  1. Jimmioquai on FB, Mimmic on the RPF (replica prop forum), KB Props on FB just to name a few.
  2. As others have stated it helps to hide your eyes from those looking in. With a white interior it does tend to pick up outside light and reflection of light upwards off the armor.
  3. Can't seem to open the page. We do advise not to purchase from eBay, that's not to say that the armor is not correct but generally most will try to sell armor on the forums if they know it is good quality. Have a read through the getting started section, lots of helpful info there for the first time purchaser.
  4. As Randy has said there are no issues with either, I'd suggest looking through some of the build threads to compare sizing and quality, good luck which ever you decide.
  5. Sounds good, I only added 2.75" as it is in the FOTI CRL
  6. Many thanks for the kind words Steve.

  8. Good luck, hope everything works out this time. Don't get down, sometimes it's just a matter of adjustments, I'm sure you'll receive approval soon.
  9. Local rules as well as from LFL, may dictate the use or lack of use of a blaster at events. Recently form LFL a request was put out not to use weapons at official events in these areas "We do find ourselves in an era, however, in which the appearance of realistic weapons in public is becoming more and more of an issue. Because of this, a general request is being made for all official appearances in the European, Middle Eastern, and African regions, that replica blasters (or anything resembling a real-life firearm) not be displayed in public. Please note that this is simply a stated preference, and one that only applies to cast and paid appearances and open invites initiated by Disney and/or Lucasfilm."
  10. You can adjust the thickness in your print settings, looks pretty fine, the finer the longer it takes to print but the less clean up and sanding you have to do. Looking good
  11. Looking forward to the progress
  12. Weird I can see them!
  13. Was hoping to see how much return edge you had on the bottom, as this can also make the shoulder pull away if there is too much material left ----------
  14. Can you show the return edge on the bottom of the shoulder bell
  15. Many thanks Randy
  16. Thanks guys
  17. Coming along nicely, like the fix on the tooth, well done.
  18. Congratulations and good luck, you can ask for a forum upgrade here
  19. Coming along nicely, I've not had an issue with drips, but depends on brand, nozzle and how you keep your finger on it, just keep checking there isn't a build up of paint around the tip while painting.
  20. Yay BBB (big brown box) oh wait, IBB (itsy bitsy box). Well every piece adds up in the end I also use imgur and have had no troubles so far, it's really hit and miss with free hosts, any of them can start charging at any stage, I'm just cheap and don't want to pay for it
  21. It's from a local automotive chain store here in Australia, automotive acrylic paint is pretty much the same so any good brand should be ok BUT you can't paint acrylic paint over enamel as it will react and bubble so be careful there
  22. It really depends on the paint and masking tape you use, I find enamel paints tend to stick as they are quite thick, another reason I prefer using automotive acrylic paint, dries fast and coats are much thinner. I also take the tape off before it is fully dry, easier to separate the tape from paint while slightly wet.
  23. Hello and welcome, the bump in the eye is very screen accurate so don't worry about that ;). Great news you are aiming for centurion right of the bat, best way to build from the start. Looking forward to the progress, good luck
  24. Thought it would
