  1. Almost there Charles! Hoping to post pictures tomorrow when my friend is over to help take them.
  2. No problem Neil, we're the peanut gallery helping you be the best trooper you can be. Thanks for taking the constructive advice positively!
  3. The last piece of the puzzle is here!
  4. Easier to share photos.
  5. Ditto on the shoulder bell, in the pictures you can see that you still have at least an 1" where you can pull the bells up. That should be an easy fix. (The gap between the bell and biceps demonstrate this).
  6. What Vern said - the longer legs (gap between thigh and greaves) in RT would be a better look for someone your height imho.
  7. Definitely go with the more accurate method. After spending a few weeks on here you'll catch the bug too! Might as well do it right from the start. A few more hours up front will save you days of effort after the fact.
  8. Looking good trooper, for application you might want to consider a balacalva for those lushious locks of yours.
  9. Even plastics within each vendor can be different shades. To get a replacement sniper plate from AP, I had to send a strip of my current ABS to Mark to get a good match. It's not entirely as simple as asking for new bells from the same vendor. Takes a little of going back and forth.
  10. I still like ID better cause they are a little more recognizable! Pfft! But yeah you are right on the IC.
  11. ID comes to mind. Priced it out for wife. Well done probably about $500.
  12. Holy crap Carles, that's a lot of clamps. I'm jealous.
  13. Hey Javier nice build and congrats. You might want to see about reducing the butt flare you have right now. Thats all I have to add
  14. Charles has one. It's lightweight, breathable and has a zipper. Andrew are you on the Tantive IV Boarding Party Facebook page?
  15. I take that as "good enough". Lining up the front would have resulted in a disaster. I totally understand why Ingrid's first attempt was a little off on the side ridge. It's impossible to get it right. So I opted for "good enough" at all angles versus perfect in one and terrible in others.
  16. LOL I know I'm just pulling your leg. But it's good that it came out better than expected frankly. What a disaster to get it even to that position.
  17. LOL I take it as a "it will pass Centurion" comment, so that's good.
  18. White duct tape is your friend! You can use it to hold stuff in place from the inside with a lot of tension from the tape as things dry.
  19. Okay guys here it is. I've tried to optimize the positioning of the sniper plate. It's not perfect but it's not bad either. Any changes in one spot will drastically change it in one of the other two spots. So I've tried to make all three spots as close as possible to where it should be. ... so basically this is all y'all getting from me! I'm done with the plate. Haha... I feel Ingrid's pain now.
  20. Yeah man, I was thinking the same thing. I'm trying to organize a gaming night but I was also thinking we should do a small armour party. It's gluing real well right now. I don't want to touch it for at least 24 hours. Let it get real solid.
  21. Hey guys the deed is done. I took some of Ingrid's shimming idea and I filled the areas where there would be no surface area to contact with velcro and glued the sniper plate on at three points. Each side and the center --- glued the crap out of it (yeah the greave is messy but I will clean up after. E6000 is great for that.) Kapow. It's looking good I have to say. Going to give it 24 hours to cure but right now even after just 15 mins, it feels very strong. The sniper plate from AP could use a resculpt though. As there's no way to get it perfect. I went with getting it flushed on the sides for "the look" it's a little wonky in the front but that's just AP for you. Spent way too much time on this... this is as good as it's going to get I think.
  22. Everyone is going to try and do what is suggested unless told otherwise. Look forward to the others to chime in.
  23. Oh right! That was a failure. The snaps combined were "just" a little too thick. Like 1/8" ... gah. Back to shimming.
  24. So I think I have a solution. I'm making a snap plate for the graves and the sniper plate right in the middle where I would have had to "shim" anyways to create a strong initial point of contact. Then glue in the sides. Let's see how this works.
  25. And yes, my TK is getting a little banged up. I call it ... "weathering". Yeah and I'm sticking with that.
