQ. This amp works well with the Icomm static burst unit http://store.voicebooster.com/icomm-imperial-communication-system/
  4. Hold the back of the rivet tightly with pliers, use a very sharp drip bit on slow speed and try not to turn the rivet when drilling, if it spins it will cause heat, go slow.
  5. They weren't happy with the quality of what they received and one had a dented chest section. One member on sold his kit the other is turning it into a sandy. NOTE these were from a sale run not the 40th anniversary kits.
  6. I have two local troopers that purchased form RS's last unbelievable sale, neither where happy once they opened their boxes, hopefully things have improved
  7. Meh, think I'll wait for the movie
  8. Some will keep the home fires burning
  9. Good luck with the build
  10. Great news and good luck with the build, make sure you do your research, measure twice and cut once. Holsters are required for approval even if you are using a DLT19, they are not an option
  11. From a previous post regarding email contact:
  12. Nice work, I would bring the thighs up a little but that's not a biggy, biceps could also come up a little, also rotate the forearms outwards a bit. Good luck on approval, I think you will be fine
  13. Really depends on how long you troop and how often, I've not kept a record but I gave mine a recharge after 6 months just in case as I was going to a 2 day con. You can purchase the batteries with a charger, I use the same batteries for my E-11 electronics so always have spares charged just in case any go flat.
  14. Having Anovos and seeing the other kits available close up I'd say wait and stay with Anovos. Unless they have changed the way they are put together you will need to fill and paint, no different to a clone build. Paint can be protected as I have found by making soft pouches for every piece so they don't get chipped and scratched.
  15. Thanks Tony, thread is here http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/37188-modding-the-icomm-with-an-external-battery/?hl=%2Bicomm+%2Bbattery
  16. Google search is thy friend https://www.google.com.au/search?q=stormtrooper+holster&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiA8Y6a8IvTAhUK2LwKHeIcCcEQ_AUIBigB&biw=1279&bih=639#spf=1
  17. Some of us can't access those batteries locally so we mod for an external AA 3.7V, has worked great for 2 years.
  18. Love a BBB, research is the key, once you trim your first pieces you will wonder what all the worry was about, I'm sure you'll do fine, good luck with the build
  19. We haven't been clearing boots with seams locally because the CRL clearly shoes boots without, perhaps contact your GML direct and see what he/she says
  20. Perhaps send the question to the LMO (Legion Membership Officer) they after all clear all new to the legion costumes and I'm sure will be able to advise you [email protected]
  21. Over time I prefer using snaps, Velcro does eventually loose it's grip but as others have said if it's not seen then there are no issues using it.
