  1. I dropped mine right after the 501st pic at CVI and shattered the front sight. I rebuilt it with 2-part epoxy...but yes, it is tough, but don't drop it on a hard surface...
  2. Very nice!
  3. I lock everything in my armor tub, except my photo ID and the key to my tub. I carry those in a joggers "wrist wallet" under my body suit. Hard, but not impossible, to access. No distractions.
  4. There has GOT to be someone i n the German Garrison, or even AT Rammstein that could help him out with this, right? Give us all the details, and we could post an appearance request on the 501st and/or German Garrison Boards...
  5. Yeah, he does REALLY nice work. He says he plans to do them in White and Red in the next year...As for size, I have a medium large size head, and the fit is good but not tight. I find that those "channels" in the padding allow for air flow over the top of the head...
  6. It came with the Helmet. I bought it from ARAKYEL on the SpecOps Board. He sells the liner separately if you need. Here is the Thread : --------------
  7. It would be nice if someone started offering a good resin E-11 on this side of the pond...Hmmmm
  8. This build is SICK! I am inspired! I HAVE to track down some cheap/beat up armor and do this before Dragon-Con next year!
  9. I sell the fan kits if you are interested. See the link below.
  10. I could not be more proud to be a part of the 501st right now. This looks awesome, and i look forward to seeing more soon!
  11. Looks great Sean! You added some real nice touches. I hope to have another Doopys eventually, and I plan to go a LOT slower....
  12. What program did you use to size the plans up to 1:1? If you have them at 1:1, could you post a link, or a .zip file? Thanks!
  13. Outstanding build so far!
  14. WOW! can you post a link to the plans, or a zip? I have been looking everywhere for this!
  15. Any chance you could post the DLT-19 sketch?
  16. I am so there!
  17. My cousin is a corporate CPA. I have an email out to him, I'll let you know when I know...
  18. NICE. I wish i could find an old lathe like that...
  19. What he said.
  20. After the "metal" paint has dried fully (that is important) take some basic white toothpaste (the cheapest you can find will do) and smear daubs of it across the areas you want the "metal" paint to show through, ie: edges and other high wear areas. Then paint the final coats as you usually would and once those are fully dried (again, important) you just take a soft, damp, cloth and wipe away the toothpaste, revealing the paint below. keep wiping with a damp cloth until all the toothpaste is gone. I would then dry brush some black or gunmetal grey paint across the metal paint to give it the worn look, and then you can apply a sealing coat of clear lacquer, either matt or gloss, depending on your preference. I hope this helps!
  21. Ok, I thought something was fishy when I saw that. at least it's not just me...
  22. That is horrific, in all the wrong ways...
