  1. Some careful tapering and well place foam and you'll be good to go!
  2. You will hear "say cheese" a lot and you will smile even though you have a bucket on and no one can see you.
  3. Duh on my part. I've even posted on it.
  4. He said the kits will come with a PDF of instructions. I had to re-solder my ukswrath SHA microphones and it wasn't bad at all. Was my first time doing it too.
  5. Have you received your armor yet?
  6. I don't think there's a determined spacing requirment, it's more so making it fit you properly then trimming what's not necessary. I've seen guys with long shoulder elastic and some with very small amount. Don't matter really as long as the chest and back are fitting properly and for TKs, the abs shoulder bridges cover them up all the way.
  7. I'm going to do like ukswrath did with his electronics so having this in kit form saves me quite a few steps. Now he just needs to have a few minutes so he can reply back to the onslaught of messages and PMs. I think he should team up with someone so he's not doing all the work alone.
  8. I've seen this a few times and figured you were going for that. Move along, move along.
  9. Unless you're doing one of those interlocking systems, Chris and Cristian are correct.
  10. What armorer did you order your TK from?
  11. Looking at the one photo, I would trim the bicep some too.
  12. I can afford it but I rather avoid the grief attached from Mrs. Airborne. If it has a lot more bells and whistles then it may be worth just buying the board. I do agree that the ICOMM takes a lot of bucket room, and before anyone comments, I want everything contained in the bucket, no cables other than a power cable after I convert to Tony's setup this Spring.
  13. I just avoid taptalk all together. On my mobile devices I use the Full Version view of the forum.
  14. Does the currency exchange rate and the wait time make it worth getting over the icomm? People loved my current setup I have from ukswrath and need a real reason to justify another $100+ purchase if it's really worth it.
  15. If you haven't already done so, get the back plate and the kidney strapped together. That way those pieces are fitting correctly so all you have to worry about is the correct way to get it to join the chest plate. You'll probably need to trim some of the shoulder from both parts if they are still touching. Good thing of having AM2.0 is they give you plenty of space so there's more cutting but less need to add plastic.
  16. I'm 5'5 as well. Takes some modification to get the armor to fit but everything is worth it!
  17. Sorry I must have missed some of your previous posts, those shoulder bells could use a lot more trimming. You're doing a great job and I apologize again for the lack of feedback you've been getting. One of the issues with your snaps is you're using the clamping tool. I could never get that dang thing to work and I ended up ordering a Tandy anvil setter. Basically its a tool you put in on the post and you set the back side on a round anvil. Hammer it in and you're good to go. You may have bought longer posts too. You can always trim them down with a dremel if you want. I never had the leaching issues with clamps. I have a mixture of red and orange. Red from wal-mart and orange from lowes or home depot. Some buffing and polishing should get that corrected. It looks like the majority of areas will be hidden by a cover strip anyways. Your belt looks the way it is suppose to. Since you used E6000, I would remove the cover strips, peel off all the dried glue and reapply them to get rid of those gaps. Get clamp the top and use painters tape to really force them down. Camp the bottom and put rare earth magnets along the strip on top of the painters tape. A little gap is ok but those ones are a little big. Some guys have gone as far as using caulking.
  18. That's a great idea! I'm too much of a sweaty trooper but still great for others.
  19. Make sure you sign up for Empire City Garrison's forum so you can get in contact with your GML.
  20. Looks good to me as long as they fit you. I have lots of gaps that cover strips hide so no problem there. As long as you use E6000, everything is re-doable.
  21. I work for NY state so there are a lot of "Emperors" and Sith walking around.
