  1. NICE! I just bought a chopped up Sterling and I am gonna (probably) go the pipe rout to rebuild it...
  2. I received this response! Dear Jonathan, Thank you very much for your interest in our articles and sincerely thanks for your suggestion. We take good note of it and will study the possibilities to develop this item in the future. Best regards, Jaime Llull DENIX, S.A. www.denix.es
  3. I have shot the Sterling full auto once, in NC, and it struck me as a solid and reliable weapon. But put my feet to the fire and I'll take the Kriss Super V any day of the week over ANY subgun out there!
  4. He offers returns within 7 days, you may want to pull that trigger before he "ships"...
  5. Too good to be true usually is. ESPECIALLY with Armor... Wait, isn't "Trekfreek" that wanted Pedopohile guy?
  6. What kind of snaps are the best?
  7. I will be printing those up and taking them to the range!
  8. This may be the single greatest Sterling to E-11 Conversion ever. I am utterly in awe of your skill and patience. Thank you for sharing this with us...
  9. And a spot of black paint or fabric over the blue padding and you are golden!
  10. They may well be the same plastic. You should remember that once the plastic has been vaccu-formed it has been stretched out and that can alter the shade and coloring very slightly, but enough to be noticeable side by side. I have been experimenting with vaccu-forming lately and have observed this first hand. Do what I did with my (black) AM armor. trim the excess carefully and use that...
  11. Unfortunately, there are no "prop shops" per se in the Washington D.C. area that I could locate...
  12. I have watched tons of vids, and I think I have the concepts...but I learn best by doing. The problem here is if i dive in then trial and error can get expensive. I would think that a short "apprenticeship" would work better for me...I am ready to make an investment in this, but I don't (and Can't) burn money on the learning curve...
  13. Hello all! I am at a crossroads in my life, and I am thinking about changing my career/path in life. I have received praise on the Mandalorian Mercs boards and elsewhere for some of my custom work, and since I am out of work and with no decent prospects, I am considering getting in to the prop making biz. I know i will not get rich, but I could get back to contributing to my family's bills...I like to think I know my skills, abilities, and (many) weaknesses. I learn best by doing, and what I need to learn is mold making as I have ideas for some Star Wars/custom helmets, weapons and props but no hands on experience/knowledge with making molds or using silicone rubber etc. If anyone on here that is close to the Eastern U.S. (I live in Northern Virginia) does this or can recommend someone that does, I would be very grateful for the opportunity to shadow them for a day or two just to get the hands on time I need to do it myself. Thank you all! Jonathan "Evilboy" Wolk
  14. I will be submitting my pics for approval by the end of the coming week, so I will OFFICIALLY be there, with my wife and 5-year-old son. I plan on dressing in my Mando on Friday and my TX on Saturday...
