1. Well there certainly appears to be a mixed bag. The only dealing I had with them so far is I bought their Tie helmet. I had no issue whatsoever and I am happy with the product and the shipping (shipping is expensive). Now that is just one little thing. I have heard a bunch of horror stories with them. If my buddy Allan sees this thread I'm sure he would love to give his input. But anyway it appears that if you need to contact customer support for any issue then you are not going to like them. I have heard of them sending products that are defective as well as sending the wrong product as well. Probably the biggest complaint is their shipping estimates which are usually way off from what they say they are. However, it is not uncommon to wait a year even for a prop maker using his garage. Lord knows I feel I could be waiting a very very long time for my tie armor to arrive that I ordered back in December from a single man operation with little to no contact with so far. So I guess it is buyer beware with Anovos but some people have been happy and others have been disappointed.
2. Hi Peter and congrats on your armor purchase! Receiving your armor is such an exciting time. You will be happy with your ATA armor. Make sure you star a build thread so you can get some assistance throughout your build process. Have fun and good luck with your build!
3. Awesome job everyone! I can't wait to see the march to 1,000! See you all in Orlando!
4. Yeah that's awesome to hear! Glad to hear you had positive experience. You always hear of the horror stories when people finally meet a celebrity they have always dreamed of meeting and it's a miserable experience. The force is strong with that one!

Btw I'm going to move this to general discussion.
5. Mark you can do what Shawn said and PM Rocky on facebook as well. He will get back to you quickly when you reach out to him. Also Walt is on the forums here. His forum name is walt. You can do a search for him using the PM function on the top.
6. Hi Michelle and welcome to FISD! If you do a search on SDS you will find a lot of info on the forum. The short answer is stay clear of him. He has made many false claims and twists it into what he knows people want to hear. I would recommend you read through this post thoroughly as well as many of the other getting started threads. Have fun! Here is a good link: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/29241-is-originalstormtroopercom-good-quality-for-its-price/
7. From what I understand, people who like to do swag trading (most people) usually carry their stuff around all of the time unless they are in costume. So there should be plenty of opportunities. I for one will be carrying a back pack with stuff in it when I'm not in my armor!
8. Congrats Scott and welcome to EIB! Hope to see your Centurion submission soon!
9. Richard do you have Facebook? Check out the Shed of Glittering Delights. Better then both of these options and they are in the UK. I would say it's reasonably affordable too. With that kit it is reasonably screen accurate for a display and if built correctly it can go all the way to Centurion. I also believe Andy sells them fully built as well.
10. It may be high by like a millimeter or two. Honestly I would just leave it. I would say its rather to have it more up high then down too far. Looks good to me!
11. Hi Scott. Very nice job on your build. There are a few things that have popped out at me that could probably use some attention. First is the thermal detonator clips need to be pushed out more to the ends by the bottle caps. There should be very little to no gap in between. Also, I'm sure they are there but it is hard to tell from the photos if there are power cylinders on your E-11. I'm sure they are there but I just can't tell from the photo. And lastly, this probably won't effect your EIB submission but your snap on the right side of the ab plate appears to be pushed towards the center. The snap is supposed to be placed at the upper most corner on the right side. Again I don't know if that will effect your EIB submission or even a Centurion submission but it was just something that caught my eye. But overall you did a very nice job. Good luck with your submission!
12. Cool thread. Here goes: I HAVE: ANH Stormtrooper ESB Stormtrooper ANH Bridge Crew Tie Reserve Pilot ANH Tie Pilot WORKING ON: Nothing No Money PLANNING ON: Using Allan's awesome away to switch between an ANH Tie Pilot to ROTJ Pilot I would like to build something else but I don't know what that is yet. Once I have funds I would like to get a set of Darth Stone's ROTJ Helmet and Armor for display.
13. Here are a couple of more useful ones: Sorry Edited. One was already posted.
14. Looking sharp Kenzo! Congrats on your approval. Have fun trooping!
15. Hi Joe and welcome to FISD! I noticed you put Empire City Garrison as your unit. Where are you located? Sadly as Brian has said your Don Post will not make the cut. But please check out the getting started threads and you will find a ton of information there. Please feel free to reach out to me at any time. Our Empire City Commanding Officer is Anthony "Redforce" and my buddy Allan "allan1313" and I are also on staff at ECG. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. We would like to get you started in the right direction. Please head over to 501ecg.com/ and say hello to everyone.
16. You have gotten awesome info at this point. Most of those questions you have posed can always be added or taken away at a later time. The only real "build" questions are the kidney notches and rank bar which Joseph gave you the answer to. After you build your armor and start trooping you will find what out what you like and don't like. My first troop I went with a chin strap. After that I felt it was pointless and took it out and haven't looked back. I just have padding on top and that is all thats in mine besides electronics. After you originally build your armor you will find that improvements are always happening afterwards. It is the never ending build really. But that is what's fun about this.
17. Hi Steve. I just checked out that website. From what I can see, the armor they offer is the older FX armor. They even show a picture of the FX helmet as well as a MR helmet. I would urge you to stay away from that site. If nothing else I would show this to UKG members to see if it would be accepted by them. I think troopermaster would be the way to go.
18. These things are really great. I used some of them when I built my armor. The most helpful one for me was for the split rivets in the abdomin and kidney. Nice job Chris!
19. See there is always someone who is smart and figures things out for the rest of us! Very smart.
20. You made a great choice. I have a TM helmet and I love it. I'm not familiar with Atlantic Composits. Do they have a website?
21. Congrats Cameron! You look great! You will have a blast at your first troops. There is nothing like it. I look forward to you EIB submission soon!
22. Well it's fine I suppose but 3 pieces can be a pain. You are in the U.K. Where you can get some of the best stuff around. Check out troopermaster, RS props or on Facebook check out the shed of glittering delights. I would go with them over this helmet. Where did you find this from?
23. I will certainly be there for the group photo and the meet and great. But I won't be able to make the storm the beach event. I look forward to finally getting to meet a lot of you
24. Steve - My pal Allan has given you great advice. The BS helmet is really for a Rogue One trooper. And like he said you should look at that getting started thread and get a helmet that is for ANH. Take plenty of time to research. Buying armor is pretty much the most important thing you will do in this hobby. You want to make sure you are well educated before you pull the trigger.
25. Hi JC. I'm with Chris on this one. Anovos is a great set and I think that it is minimal effort to make it go EIB. You said you already removed the return edge on the bottom of the forearm. See you already started on your way to EIB and you haven't even broken a sweat! Anyway, as far as return edges go, it is good to leave some because it adds a level of illusion that your armor is thick. But of course it is always best to build your armor to make it feel the most comfortable. But Chris has given you some good measurements so far.
