  1. Great update, looking much better
  2. Now be very very careful leaving in the sun, pieces can distort if it's too hot. Really depends on how flexible the fiberglass still is, I've had two different lots from Jim and one was a lot softer than the other, had a bicep which started out round distort oval, managed to save with wrapping tape around and leaving. With the putty as it does contain acetone it may very well have reacted with the primer, or the primer may still have been a little soft, or was too hot
  3. There will also be a special piece I've been putting together for use in the newsletter for when we reach 1000

  6. Congratulations and welcome to the ranks trooper
  7. Nice to see a photo, most of us use an online free image host, upload and copy the "direct link" into our threads, I use Imgur, a how to thread can be found here
  8. Nice little paint area there, I have space between the sheds and house so I normally make a tarpaulin booth, sides, roof and floor, takes some time setting up but well worth keeping the overspray at bay. A good tip to find imperfections is to give a very fine mist coat of black over your spray putty/primer, when you wet sand it will leave areas of black were there are any imperfections or pinholes Nice work

  12. We wear cotton inner gloves inside the rubber gloves, they tend to soak up the sweat well, keep your hands cooler too. Does help having several pairs so you can swap out during long events, nothing worse than having to put a soaking sweaty pair back on .
