  1. Yup, I was just saying it in the spirit of uber-accuracy but they are a great find. Just make sure that the ankle part is high enough to tuck into the shins which it looks like it is.
  2. Yup I have actually. The thing is that there's no CRL for it. So right now this is a pet project that I'm in no rush to complete. I suspect to do this character right will take about $1000+ ...
  3. The "U" is a little low but if Mathias says it's good then I guess it is.
  4. It's a Sith Acolyte from Star Wars: The Old Republic. Entrance at around 1:28 All I have now is mask and robe. Lots of work to be done but it sure is fun running around pretending to force choke people.
  5. Hey all I just got my Mynock Sith Acolyte Mask (#002). Just wanted to fool around in it. Still waiting on Mynock to actually make some armour *ahem* because his work is exceptional. Obviously need to alter the robes etc. But that's going to take some time. Really liking the character and I hope to make some progress over the next year or so.
  6. You could... but that would be the way more expensive option. But I do understand why you don't want to shim.
  7. LOL nice to see you guys on FISD. As you can tell Andrea, Charles, and I pretty much live here.
  8. LOL awesome job Ken! Saw the pics on Facebook very cool.
  9. Hmm, I'm not sure where all these front nozzles are coming from these days. This is the second application in two days with the same issue. Anyhow - great build imho just those small fixes and presto!
  10. No, it's just a waste of time when you can be building towards EIB or Centurion instead.
  11. Could be your volume or your position of Aker in chest is too high. Just a thought. We'll check it out in two weeks.
  12. Hey Nicky, as for amp - put it in your chest and you can tuck the wire under your armpit from behind and into your chest.
  13. If this hypothetically happens, then AM armour would also have to be excluded. Given the big fuss over grandfathering the FX lid. I can't see what you want happening very soon. (Mind you, I don't disagree with you. But it is what it is today.)
  14. I don't think of it as a donation more like a small thank you token of appreciation for creating this great community.
  15. Any other lessons from your first troop?
  16. You're getting there brother! Soon enough! Keep going!
  17. In short, use some shims.
  18. Once most 501st members achieve a level of approvable detail of their costume, most of the time after is spent making the costume more "troopable" - fans, mics, etc. Afterall the point of the 501st is to troop and not just a costume for Halloween.
  19. 1. Can't really see but the blaster's "face" appears incorrect - 2 screws are vertical in your picture? 2. There doesn't appear to be a D-Ring? 3. Cocking handle is wrong.
  20. There are certificates?
  21. Half volume for sure and the unicirectional takes getting used to but works for me. Unidirectional helps a lot when you have fans going as well.
  22. Since my sniper plate is pretty much exactly off-centered like the one in the gallery does that make me even more screen accurate? j/k!
  23. LOL you mean Canada Eric? Well T4BP's original goal was to get its five founding members all approved and all to EiB. That was the purpose of forming the group. With even more new recruits in place, the "standard" is now EiB, I think it's somewhat an expectation that someday all of T4BP will be Centurions. I think a lot of it is the comraderie of the group, and working together while we build armour and learn together. Spreading the word and showing new recruits how to get there. We also have a lot to live up to within the Canadian Garrison. The expectation was set there as well from the begining that we'll all represent the best TK's possible for the CG.
