Expert Infantry Honor Gallery Welcome to the new Expert Infantry Honor Gallery. Click on the numbered links below to go to the image gallery for that block of application images. 1-49 50-99 100-149 150-159 200-249 250-299 300-340 350-399 400-449 450-499 500-549 550-599 600-649 650-699 700-749 750-799 800-849 850-899 900-949 950-999 1000-1049 1050-1099 In the event you do not remember your application number follow these steps: Go to Request Expert Infantryman Status area Enter your TKID in the search box and make sure you select "This Forum" then click enter (or the search icon). Search results will appear, you are only issued one EI number (see green highlighted area below). If you have achieved multiple awards they will show with a 2nd, 3rd, 4th and so on at the end of the title of the thread and no other numbers. ----------------------------- Please note some images have been lost from some EIB applications and in this case a generic image has been used, if you find your image is like this and you have a copy of your original application photos and would like it updated please contact me via private message. ----------------------------- Multiple EIB recipients in the Expert Infantry Honor Gallery After some searching I found in the past honoring multiple EIB recipients was done by combining all of their approved EIB costumes into a single animated GIF, as shown below. We will continue with this layout which is a work in progress, some of you may have noticed this has now been implemented. Also before taking your Action photo please have a read through this thread

Hello and welcome, this is not a cheap hobby at all and you can spend anything from @ $2000 upwards depending on build experience and material, you can find a vendors list here. Also a good idea to look through some of the other build threads to see what's involved in putting a costume together. Good luck with the research

You should be fine with those, if questioned you can use those references I posted above

Try using the "direct link" to your image Looks like you will need larger cover strips on the rear. BUT you will need to add more plastic to the back of the thighs before you can add cover strips. A couple of threads which may help How to make ABS paste

Nice work just a couple of things you could updatel: You do have a small area of the trap which could be painted Tube stripes ideally are a pencil width from the cheek. You have a large gap under the brow on one side, the way to remove this would be to bring your front plate further forward (would mean disassembly, slot screws, then reassembly). Mic tip angles could also be straighter, both are angled inside and upwards. "Han" snap could be closer to the corner Butt plate is being pushed backwards allowing a gap. You have a gap between the ab and kidney, perhaps some tighter strapping Drop boxes should be aligned with the ends of the plastic belt section Thigh ammo strip rivets could have been a little further away from the corner (but would only be a recommendation at higher levels). Curve cut is not usually a full curve, stops before the end of the curve Angled cuts on the belt should meet the outside edges of the fabric belt. Button cover would be closer to the ends, it may just be the image but the center button looks a bit lop sided The corners of the plastic ammo belt shall be trimmed at a 45 degree angle that that meets the outer edge of the cloth belt. Belt appears to be on an angle, could be the way the photo was taken or you may be leaning Small opening/overlap of the kidney to ab plates Personally I would cut the excess from the forearms as you may find they catch There is white writing showing on your gloves Great work all around, just a few tweaks.

Yes cover strip is glued on the outside of the shins, so it closes outside over inside, you don't see any openings them from the outside. Thighs go on first, then your boots, then your shins. "But anyways My question was did you do a few separate strips or go all the way from top to bottom with a single strip?" Separate strips?, all cover strips are full length, not cut in pieces With Velcro I prefer one piece, only a couple of corners that may pull up over time but with lots of pieces there more areas which may come up while removing, the Velcro is pretty strong. On the rear of the shin the coverstrip finishes below the top ridge section.

Some info: "This is what I think I need to do based on my research, but please chime in if you have suggestions. 1) Boil Water 2) transfer water to large container as required or leave in pot with stove off if large enough 3) Dip/submerge part into water for about 30 seconds a) Part must be wrapped in tape or zip ties or similar to mold into desired shape 4) Repeat as neccessary 5) Once part looks like it has been shaped, immediately dose with cold water to set in new shape" Example using water bath in thread RS shins not lining up is common

Nice work on getting rid of print lines on that blaster. It's a shame ATA has never updated their detonator, it is a lot smaller than a lot of other makers. Here's a couple of references on the TD to show the rotation of the detonator on the belt. I would agree and cut your brackets, you don't want the control panel too high, notice the raised O is fully visible so adjust the placement of the panel to that.

I found I needed to use a little heat to help get the pieces to sit right, I use a heat gun but you need a lot of experience with heating ABS to use one, many have no problems using a hot water bath to help adjust pieces
