  1. Congratulations! Welcome to the 501st!
  2. Looking good! You still have some more room on the eyes to take off past your pencil markings.
  3. Looking good! See you in the dunes!
  4. That sounds fine. You'll just be removing a little extra flashing on the torso sections so you can get a feel for the plastic. I'd say knock out arms before legs though. And remember, measure everything a few times before cutting. Make sure it fits before you cut also! If you need room, you can always give more space but try to do so in the rear. If you have any questions, that's what we are here for. You can PM me as well if needed.
  5. True enough about Zap a gap. Only use it if you are 100% sure that you don't ever plan on making a change. Trooperbay makes it look ridiculously easy.
  6. I'm just busting your chops. It took me near a year so I know how it is.
  7. So what you're trying to say is you're taking your approval photos and submitting this weekend?
  8. This is an old thread but have you researched the kit? This kit is made for taller/bigger troopers. Not that it can't be trimmed accordingly. But put that into considerations. I have AM2.0 thighs and shins because I didn't want to have to make shims.
  9. Those look fine. You need the room to fit your gloved hands through. They will also connect to the bicep via elastic so they won't move at that fitment.
  10. Always nice to see a fellow MTK trooper. I remember opening my box and wondering how he fit everything in there.
  11. Check out the Getting Started section and look at the vendors. There are more options than Anovos.
  12. Maybe you can convince her to not paint an expensive and nice armor. Maybe pick up a used kit from your garrison and paint it. Worst case try to find pink plastidip that is removable.
  13. Interested in an XS for a 5'5" frame while he's at it
  14. Check out https://forum.specops501st.com/
  15. You can spare to drop those biceps still quite a bit. I know you have long arms but looking at that last picture alone. Your right bicep has more than an inch that can be lowered and still be covered by the shoulder bell. You want it a little above the bend in your arm. Then you can set the strapping from bicep to forearm.
  16. You might want to checkout the Spec Ops detachment to get all the details.
  17. ANH stunts are more common and offer the greatest amount of vendors that range in wait times and prices.
  18. Great tips. Looking forward to my first troop which is a huge event here in Albany this March.
  19. I want a quadcopter so bad!
  20. Wish I could have saved you from using CA glue. E6000 works really well gluing elastic in place. Holds really well but simple to remove. The elastic piece itself is ruined though. I had to make a few adjustments to cure armor bites.
  21. You might not have to drill new holes. Just rotate the cap down more. If there's too much of a gap between the inside of the face and cap then you will need to though.
  22. Stay away from this unless you're getting it for free or next to nothing.
