  3. I've only had one resin helmet with a thin area, I added some fiberglass resin and matting to the area, NOTE only add a small amount of hardener as during the curing stage it can put out some heat. You could also use JB Weld or some other type of kneadable glue or even bondo (automotive filler) but again with any 2part system watch out for heat transference
  4. Someone has to build the costume to completion then it is reviewed against reference material and if everything checks out they may then be considered as the CRL model, there also need to be a CRL written before it goes before LMO review. From the new to the legion costume guide: Typically as much time will be spent researching and looking at reference sources as it will take to make / assemble the costume. Ideally, there are clear full body pictures of the front, side, and back. Understand that a CRL undergoes many revisions by many people before publishing and that it is possible that there are multiple people working on the same costume at the same time. There are no guidelines on creating a new costume aside from reference material, and a costumer may be asked to change things multiple times. The costume will not be approved in the Membership Database until all of the steps to create the CRL are completed. The wait period from completion of costume to approval can be lengthy. The first completed costume is not always the CRL model. Sometimes multiple applicants images are used to complete a CRL Our DL has just confirmed Spec Ops will not be trying to claim this costume so it should be staying with FISD, dependent on the LMO's final say. Looking forward to seeing your build progress

  7. Descriptions starwars.com STORMTROOPERS Stormtroopers are elite shock troops fanatically loyal to the Empire and impossible to sway from the Imperial cause. They wear imposing white armor, which offers a wide range of survival equipment and temperature controls to allow the soldiers to survive in almost any environment. Stormtroopers wield blaster rifles and pistols with great skill, and attack in hordes to overwhelm their enemies. Along with standard stormtroopers, the Empire has organized several specialized units, including snowtroopers and scout troopers. Star Wars: A New Hope, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Star Wars Rebels, The Mandalorian THE NEW REPUBLIC Remnant Stormtroopers: In the aftermath of the Battle of Endor, the Empire is in disarray. Fragments of the former regime have gained footholds on distant worlds, trying to cling to what power they have. Wookieepedia Stormtroopers, nicknamed "bucketheads" and also known as Remnant Stormtroopers after the Battle of Endor, were the infantry soldiers of the Galactic Empire. The members of the Imperial Army's Stormtrooper Corps served on the frontline as elite shock troops, and their loyalty to the Empire was absolute as a result of their training. The stormtrooper armor that they wore consisted of white plastoid plates over a black body glove, and their standard weapon was the E-11 blaster rifle. In addition to the standard trooper, various specialized units such as scout troopers and snowtroopers comprised the ranks of the Stormtrooper Corps. Stormtroopers served the Empire since its inception at the end of the Clone Wars when the Sith Lord Darth Sidious declared himself Galactic Emperor. The Galactic Republic was supplanted by the Empire, and the clone troopers who formed the backbone of the Grand Army of the Republic became the first generation of Imperial stormtroopers. During the early years of the Imperial Era, the cloning operation on Kamino was shut down as the Empire turned to conscription and recruitment in order to fill the stormtrooper ranks. The remaining clones were retired from service due to their rapid aging, their legacy inherited by natural-born humans who were also trained to render total allegiance to the Emperor and his New Order. Stormtroopers were spread throughout the galaxy during the Emperor's reign, from the Imperial capital of Coruscant in the Core Worlds, to occupied planets such as Lothal and Tatooine in the Outer Rim Territories. They fought many battles against the forces of the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War, including the Battle of Scarif, the Battle of Hoth, and the Battle of Endor. Shortly before the Battle of Yavin, Princess Leia Organa was captured by stormtroopers who served under Darth Vader, the Emperor's Sith apprentice. However, Organa was rescued by Luke Skywalker and Han Solo who, disguised as stormtroopers, infiltrated the first Death Star. The Emperor stationed a legion of stormtroopers on Endor to protect the shield generator of the second Death Star, although they were defeated by the Alliance's Ewok allies. With the Emperor's death, Counselor to the Empire Gallius Rax took control of the Imperial loyalist forces which rallied to his homeworld of Jakku to make a final stand against the New Republic. After losing the Battle of Jakku, the Empire signed the Imperial Instruments of Surrender and the Galactic Concordance, and its stormtrooper forces were consequently demobilized as part of the New Republic's terms for peace. Despite this, a number of Imperial remnants continued to make use of stormtroopers as soldiers or mercenaries in the Outer Rim, including Moff Gideon's faction as well as the remnants on Morak
  8. Descriptions starwars.com INCINERATOR TROOPERS One of the most devastating of the Empire's specialized stormtrooper units, the incinerator trooper wields powerful flamethrower weaponry to set enemies and their fortifications ablaze. Wookieepedia The incinerator trooper, also known as the Incinerator Stormtrooper, and known as Burners, was a class of stormtrooper that was active during the reign of the Galactic Empire and after its fall. Wielding powerful flamethrower weaponry, the troopers were regarded as one of the most devastating of the Stormtrooper Corps' specialized contingents. Incinerator troopers would set enemies and their fortifications ablaze with their flamethrower equipment. This stormtrooper was equipped with standard issue stormtrooper armor with red markings, a pauldron, and a flamethrower with a backpack. Their armor was resistant to heat, which allowed the troopers to withstand abnormal temperatures. The incinerator trooper was used by Moff Gideon's Imperial remnant and one was deployed during a skirmish on Nevarro,
  9. Descriptions starwars.com ARTILLERY STORMTROOPER Specialized soldiers in the Imperial forces, artillery stormtroopers carry specialized indirect fire weapons like mortars onto the battlefield. From cover, they can lob explosives of difference types at a high angle to fall at precisely calculated coordinates. Wookieepedia The artillery stormtrooper also known as the Mortar Stormtrooper, was a variant of stormtrooper that specialized in indirect fire weapons such as mortars while in the battlefield. They launched explosives of different types at a high angle to fall at precisely calculated coordinates from cover. The stormtrooper was equipped with standard stormtrooper armor, albeit with yellow markings, a yellow pauldron, and a military backpack. The style and position of the yellow markings on the stormtrooper were identical to the red markings of the incinerator troopers deployed by the Imperial remnant led by Moff Gideon. One Mortar Stormtrooper participated in a skirmish on Tython.

  12. You will find that a lot of armor kits are not the same on both sides, just the way they are made. I must admit I've never noticed the slight angle on the ab/cod, but that wouldn't really make a lot of difference to the gap, it's not only at the cod you appear to have a gap, it also looks like at the top of the ab as it's pushing the chest out quite a lot. I have build an ATA for someone and did cut the sides down a little so it fitted better on the front. Try to overlap the ab and kidney when you have someone to assist then take another look.
  13. Looks like you have done some great research and have things well in hand, looking forward to seeing the progress, good luck
  14. Someone has started on a build, I believe there are some 3d files for the pack and flamethrower although I've not checked their accuracy
  15. Looking good so far, you do have quite a bit of space between your cod and body which also pushes your chest out so it ends up on an angle, you may want to try to overlap the sides and tape up again and just to see if it improves the look. Here's just a quick compare with a random EIB applicant
  16. Congrats on your first build, hopefully one of many. Some great info available on this forum, looks like you have already been doing some research which his a great start. Good luck with the build
  17. Congratulations trooper and welcome to the ranks, look forward to seeing you at EIB
  18. Many of the helmets were ANH repainted for ESB, here are some references, notice the long last painted tooth
  19. Good to see you back at this
  20. Square detail is on the left side above the trigger and between the magazine and counter as shown below
  21. Joseph has a thread here
  22. Off to a good start, here are some measurements for the detonator which may be of help
