ANH Stunt "fitting/adjustment" thread (AP)
gmrhodes13 replied to BAZINGA's topic in ANH (Stunt and Hero)
If the belt is permanently attached and you don't want to tackle removing it from the fabric belt you could just cut the drop box elastic then move and glue in the correct position, or remove all of the elastic/strapping and add new then glue in the right position. And NOTE the reason they are tilting backwards is because the elastic/strapping needs to be glued towards the top of the drop box so all the weight from the strap is on the top corner of the drop box. -
It depends on what version Incinerator trooper you are building, old style ROTJ image from the CRL Trooperbay looks ok in the second link the black segments are a little straight next to the red As I mention previously the Rogue One style is different it has sewn lines in the red section

Gaps look much better, 2" is more accurate but many use the thinner elastic, it's not something which gets picked on at basic or in fact higher levels. See a little persistence and you are almost there -

Stormtrooper Armor Approvel
gmrhodes13 replied to stormtrooper_build's topic in Forum Help & Support
Re-approved, did you retire the costume? For costume approval you go through your local GML (garrison memberships liaison) for UKG that would be a team: GML: Wez Burns(DS 4859) [email protected]: mark farebrother(TI 5213) [email protected]: Martyn Fennell(TK 42413) [email protected] No doubt they also have an area on the UKG forum with membership information -
TLJ / TROS CRL Update Work Flow
gmrhodes13 replied to ukswrath's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Thanks for the clarification Andrew and I agree. So a little more research. Looking at quite a few images from TLJ and TROS we know there are variants of F-11D blasters BUT some of these would be carry overs from TFA, the production images from TLJ/TROS show all white D rings, there are other differences too like the cocking lever slot on right side (not left), no cocking lever, 2 holes in top of barrel, mid mount picatinny rail, top slot on endcap, rounded rear sight and different shape endcap clip. TLJ A good look at the cocking lever slot and extra top barrel holes (Interesting label "E11 Blaster") TROS Some TFA variant blasters from TROS, the talking FOTK's TFA variants in TLJ Also with the TROS standees the have the black D rings (TFA style), NOTE the angled rear sight, no cockling lever slot on right, picatinny mount further forward on barrel and no extra holes on top of barrel So what it appears to be is that the promo images as well as speaking/up close role FOTK's appear to be using TFA variants (with of course the additional picatinny rail) most others are using the common white D ring blasters Next I'll go through some more images checking the variants and when they are used. -
Hi-res references from updated in-game model
gmrhodes13 replied to crema's topic in Incinerator Trooper
Here's what the original CRL was based on and ROTJ armor was used, note the curved pauldron and the darker red The image you have provided would be Rogue One based armor not like the ROTJ base of the Incinerator CRL. We don't have a RO version Incinerator CRL as yet, someone needs to complete a build first and help write the CRL. Although there have been a few builds started so far nobody has submitted one for use in a new CRL. RO/Anthology Incinerator section is here https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/243-anthology-variant-incinerator-and-artillery-build-threads/ Color does change slightly depending on which reference is used Screen references here -
ANH Stunt "fitting/adjustment" thread (AP)
gmrhodes13 replied to BAZINGA's topic in ANH (Stunt and Hero)
In the image the elastic has dropped down slightly under the forearm, it should be the same position as on the bicep. The elastic goes under the top, off center, so it's towards the inside of the arm. Many don't get the elastic right and doesn't allow full comfortable movement. -

Reference of the strapping position, on top just off center, this keeps the spacing about the same when moving, it will change drastically if you have strapping on the inside or outsides of the arms. Reduce the gap at the wrists by bringing the forearm down a little more. Take a look through some of the Centurion threads, compare the spacing on their arms -

The foam was for filling the gap between you and the armor and yes my 2 pieces behind the ab are @10cm thick, holding the front and back away the belt should pull in on the sides like when you squash a round container so it's oval, which would intern keep those pieces better in alignment reducing the shadow. Or you could try a locking tab similar to the video below. Yes I know this armor doesn't have a large return but the principal is there of keeping the pieces aligned (depending of course if they have the same thickness return. Personally I think RS is leaves too much return on the abdomen, if you compare with early RS armor from the LFL archives BUT all this is really irrelevant as I've just looked through some of the most recent approved RS Centurion apps and it appears it's common to have this look/shadow/overlap so disregard unless the DO's comment -

Sling seen in The Force Awakens, predominantly used by Rey, but also seen with at least 2 Stormtroopers. Behind the scenes, nice look a the D ring clip Sling mounts can be seen on this F-11D Rifle which was on display at NYCC in 2017 (here) Another angle Other side. NOTE the light mounted to the picatinny rail, never seen in the movies, could have been a prototype

TLJ / TROS CRL Update Work Flow
gmrhodes13 replied to ukswrath's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Lets see if I can explain it a little clearer, the majority of TLJ and TROS used the same blasters, so no confusion there. The majority of both TLJ and TROS had white D rings (as can be seen in the picture below), which we can see from production and behind the scenes photos, also they had no cocking lever (the slot on right side) and also the 2 extra holes in the top of the barrel and rounded sight. BUT there are a couple of TFA style blasters that do come up in both TLJ and TROS, they have black D rings, cocking lever on the left side and no extra holes in the top of the barrel and angular sight ( a few other fined details too). These are the oddities in the movies and not the norm/generalized appearance we try for in CRL's, they were also used in the TROS standee images. So question would be do we keep the norm/general detailed blaster for CRL requirements or do we allow "variants" for higher level. To me it's like the "Mr No Stripes" we know it was there but we it's not allowed as a variant for that CRL. -

I found adding some thicker foam behind the abdomen and loosening the belt a little helped to stop the overlapping. Your application images don't have to be troop worthy, only detail worthy, you can make adjustments while wearing for each photo, like adjusting side gaps, rotating bells, tilt of helmet and so on -
Just out of interest I tried to find another helmet with 9 teeth to find the origin/maker and came up empty handed. You may have mixed up the make of the helmet (I see it says Denuo Novo in the specs) But appears it's an Anovos helmet, it's the same one from your first EI TLJ submission "Helmet Maker = Anovos Premium Fiberglass Helmet". You submitted 2 helmets in that application so could be why it had never been noticed before. It's interesting as I've not seen any helmets with 9 teeth prior to this one, may even have been a custom modification. Intriguing to be sure

TLJ / TROS CRL Update Work Flow
gmrhodes13 replied to ukswrath's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
I realize we have finished with this round of TLJ/TROS CRL updates but for now I will add any new info here so it's not lost. One item I hadn't added previously was the F-11D rear sight, it changes after TFA (although we do see the odd different blaster in TLJ and TROS and even on some promo images, majority have the rounded sight) TFA Angular sight TLJ Rounded sight TROS Rounded sight The Heavy F-11D didn't change and still used the TFA Angular sight (perhaps as not many were used between the movies) TROS Picatinny screws aren't mentioned in the CRL. Also position of picatinny rail on barrel is mid barrel We also didn't add the two holes in top of the barrel or no cocking lever but has a slot for one. Promo image was different to majority of F-11D's used in TLJ and TROS, has black D ring, picatinny rail further forward on barrel and angular rear sight, no cocking lever or slot, no extra holes in top of barrel TROS
