  1. Too good to be true usually is. ESPECIALLY with Armor... Wait, isn't "Trekfreek" that wanted Pedopohile guy?
  2. What kind of snaps are the best?
  3. I will be printing those up and taking them to the range!
  4. This may be the single greatest Sterling to E-11 Conversion ever. I am utterly in awe of your skill and patience. Thank you for sharing this with us...
  5. And a spot of black paint or fabric over the blue padding and you are golden!
  6. They may well be the same plastic. You should remember that once the plastic has been vaccu-formed it has been stretched out and that can alter the shade and coloring very slightly, but enough to be noticeable side by side. I have been experimenting with vaccu-forming lately and have observed this first hand. Do what I did with my (black) AM armor. trim the excess carefully and use that...
  7. Unfortunately, there are no "prop shops" per se in the Washington D.C. area that I could locate...
  8. I have watched tons of vids, and I think I have the concepts...but I learn best by doing. The problem here is if i dive in then trial and error can get expensive. I would think that a short "apprenticeship" would work better for me...I am ready to make an investment in this, but I don't (and Can't) burn money on the learning curve...
  9. Hello all! I am at a crossroads in my life, and I am thinking about changing my career/path in life. I have received praise on the Mandalorian Mercs boards and elsewhere for some of my custom work, and since I am out of work and with no decent prospects, I am considering getting in to the prop making biz. I know i will not get rich, but I could get back to contributing to my family's bills...I like to think I know my skills, abilities, and (many) weaknesses. I learn best by doing, and what I need to learn is mold making as I have ideas for some Star Wars/custom helmets, weapons and props but no hands on experience/knowledge with making molds or using silicone rubber etc. If anyone on here that is close to the Eastern U.S. (I live in Northern Virginia) does this or can recommend someone that does, I would be very grateful for the opportunity to shadow them for a day or two just to get the hands on time I need to do it myself. Thank you all! Jonathan "Evilboy" Wolk

  16. In the US Matt is also correct...
  17. I had a girlfriend in the mid 90's that would say I was the last of the nice guys...so any time I did something "Bad" she would say, "Oh, you Evilboy". Friends heard that and started calling me that...and the rest is history...
  18. I am 6'0", 230lbs (I need to loose 30 lbs!) and the AM Armor fits me with no shimming. I have seen the Jedi-Robe blaster up close a couple times and it is ugggggg-lee! I also dodged a bullet by coming to the FISD Forums before I ordered, and have never looked back!
  19. I like these. Easy straight cuts!
  20. Maybe you should go to a *gasp* AM helmet, to fit your size...?
  21. Now you just need to get http://www.castfromoriginal.com/ working, and you are all set!
