  1. A guy I work with has never seen SW either. He's never seen LOTR or Harry Potter either. He likes looking at the photos of my sandie but says he has no interested in sci-fi/fantasy.
  2. Do you know anyone that paints houses? They might be able to get you more. I got a gallon for $13 and I've hardly used any and I've made a lot of ABS paste. Good luck either way man.
  3. It doesn't hurt to try some nylon webbing. That's what I use for my back to kidney
  4. Does the UK have anything equivalent to our Home Depot/Lowes? Maybe it'll be easier to get at one of those type of stores
  5. Get some sticky back industrial velcro. You'll need the hook portion on the bucket. The pads will stick them them by themselves, at least that's how we did them in the Army. I use to change out my ACH pads at least once a year cause they got so gross and worn out.
  6. If you're using Tapatalk or Safari on the iPad there's an issue. I just use Full Version mode of the site from Chrome on my iPhone
  7. Here's how I did mine. Snaps on the chest with elastic and then I CA glued a piece of industrial strength velcro on the bottom of the elastic. The ab plate I just stuck on the loop side of the velcro with it's provided sticky back. If I ever need to adjust it, it's easy to do so. It didn't move on me once during my troop last weekend.
  8. Watch this scene and you can see some troopers with the notch. Oh, and the trooper with the calf piece not even connected lol. Once you build armor you can point out all the imperfections in the movie that you otherwise would never have noticed. Now a days everything is looked at with a microscope so "mistakes" like these don't happen as often. I personally think it's another reason that makes Star Wars so great.
  9. Did you cut out a notch in the back of the thighs? I can't go up and down stairs without a little creativity even with my modifications. It's doable just not preferable in my situation.
  10. Doh! I didn't even notice the ab plate until Tony pointed it out. Definitely put some straps in if this is a constant issue.
  11. If I had six pack abs and was 6" taller I would have been done in half the time. Take your time and get it done right the first time. All the hard work will pay off!
  12. Hike them up as high as you can. I'm a 5' 5" trooper so I had to trim my tops.
  13. That guy must really like you! Now get to building trooper!
  14. Even with my 7 1/4 head I can fit in my MTK but I have to turn it sideways. I cut a little extra on the opening though.
  15. What I mean is you have a lot of return edge on the bottom on the wrist end.
  16. You can get the black chemical gloves at just about any hardware store and wal-mart. Joseph has filled Karin's shoes upon her retirement. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/35702-latex-hand-guards-for-centurion-level-anh/
  17. You're suppose to remove some in the notches on the wrist side. What you have there is still considered return edge.
  18. If you decide to do a Jawa or any cloth heavy based costumes, you're going to want to invest in a sewing machine.
  19. My garrison's event coordinator and Legion's podcast host has a fantastic Jawa costume. Here's the CRL and detachment info:http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:Jawa Ha! Sandies do it with style!
  20. Pro Tip: apply a bead of E6000 on the split rivets so they don't have a chance to get snagged on your under suit
  21. You are lucky! RS is a beautiful kit
  22. You're doing great! Don't you just love the smell of ABS in the evening?
