  1. Easily EIB imho and Centurion not far behind.
  2. Male snaps the first step to Centurion.
  3. Argh must be the postage to AUS. To Canada was only $20. Which combined $50 is still less than a single U/A top.
  4. I had the same butt plate issue. What worked for me was moving the snaps closer together from the butt plate to the cod piece and shorten the strap for more tension. Then it sounds like you have too much slack as well between the kidney plate and the butt plate. Same thing, bring the snaps closer together and shorten the straps. Lose the velcro and use strap/snap instead. For me, I had 4 elastic straps and it worked well. (Pictures also help of your strapping system.) That should work for you.
  5. Yes. It is possible. But I promise you will not want to stop there after starting. Haha.
  6. Totally agree Karin - btw can you PM me the total cost of white rubber ANH standard handguards and your paypal account? Thanks!
  7. Trooperbay has stencils for tube stripes FYI
  8. LOL I know that one would usually consider going Centurion and cheap mutually exclusive terms.
  9. Unfortunately, it's the same financial formula in terms of time. .... I WILL do it one day. Just not right now.
  10. Selfishly, I'm looking at this from a pure financial and time standpoint. I'm actually a pretty good painter (hand painted all the weathering on my E-11 and been doing modeling for two decades now) but from my perspective the cost of the Humbrol set $12 and the time it would take for me to do it per hour would cost way more than the Dave M decals. So what I was thinking is get the decals, get approved and then if I find time between troops take my time to paint my lid the way I want - which those that know me, I'm pretty anal-retentive on detail. I'm pretty much boned for time (kids, work, etc) between now and Oct. would hate to delay Centurion because of that.
  11. The clackin' is the best part of the armour. A sound that's stuck with me after watching the first trilogy since I was 6 years old. ... ah nostalgia.
  12. Hello just want to confirm that the CRL requesting decals that emulate painted details are indeed the "Dave M" decals from Trooperbay. How long will this hold up for? Meaning I probably won't get to Centurion till November/December this year - any chance the CRL will change from now till then. Those decals are a little expensive.
  13. Hey Richard, use the "img" tag in photobucket. Works better.
  14. Got there! EIB. Project Centurion on the go!

  15. It's sort of good news? Doopys does way too much business with the 501st and RL to screw things up.
  16. Bumpy cap - top right picture. http://www.starwarshelmets.com/imperialfanAnon.htm
  17. On a side note, I'm going to throw this out there as a big positive for AP. To help me get Centurion and not have to fill and make my knee look ugly. Mark Harrison from AP is sending me a spare knee sniper plate he happens to have lying around for only postage. Another awesome reason to buy from AP. As far as the Centurion rivet or not issue - I leave that to the experts. And very curious how it turns out.
  18. Yeah I hear you about that. I missed it once and luckily the vendor was good enough to work it out with me in spite of the fact he had nothing to lose. On another note, reporting a problem could get their attention?
  19. Thanks Mark, I'll have to get more pointers from you when we meet up in Indy!
  20. Stupid question - to fill the hole on the outside of the sniper plate you recommend ABS paste?
  21. So you're saying that if I punch out the round bit it should loosen it but don't cut it at any time?
  22. Alternatively is it permissable to fill it in with ABS paste and paint over it?
  23. I know its a tough spot but I can say from most experiences the doopy kits take a long time. 7 weeks is a bit long though. I think mine took 8 weeks. The one drawback with them is that they are notorious for not being responsive.
