chiefbonan's TK ANH Stunt Build (Centurion)
gmrhodes13 replied to chiefbonan's topic in ANH Build Threads
Nice work on the shape but they are a little rough looking on the top, not sure it that's paint though? For basic approval your GML (garrison membership liaison) would be deciding so I would check with him/her. For L3 it is required that you bend them to show they are latex (or latex like) so yo may want to try that, ultimately you would need one of our Deployment Officers to chime in, I'll tag them now @justjoseph63 @shashachu -
TK-77712 Requesting ANH STUNT EIB Status (AP) (953)
gmrhodes13 replied to husky68's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Mobility cuts are a little different to just an opening in the middle of the ridge as shown below. Because of the gap you already have between your thighs and shins I personally wouldn't cut out the extra I would fill the gp in the ridge, but it's a Deployment Officer call so you can wait for what they say. -
TK-77712 Requesting ANH STUNT EIB Status (AP) (953)

Nice work trooper, just a couple of things you may need to address. Remove a little paint from the teeth area, you have just couple of areas they appear to go onto the gums Frown is painted gray and does not leave the teeth area Also not sure if your shins are close all the way at the back but you do have a gap at the top on the ridges perhaps if they are closed add some strips of abs behind, compare with the CRL reference Good luck with approval trooper -
Small thin flat files, you can normally get them in sets, round ones are good for curved corners too https://www.harborfreight.com/12-piece-precision-needle-file-set-4614.html

Depends on the armor, you'll find if you wrap painters tape around quite tightly they will pull together. I use a combination of clamps, magnets and tape for assembly. For getting your trim lines nice and straight after cutting a long block of wood with sandpaper wrapped around can help. Also scuff the surfaces that will be glued with some sandpaper, gives the E6000 something to grip too, any excess glue you can usually rub off with your thumb once dried.

Authentic Props Stormtrooper Armour

I would suggest having a look through some of the build threads, many post what they use in the helmets and armor in regards to electronics -

ANH Stunt - belt attachment suggestion
gmrhodes13 replied to CableGuy's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
This is one of those way outdated images which are still referenced, hopefully when the How To sections get a good going through some of the basic info and images can be updated. I know when I started I used Billhags images a lot but looking back they are pretty outdated with some details compared to what we know now. -
Completly new in everything

Hello and welcome aboard, researching is the key so you are on the right path, as well as going through the "Getting Started" section you could also perhaps have a look through some of the build threads, will give you a good idea of different armor and the building process. Good luck and hope to see a build thread from you soon. -
Nothing better than BBB's. Isn't it amazing at times you hear a voice saying to yourself "If you trim that way you'll cut yourself" yet you still go and do it Looking forward to the progress good luck

Fish's ANOVOS Build Thread - Aspiring for L3
gmrhodes13 replied to fishgoh0nk's topic in ANH (Stunt and Hero)
Thighs could definitely come up a little you do have a lot of gap there. You could also add some foam behind the sniper plate to help push it forward away form the knee. One other thing and I'm sure it may be a dressing thing but I can see the opening of your shins from the sides, just making sure you have overlapped outside over inside -

I don't think any GML would approve, no option for no tube stripes in the CRL: Helmet Tube stripes are medium blue, numbering between 9 and 16 per side with the curve bends extending backwards. -

Having skinny legs I find mine hit when standing but I tend to widen my stance, especially when walking . But yes always best to trial fit will all pieces of armor on -
You may want to remove a little paint from around the teeth area Frown is painted gray and does not leave the teeth area.

You don't have access to the gallery section ?
-
You'll find most cover strip sizes in this part of the "gallery section"
-
It just seems many either don't see it or are just too lazy to go look there, some pretty silly questions get asked at times and I think to myself "go check the gallery". If it could be made more prominent I think that would be good. I actually do use the activity tab quite a lot for refreshing and it's easy to access on that corner . I'm wondering if a second menu bar or sub bar could be added to the left, something that would show in web/tab or mobile view ?

25mm rear is standards size for shins no matter what you use You will find most measurements in the "gallery sections" doing a little research is part of this hobby

chiefbonan's TK ANH Stunt Build (Centurion)
gmrhodes13 replied to chiefbonan's topic in ANH Build Threads
Hopefully the neck is high enough, sometimes the lower neck boots will pull out from under the shins, either adding velco or elastic and snaps to hold them in place could help. Also notice the elastic on the sides is a lot lower on your pair, although a GML possibly wouldn't notice that, could be picked up at higher levels though. -

Yes comes up from time to time, many don't notice him in the movies until they actually start working on a costume. One of the many threads discussing him: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/23571-mr-no-stripes/ -
Standards are @ Bicep & forearms 15mm shins front & thighs 20mm back of shin 25 if using Velcro
