  1. In addition to the metal cutting disks, the metal grinding disks also help IMMENSELY. I would also say, at the LOW price and with the lessons you have learned, you could buy another leg from Ikea and start again. All that aside, I would say you are doing an absolutely amazing job and I am very impressed with your ingenuity. I am running out to Ikea this afternoon and picking up a couple of those legs for my DVH!
  2. I will actually have side by side photos of my NE with an RS by next week!
  3. Do NOT use cotton cloves. Your hands will be full prune inside ten minutes. Trust me, I did it. Not fun.
  4. I have NEVER heard that, or experienced that with E6000. that happens with the ABS cement that sometimes comes with the kits...
  5. I am SO on board with this. I am not an electronics geek but anything I can do, with mechanical functioning and fabrication, I would love to lend a hand...
  6. I am hand painting mine. I may try making some vinyl decals later...
  7. No. NE is very accurate and as such will get comparisons, but it is larger in overall scale and could not have been recast. If it was recast then why did the go with the three piece helmet again? The length and size of the legs and arms, chest and back make it clear. I have observed them side by side and it is in no way a recast.
  8. Didn't you hear? AA is already hard at work designing, sculpting and vacuum forming everything. He has it covered!
  9. Enjoy your well deserved cruise vacation and Godspeed Brother! I just hope you do not get a Carnival S#!t Cruise!
  10. No worries Brother. We all handle stress differently, but we are ALL on your side!
  11. Go with NE Vern You will not regret it. Also, try a Scout?
  12. When it is up on ebay, turn and run the other way. Find a reputable seller here, you will be MUCH happier!
  13. I am making them now. I have not set up the sales thread because I wanted to have a bunch ready to go before I do. PM me for more info.
  14. Is it blowing onto the mic? I would move one of those fans, the one on the right in the picture, back a little so it is not pointed directly at the mic... Have it blowing across your cheek on to the lens, to prevent fogging. Try other arrangements as well. I had to move mine a few times before I found the spot that worked best for me...
  15. Where do you have the fans placed in your bucket? The placement of the fans can affect the noise level. Try moving them around to maximize the air on your lenses while avoiding your ears...
  16. Actually, the "similarities" come from being accurate based on screen used armor. Once you see the NE in person, any remaining suspicion will clear up pretty quickly. The scale of the NE vs RS is night and day. RS screen accurate in form and in size, while the NE is scaled up significantly. I am 6'0" 135lbs, and I would barely fit in to the RS if I was lucky. The NE is huge and will fit larger guys like me (and bigger!) or can be trimmed down for smaller troopers. One of my garrison mates is supposed to get his set of RS later this month, and we will take side-by-side pictures.
  17. here is my build thread: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/23305-evilboys-ne-armor-build-thread/
