  1. Depends on how strict your GML is too. Basic entry for a sandy is fairly easy yet my GML wanted my pouches a certain configuration that I only did for my submission photos.
  2. I recommend that you do NOT trim the thigh heights. If you want to put the ANH notch on your left thigh you can do that but I wouldn't cut any to make it shorter.
  3. I use nylon webbing but you can use a plastic For Sale sign if you want too. Get the thicker one, not the paper thin one.
  4. Yeah, you might have to drive farther than the golf carts of Peachtree City can take you! Only place in Georgia where there are more golf carts than cars. Have a great Easter and good luck with the rest of your build!
  5. I have some of the newer Tandy labeled ones on my butt plate and the visible ab plate one. Should definitely get some non-labeled ones for those which I'll eventually have to swap out. Won't hinder approval but if you rather not make my mistake and go back later down the road, follow Kalani's advice!
  6. That's weird to have the covers molded into the belt. I wonder if Chicago screws would be better to use instead of snaps. It would definitely stay put much better to the belt itself. You will still use snaps to attach it to the the ab plate.
  7. Yeah you can heat bend the butt plate to bring it inwards some. You can trim some equally from the ab plate, you'll just have to re-make the return edges.
  8. You might have to drive north of Atlanta some or north east but there's a lot of troopers around you. Have you posted on your garrison's forums yet?
  9. I'll try again tomorrow. Not sure how long the firewall keeps addresses cached.
  10. Yep, used for cover strips, inner strips, shims if you need them. 10-12?! That's very generous!
  11. Have you seen the inside of a TIE before? Just like tankers IRL, us short people thrive in compact spaces!
  12. Yeah looks good.
  13. What's that white stuff on your car? It's officially Spring!
  14. You just need to finder the center and take off equal parts from both sides. Just make sure you size it with your boots on.
  15. Happy wife, happy life!
  16. The top picture is what you should shoot for. A little gap is fine but try to get it minimal. It looks weird but your back naturally contours like that. Put it on like that and then you can focus on getting the chest plate lined up and figuring out the elastic to connect the two.
  17. Your best reference is looking at all the newly updated AP kit builds. Unfortunately there is no one build fits all manual. Everyone's body size is different so you will have to make the adjustments that best suit you.
  18. Also, you will need to replace any stickers by old fashioned hand painting. You don't have to do this for basic 501st entry, but if you're shooting for the top you might as well do it now.
  19. Always nice to see another sandy, I post a lot on here as well as MEPD. If you're ultimate plan is to go SWAT, like every good sandy should strive to achieve, figure out which trooper you want to emulate. Study every small detail about that character, how the brow curves and rides high or low. Even gaps on the ears. I'm in the process of getting ready to apply for my PO status right now. If you build the rest of your armor to FISD Centurion standards but with the proper TD parts you won't have any issues. Best of luck in your build and if you need any help or have questions, that's what we are all here for!
  20. The knee ammo belt will get caught by your shin a lot at that height. Take another photo with them pulled up with your strapping system. Put on your knee ammo belt and see how it feels. If its catching a lot and can't be resolved by using foam on the front of the thigh to push it out more, you may want to consider trimming the top.
  21. Haven't seen anyone do a grid like that before as a guide to reshape, that's brilliant and will help a lot of troopers in the future. Great idea
  22. Need to see how it lines up with the ab plate to get a better idea how much overlap you have.
  23. That came out awesome! You're an ABS paste pro!
  24. We use zscaler, I have no control over those settings, that's End User Service's section. I can bypass it on my own machine because I'm an admin though. I even tried just kppix.com and it doesn't like it. Maybe if you create an index.html for your home page it will fix it.
  25. Professional grade build! Coming along nicely!
