The last month saw our founder heading out on adventure to the UK and having a great time. Sadly I wasn't able to make things line up and say hello in person but if you want to read up on his trooping experience head over here He also stopped by R.S Props and they filmed an interview And the final update from his trip. Many years ago there was a FISD flag run, which Paul has kindly lent to the UKG for us to take out and around. There is now a troop log for the flag and this already has 3 updates thanks to some troopers who can't not troop! As for me I am off for a couple of weeks shore leave so will leave you all in the capable hands of the staff whilst I enjoy the sights and sounds of Batuu East. With Unquestioned Loyalty Chris Pearson TK-10991 "themaninthesuitcase" Detachment Leader Greetings troopers, Great to see engagement continues with members updating and recording their troops in TK armour. Hopefully the update has delivered a little more of what members have been asking for in this program, with banners that are more fitting with FISD and the added recognition. We've got some exciting news for this month's newsletter! But before we get to it, let us cover some old business. Old Business "FISD EIB Coins" I am down to the last 4 EI coins for this style. The next EI coin will more than likely be whatever design we do for our 20th Anniversary, so if you are eligible to order an EI coin, and you don't want to wait until 2026, or you prefer not to have an Anniversary coin, please look into it. In order to buy one, you have to have an approved EI costume and you can not have ever bought an EIB coin from any pervious runs. EIB coins are a once and done coin. If you have this one and would prefer one of the older versions, I may have an option for you so please dm me. EIB v11 coin run is still open "FISD Stepping Out Challenge Coin" This run is complete. But I'm excited to announce that I have received some extras from the manufacturer due to the engraving issue that we had. Be on the look out for more information about how you might be able to acquire a few of these if you missed out or would like a few more. Additional information about this run can be found here. The 2025 Merch Poll closed at the end of July. Staff will be looking at the ideas to figure out what else we might be making this term. You can find the poll thread here. These coins have arrived and have been shipping since late July. If you haven't received yours, it is more than likely because you haven't paid for the shipping. Please DM me for more information. You can learn more about the run here Pin Run We are looking to do a pin run for Expert Infantry, Centurion and Attaché. The interest thread has been posted, more information here New Business Flag Run We are excited to announce that we are going to do two flag runs. For the 2nd Flag, we are going to have some of our talented members showcase their design skills. We are going to hold a "War Banner" design contest. Members that are interested in submitting a design will post their work in The "FISD "War Banner" Design Contest" thread in the Detachment Merch section of the forum. This contest will run until the end of September, at which time the Command Staff will pick a winner. GERMANY, German Garrison Torben @Tall_Trooper, Göttingen With Unquestioned Loyalty Jonatan Östling TK-23592 "Nairy" Attaché Ambassador Master Armorer Program FISD has many wonderful programs to help members build and submit costumes for our detachment, whether it be a classic Stormtrooper, a First Order Stormtrooper, or even one of the new Imperial Armored Commandos. While our Expect Infantry and Centurion programs get most of the attention, FISD staff wants to relaunch the Armorer Program (Currently called the Master Armorer Program). What is the Armorer Program you ask? Well, it is a program designed to recognize those troopers that go above and beyond to assist themselves and others in getting costumes built, submitted, and approved. One of the goals of all the detachments in the 501st Legion is to help members build and submit costumes that meet and hopefully exceed the minimum requirements of the Legion’s CRLs. Currently the Master Armorer program has the requirement of helping a minimum of 5 members achieve Expert Infantry status. The member must have spent at least 30min physically helping another member with cutting, gluing, sizing, etc, just because they want to help (no money exchanged). There are 3 levels of the award, FISD Armorer, FISD Senior Armorer and FISD Master Armorer. The new program will add a 4th level at the beginning called the Apprentice Armorer. The point scale will be as follows. 5 points - Apprentice Armorer 10 points - Armorer 20 points - Senior Armorer 30 points - Master Armorer If you love building armorer and love helping fellow members get their costumes built, then this is the program you’ve been searching for. We look forward to awarding more members with this award as we know how much we all love Troopers helping Troopers. More information can be found here Armorer Rocker Patches Rocker patches are now available for the Armorer Program, there is currently just the one patch, and members are eligible to receive two of them once they reach Level 2, "Armorer". More information can be found here Want to setup a "Fire Team? the Fire Team program is completely optional, and is intended to help form a common identity and spirit of camaraderie among 501st Legion Stormtroopers in the same geographic area/garrison that troop together. Fire Teams are not officially recognized by the 501st Legion nor the FISD, although they will be able to access a Fire Team sub-forum on the detachment website. You can find more information here. For those interested here is the original discussion on the creation of Fire teams here With Unquestioned Loyalty Mark Ryner TK-4584 "captsafe66" Fire Team Relations So what exactly are and levels? These programs were designed for those who choose to take their armor above and beyond the minimum requirements for basic 501st Legion approval. It gives you the chance to show a level of dedication and pride that takes your armor closer to being as "screen accurate" as possible, without as much extra work as you may realize! You can find more information on the programs here. For those unaware it is possible to achieve extra awards at Expert Infantry for each additional version costume you have approved, additional awards are not issued with another Expert Infantry number (you are only issued 1 Expert Infantry number) but you will see a star above the award on your profile and the thread title will show [APPROVED] 2nd, [APPROVED] 3rd, [APPROVED] 4th and so on. Multiple EIB award recipients and info here NOTE If you are approved with a "2nd Version" of a particular costume that you are already approved with you do not receive an additional award, there is only 1 award issued for each costume version ie: only 1 x Hero, 1 x Stunt, 1 x HWT, 1 x ESB, 1 x TFA and so on. If you have a second/additional version costume approved you will see "2nd Version" and [APPROVED] added to the thread title, no additional profile stars (more info on profile awards here) For those of you who have a particular issue (or issues) before or after submitting for Expert Infantry / Centurion level approval, in order to get you an answer faster you can now privately contact the entire Deployment Officer team at one time! Questions about fitting, repairs, CRL standards/requirements or anything pertaining to reaching Levels 2 and 3 are not only welcomed, but encouraged. Keep in mind that no question is too small, and that your queries will only be seen by the D.O. Staff. We are here to help in any way we can, so please feel free to send us a message by clicking on this link: @Deployment Officer Team and we will get back to you A.S.A.P.! 9. HOWTO: Create a Neck Seal Original Poster: pandatrooper My armor has arrived, but of course there's all these other things you need to complete a TK - including a neckseal. Thought I'd post this up, might be a useful tip for those wanting to make their own neck seal, in a slightly different way than other neckseals I've seen. On mine, the ends do not overlap or close with a zipper. Although those methods are fine, I wanted the joined ends to be a butt join and stay flat, which helps maintain the round shape. I found some great material from a local fabric store, it's like 1/8" thick foam, soft and fuzzy on one side and shiny satin finish on the other. The store said it's normally used for liners in motorcycle helmets. It wasn't cheap, about $10 for what I needed but it turned out great. Started off with my templates, these are easy to make. Measure the height of your neck and the circumference. I added a little "dip" in the front for the throat / adams apple area. There will be 2 layers, an inside and an outside. The satin surface will face in towards my neck, and satin facing out to for the "ribs". Notice I added some cut angles at the ends of the fabric, so that the neck seal tapers towards the top. I flipped one panel over and sewed loop velcro on the ends on the "good" side. I didn't want an overlap closure in the back, i wanted a "butt seam", so both ends will have loop velcro, with a simple "hook velcro" patch joining the 2 ends inside. After sewing the velcro on the ends, I place both pieces face to face, and sew the top and sides. Sort of like an envelope with an open bottom. Here it is with the top and sides sewn, I just flipped it inside out Now I started sewing the ribs. I started at the top, so that the ribs remain even. If you start at the bottom, the top edge might come out crooked. Halfway there! Finished the ribs. Here's a simple patch I made with hook velcro and a spare piece of material. Again, this will join the ends inside the neackseal with a butt join, not overlap. Here's how it joins Let's test fit this, even though the "bib" portion isn't done yet. Fits awesome! The bib is simply 2 pieces of fabric, with semi circles cut out. It's important to note that the semi circles are not perfect circles, they should be ovalized so that the bib lies against your back and chest. If you make it a perfect circle, you'll end up with a flared fringe around your neck with wrinkles. If you want, you can also cheat and cut the top half of a t-shirt off, and sew that to the bottom of the neck ring for a bib. I chose to make my own bib. The circles are cut I hemmed the edges. I sewed the 2 halves together, and cut a slit in the back. This will line up with the butt seam at the back of the neck ring. Sew the bib onto the ring, and add some velcro on the ends of the bib to join the ends Back of the finished neck seal, showing the "butt seam" Front view. You can see the patch in the back, joining the ends. This neck seal is very easy to put on. You just put it on backwards so that the seam is in front, close the velcro, and spin it 180 degrees. Now the seam is at the back and the front is "seamless". Close up of the ribs. Test fit, it's good to go! Now I just have to build my armor Ha ha ha!

  10. Before the DO's start their review you may want to add a little black paint to those TD screws OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Clips shall be attached with slotted type, flat or dome top style screws, and be black (two per clip). Also with fabric gloves the hand plates must be stitched directly to gloves OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): If silk or satin gloves are worn, the hand plates have the correct visible stitching with a 5 point/star pattern, equally spread out with 2 on each side and 1 in the middle front, double stitched with 2 holes at each point and sewn to the glove at each one using black thread. Good luck with your application
  11. HOWTO: Heat Bend Your Belt Original Author: Pandatrooper This HOWTO describes how to get an even bend on your ammo belt or knee pack using a heat gun. Below is an image showing what a belt look like if you simply heat the flat sections. There will be a curve in each flat portion, and it will not sit as nicely if the bends were at the base. Required Tools Hot air gun Wooden paint stir sticks Step 1: Acquire Paint Sticks Get 2 paint stir sticks (un-used) from a paint store / Home depot, etc... They usually give them to you for free. Step 2: Align Paint Sticks Make sure you have the tapered ends together ensuring the angles taper towards each other. Step 3: Tape Paint Sticks Together Tape them together like below leaving a gap in between the exact thickness of your plastic belt armor. Just place one stick on top the the plastic, the other underneath, and tape them together. We'll now call this the "paint stick clamp" Step 4: Place Paint Stick Clamp on Belt Place the paint stick clamp in between 2 ammo blocks. You'll see that the width of the paint sticks are almost the exact size of the gaps! Obviously, armor will differ slightly, so test this to fit. On AP style, it fits great. Step 5: Heat Belt Heat up one edge / base of the ammo block and work the heat gun around the base. Do both sides GENTLY, you do not need a lot of heat. You only need to bend it a few degrees, any more and all the bends will add up to a tiny waist size. Do a little at a time. The added bonus is that if you hold the clamp right, you won't burn your fingers with the heat gun, and there's no need to wear gloves. Step 6: Bend Belt Now bend the belt, keeping the paint stick clamp pinched with your fingers. This keeps the flat section compressed, while you force the bend to happen on the base of the ammo block. Remember: do not heat up the plastic too much, and only bend a few degrees at a time. Do every base, then go back and make adjustments if necessary or bend more. It's better to have to go back and bend more, than bend too much, and have to redo the whole thing, and possibly warp the belt out of shape. Step 7: Nice Bend Presto! Nice bend, and the flat section stays flat. Now just work your way around to every edge of the belt, including the ends Step 8: Finished Belt Here is the finished bent belt, with perfect transitions all the way around! Fits perfect around the waist of the armor. NOTE: for thigh battery packs, simply use an Xacto and cut the paint stick to a thinner width, to fit in between the battery packs for the thigh. use the same process described above. Happy bending!
  12. First Order Stormtrooper Helmet: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER (2019) 388. First Order Stormtrooper Helmet Lot closed - Winning bid: $18,900 (1 bid) Estimate: $15,000 - $30,000 Propstore Link A First Order stormtrooper helmet from J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. First Order stormtroopers wore their helmets throughout the film, now under the command of Supreme Leader Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), given the fleet on the condition that he find and kill Rey (Daisy Ridley). The appearance of First Order stormtroopers in The Rise of Skywalker was heavily influenced by the design of the original trilogy's Imperial stormtroopers and differs slightly from the uniform seen in The Force Awakens, after aspects of the helmet were modified to produce a more threatening appearance. Changes include the shape of the nose ridge, a thinner mouth, and added 'teeth' detailing. The main body of the helmet is cast in polyurethane, a denser and more battle-appropriate material than the vacuum-formed ABS plastic used to make the original stormtrooper helmets, which were prone to cracking and breakages through use. Multiple vents run down both sides, and the left side of the helmet displays a fitted metal aerator. Clips feature on the dome of the helmet, and several parts of the piece are finished in black, including the acrylic bubble lenses fitted in the eye recesses, the brow line, the mesh grill on the mouth, and the prominent teeth detailing. The inside of the helmet displays several pieces of foam that have been adhered for comfort during wear. The clips are nonfunctional, and the helmet exhibits glue residue on the inside of the aerator. Dimensions: 12.25" x 12" x 11.5" (31 cm x 30 cm x 31 cm) Estimate: $15,000 - 30,000
  13. First Order Stormtrooper Helmet: THE FORCE AWAKENS (2015) 395. First Order Stormtrooper Helmet Estimate: $15,000 - $30,000 Starting: $7,500 Propstore Link A First Order Stormtrooper helmet from J. J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Stormtroopers, the soldiers of the First Order, wore white helmets reminiscent of those of their Galactic Empire predecessors. The highly anticipated seventh film in the Skywalker Saga and the first in the Sequel Trilogy, The Force Awakens remains the most expensive film ever made at $447 million, but grossed over $2.07 billion worldwide, breaking box office records and earning five Academy Award® nominations. This helmet is made primarily of cast polyurethane, a denser material selected to replace the fragile vacuum-formed ABS plastic used to make the original stormtrooper helmets. To create them, production utilized top-of-the-line manufacturing, including 3D designing and printing as well as injection molding. The helmet features vents running down both sides, a fitted metallic aerator on the left side, clips along the top, a black acrylic lens fitted in the eye recesses, black stripes along the brow and lower rear area of the helmet, and a black mesh grill in the mouth. The helmet exhibits some scuffing from use. Dimensions: 13.75" x 11.75" x 12.25" (35 cm x 30 cm x 31 cm) Estimate: $15,000 - 30,000
  14. Imperial Stormtrooper Helmet: RETURN OF THE JEDI (1983) 374. Imperial Stormtrooper Helmet Current absentee $75,000(1 bid) Estimate: $150,000 - $300,000 Starting: $75,000 Reserve not met Propstore Link An Imperial stormtrooper helmet from Richard Marquand's Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Imperial stormtroopers wore their standard-issue helmets throughout the film as they served the Galactic Empire, notably during the climactic Battle of Endor. Stormtroopers now rank among the most recognizable movie characters of all time. It is estimated that only around 50 helmets were produced for Return of the Jedi, with slight modifications and a somewhat more flattened appearance than the designs seen in the previous two films. This helmet was originally discovered in 1989 at a garage sale in Florida, and then brought back to the UK. Prior to the 1989 purchase, it had been painted twice, first in black and then in white. It has since been professionally restored, with the added paint layers carefully removed. The process of removing the outer layers resulted in minor scratching to the surface. Small traces of the previously added paint are still visible in certain crevices and on some areas of the main surface, as can be seen in the photos. The majority of elements on the helmet are original and unaltered. The main body of the helmet is constructed from vacuum-formed ABS plastic. The chin and mouth vent are finished in original black paint, as is the remaining paint on the ears. A black rubber trim runs along the brow and around the neck opening. Both the lenses and the various decals and painted detailing around the cheeks, temples, and back of the head are replacements, but the base helmet, all rubber trim, mic tips, interior liner, chinstrap are original. The helmet's interior features an elastic chinstrap and a plastic climbing helmet liner. "S. Burleigh" is handwritten in red ink inside the left cheek. The consignor tracked down Samuel Burleigh-an uncredited stormtrooper on the production-in 2020 and reunited him with the helmet; he subsequently autographed the interior in blue ink, along with the date "11-March 2020." Interestingly, Burleigh's sister Mercedes appeared in The Empire Strikes Back as a control room assistant on Hoth. The helmet exhibits wear from both production use and storage. The chinstrap has frayed and stretched due to age, and the rubber trim has cracked slightly. It also exhibits scuffs, scratches, and paint wear on the exterior of the helmet. Still, this is a great example of a film-used stormtrooper helmet with a fascinating history behind it. Estimate: $150,000 - 300,000 360 Degree link

File Name: Lego Blaster MKIV Designer: Penguin3D Last Update: 12/06/2025 File/Link: https://makerworld.com/en/models/1509561-star-wars-brick-blaster?from=search#profileId-1580326 Description: Want a cool life size stud shooter from the star wars games we all used to play? I saw this and was inspired to make the most realistic life-size version I could out of this design. This model is upscaled to fit in a normal teen/adult hand. I also messed with the infill settings and printed a few of each piece to make sure this model can blast the stud as far as I could get it. My cad skill are currently lacking, I have hopes to make this shoot even farther eventually almost like a nerf blaster. Images:
  16. Make sure you sand smooth off any rough areas will dig into your boots. Some great ways to keep shins from rotating
  17. Whenever cutting into corners I like to use a very small drill bit first, this lowers the chance of it cracking after cutting. Also should mention (in case you haven't) rough up both surfaces with coarse sandpaper before applying glue to coverstrips, helps give the glue something to grip to. Looking good
  18. @Daveybobs please reach out if you continue to have issues with your image links
  19. That is correct. Unfortunately your belt has come loose
  20. You need to add the links as "direct link" or with the file extension ie: .jpg, .png, gif. Unfortunately you will need to also remove your UKG decal from the shoulder bell, other UK TK's have purchased another shoulder bell to replace it or precured another decal after L2 and L3 approval. From a former Deployment officer post:
  21. You may notice many use abs paste/slurry to fill any showing gaps. 25. It's very hard to see. You can practice heating some scraps but in areas already formed it you heat too much you can make more of a mess. This is a great how to for bending belt and can use for the thigh ammo strip.
