  1. I wouldn't trim anymore on the cap trim or the sides. Once you screw in the ears, it'll close those the gap made by the cap and face
  2. Glad you guys will finally be getting your kits and as of midnight, it'll be January so hopefully only a few more days away from BBB day! I can see them wanting to hold onto extra kits for returns. For those who haven't ordered and wondering if they will offer it again, I'm positive they will and also increase price. If you didn't get the reduced pricing though, I don't see why anyone would really want to pay more when there are already so many vetted high quality kits to choose from.
  3. Well remember, the empire was in transition armor wise between Episode 3 and Episode 4 when this movie is suppose to take place. Maybe those stormtroopers are alpha phases of the armor
  4. Glad you got it a part. Even though you have much more work to do, you'll be happy that you did. You might end up having enough material from your cuts to make those into cover strips in itself. I would contact Rob anyways as it NEVER hurts to have extra ABS sheets. Also, keep all your shavings and scraps for potential ABS paste
  5. You're kind of in a good place. RT-Mod is meant for bigger troopers and it's much easier to take away than to add to. It appears that the armor was put together using the overlap method. You're going to want to take that a part and use the butt method with cover strips. Plenty of tutorials and build threads here to explain that. As far as the torso section, I recommend you taking some material off equally from the kidney. Those hand guards are enormous. Look in the for sale section and get you some latex hand guards to use on the chemical gloves, save the plastic ones for a backup set of nylon gloves.
  6. I wish I could fit in ATA armor. Beautiful armor! Finish those shins and submit!
  7. I bought this from Jo-Ann's fabric store ------------ I had to CA glue industrial velcro to the pieces I used because the sticky backing doesn't adhere very well to the foam.
  8. I'm on the other side of NY than you, I'm in Albany. You will have to see for yourself how comfortable you are all suited up and bucket on. I sweat pretty easily all suited up mostly because of the compression gear. I have two Evilboy fans in my helmet now and plan on adding Echo's here soon. The downsize to being cool in your bucket is it makes it near impossible to hear anything. Hearing already is rather limited. But luckily we have some smart people on this forum that offer environmental sound systems so you can actually hear people standing in front of you.
  9. You just need to be an on set consultant and get them where they need to be. I know this movie is suppose to take place right before ANH, but I don't think the transition from Clone Troopers to OT troopers needs to be this sloppy. They look like they have a mix of FX/AM2.0 armor that was not even bothered to tailor to the wearer.
  10. No problems. They are just sitting in my BBB collecting dust anyways. I have a few sets of ears that didn't work out for me early in my build that I'll throw in.
  11. If you can get me this: https://www.ebgames.ca/SearchResult/QuickSearch?q=Pop%21+Star+Wars%3A+Nien+Nunb It's a EB games exclusive and hasn't released in the US yet (Gamestop), I will thankfully send you some MTK shoulder bridges, thermal det. parts (minus brakcets), and ab buttons.
  12. I bet Germain loves that forearm to bicep gap
  13. If you go as planned, you'll have to hike up your whole kidney and ab section as well which will cause the cod to be higher than needed. I ended up using nylon and snaps to connect the back to kidney. You'll need to experiment with your shoulder elastic length. It's much better to have the chest lower to eliminate back gap on the sides. I put snaps on my chest and elastic on the inside of the ab plate so I can adjust as needed. Pictures help a lot.
  14. A little thinner worked for me, definitely stay away from acetone. Mineral spirits is another option that's even safer than thinner.
  15. I had to lookup what Boxing Day is and was disappointed. I thought everyone went out on the street and bare-knuckled brawled each other. Well, glad you're getting your Hero parts sorted out.
  16. If your ANOVOS kit doesn't come with boots, you should get yourself on the waiting list for TKboots now. I forget if those boots will get you basic approval or not since they have the seam on the front.
  17. I waited a month to get some special sandtrooper hand guards to make their way from Austria to NY and it was well worth the wait. Highly recommended and I'll be getting another set soon for some non-chemical gloves
  18. That's a sweet looking blaster! Glad you are figuring out the modifications rather quickly. I'm sure I'll have my share once I start trooping.
  19. If you don't want ANOVOS, go to RPF and look around.
  20. Did you get a hold of the video to post?
  21. It would be better if you said this and locked eye contact, but then again they can't see your eyes so kind of loses some of the magic.
  22. I guess some people are more endowed than others that makes this possible lol
  23. Way to improvise and adapt!
  24. I'm sticking with just getting those higher levels for my sandy for now and once the wife cools down I'll sweet talk her into letting me get a Tie Reserve so I can volunteer as a handler when needed and eventually, I really want to do a FO Tie pilot!
  25. One thing that kind of stands out is your left outer portion of the cover strip on your shin. There's a significant gap that you can either bead some E6000 and use painters tape and magnets to get more flush with the surface area or you can do what I've seen a few troops do and use caulking glue.
