Correct on occasions to get a nice fit I have had to slot the holes in the back plate to twist the ears slightly. Ideal positions for the ears are below but not always achievable depending on make of helmet and how the helmet has been assembled, also not a requirement for any level approval

I wore my chin strap for the fist 5 minutes of my first troop and never again, was the most uncomfortable thing I've worn

This is were a bigger conversation will have to be had, we saw all different 501st approved armor in the first Mandalorian series, FX/GF, AM, ATA, AP the list goes on, to date none have been included into a separate CRL, we know they are 501st members and although on screen these were considered "extras" if you look through many of the scenes in Mando and Obi it is rare you see "main character" placement, these are more in the background. Like I say this will no doubt lead to a discussion at some stage so we'll see what our DL @Sly11 thinks. Just to add we have seen many of the TK versions in these shows appear later down the track as a 6" or 3.75" figure, don't think they will make a black series figure for "extra" TK's, but then I could be wrong

Rogue One Heavy Weapons Trooper in Obi Wan

It's all about the references, not word of mouth, and references available to everyone -
Awesome welcome to the HWT ranks trooper

Adding a step to the top of the ear helps the back to sit in better. Also note the holes that are there are approximate, you can move or slot them if you need too, adding washers behind will keep the strength. It's all about fine tuning, if you sand/trim in one section it will affect other areas so do small amounts at one time and keep checking

Unfortunately your armor is Original Trilogy and not R1/Mandalorian so unless it's just for cosplay you won't be able to get 501st legion approval Here's the OT game version https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/54-incinerator-trooper/

Yes very easy to pick out from the back shots, detonator and shoulder straps an easy give away. I think we all may know who was there but can not talk about it due to NDA's

Just an observation not a requirement to modify, wait see what the DO's say The CRL wording says approximate so you should be right for the length. Again this is the same with the endcaps The total length is approximately 7.50" (190.5mm). End caps are approximately .78" (20mm)in width. For EIB, but again entirely up to the DO's Thermal detonator belt clips are positioned with little to no gap between the clips and the end caps And one more, the clips should not be rounded on the control panel side, but again not a requirement and once again entirely up to the DO's

ANOVOS (DENUO NOVO) FOTK Armor Delivery Possibility
gmrhodes13 replied to JonnieBear's topic in TFA Stormtrooper
Just an update, after a week with no reply I sent another email about this issue and finally got a response "Hi Glen, I apologize for the delay. I was waiting for a response from the product team. Because this is natural leather the creasing is to be expected. The scratch however shouldn't be there. I can send a return label for the one you were sent and issue a replacement once we get it back. Is this what you would like to do? Thanks and MTFBWY! Denuo Novo Customer Service" Not sure what "I can send a return label" hopefully that means they will be paying for the postage as I won't be. For anyone that has purchased a pauldron be prepared as there can/will be creasing in the leather so if you wanted a nice smooth finish as they show in the example image you won't be getting that. Once this has/if been resolved I will be plastering this issue online so other don't get caught. -

That is correct, I had a shoulder bell snap fail once and it would have stopped me from trooping if I didn't have the spare. It is a little more expense but well worth it. -
Hello and welcome, if just cosplaying you look great but if seeking 501st approval it looks like you have an original trilogy armor and not Rogue One/Mandalorian styled. You could try making the game version Incinerator Trooper, here is the CRL (costume reference library) https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_incinerator There are some big differences in the armor, you can compare Rogue One Crl https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_rogue_one

Nice work so far, ATA ears are a lot thicker than other makers ears so you can fine tune and trim more than others. Can't quite tell if you have a step at the top of your ears where it meets the backplate, you will find this will help with the gaps quite a lot as the top section will sit flatter

Nice work, looking good

Hello and welcome aboard, great to see you have done some research, here is a great thread full of info and snap setting Looking forward to seeing your build progress. -
Looking better, still needs some tweaks here and there but I'm sure once you around other 501st members they can point out a few things, have a great time at your convention

Hope this helps

1. What are general opinions of doing inner cover strips? I used to add them but really found they are only needed on pieces that take any strain, the shins as you are constantly opening and closing so I recommend adding them there on the inner front. 2. When people talk about adding some padding inside the armor pieces, are they talking about foam? Yes normal foam, I have them in my arms pieces and thighs, darn these skinny arm's and legs 3. If I end up getting the forearms glued, and the part by the wrist still isn't quite oval-shaped enough, is this something a hot water bath will help with or do I need to really make sure it's perfect before gluing it all? Personally I find it easier to use heat once all the cover strips are added. I use a heat gun BUT you need some practice, you can go too hot too quickly hence why many use a hot water bath.
