  1. A black leather belt with this stamped all the way around would look very nice! I'd wear it to work everyday
  2. Now you have to write an essay and have your event's local sheriff issue you a permit
  3. Gap the front a little while still using the 5/8 front coverstrip. You won't see the gap from the outside because of the cover strip, go back and use scrap ABS to strengthen the inner portion. Go with a larger coverstrip on the rear of the bicep if necessary. I really don't think I have "guns" but I had to do this with my MTK.
  4. I didn't know what a stunt or a hero was, I just knew I wanted to be one of those roughneck guys looking for droids in the dunes. It took me several years of begging and pleading, then almost a whole year to finish my armor. So glad I am finally a REAL sandtrooper. One day when the odds are in my favor, I will build a squeaky clean TK! That new AP kit looks very nice!
  5. Now start cutting plastic and gluing pieces together! You need the shavings and scrap for the ABS paste.
  6. On second thought..... I didn't realize that the notch wasn't cut out prior to shipping. If you don't want to risk using a hobby iron to flatten out the mod lines, you could always use bondo or some kind of filler to smooth it out. You'll have to go back and paint over it but it'd work.
  7. I grew up NW of Atlanta so I'm familiar with Little Five Points. That place can be scary during the day, let a lone when all the freaks come out at night.
  8. Hand painting isn't that tough or correct a few times because you have shaky hands...
  9. That looks cool!
  10. I was waiting for Germain to chime in lol. I think you escaped a replacement part just barely!
  11. You could always cut a piece of ABS to fit that whatever x 22mm and secure it with abs paste and a backer on the backside.
  12. I'm confused, what are you trying to do with an iron again? Also, more building, less chitter chatter! Getting as bad as the Hard Armor ANOVOS thread
  13. Ridiculously easy. Worse case, pop the piece int he freezer for 5 minutes and you won't have any problems removing E6000 glued pieces. Even when you glue it down, you can fiddle with it a bit before clamping it in place for the next 12-24 hours.
  14. The only buttons we have are 3 vertical buttons placed on the rectangle with the notch on the bottom. The center plate and belly button are fully exposed in all its glory.
  15. You want a little gap on the lenses to eye sockets. Not enough that's noticeable but enough where air can escape so your lenses don't fog.
  16. The kidney notch should be 22 x 22mm. The AP kit gives you a lot of meat to work with. It's probably more like 66mm x 22mm. He gives you the extra room if you really need it. Most beer belly folks like myself will significantly benefit from the extended ab sides alone. If you really need both at full length, a little scrap abs, ABS paste, and ingenuity can still make this Centurion level.
  17. Remember when you get to that point to put your undersuit on as it is a bit slicker than bare skin and also sucks in some of fattier/thicker areas lol.
  18. A little mineral spirit on a q-tip would be a better choice than sanding or scraping. Just use a tiny bit so you don't get run off.
  19. Awesome, I'll have to listen to it this afternoon. Nicky is my garrison's event coordinator. She's a busy lady!
  20. What kit was it? Does he offer the kit and assembly in that price or is this on top of the initial armor kit price?
