  1. I watched it live last night... Russian download sites are amazing now-a-days!
  2. So here's a question about the strapping for the shoulders... Edited so that it's a link to the question post...
  3. Here are some pics from assembly... The male snap on the top right corner of the ab plate. Inside view of the male snap on the top right corner of the ab plate. The six "rivets" — which are actually brass brads for the sake of authenticity — on the left side of the ab plate and right side of the kidney plate. These will be painted white. Inside view of the three brass brads on the left side of the ab plate. The two male snaps on the bottom curve of the butt plate. Inside view of the two male snaps on the bottom curve of the butt plate. The snaps fastened inside the left side of the ab plate. Ribbed shoulder straps fastened onto the chest plate. The three ab plate brads (a.k.a. "rivets") now painted white.
  4. Here are some pics of my finished bucket. It was assembled by TM himself and the decals are from TK-4510. I could not be happier with this! I have the chin strap, but doubt I install it... and you'll also notice it has simply comfortable "I use it in all my buckets" foam, not the star shaped foam. This is meant to look great, not replicate. Function before form... or in this case before "foam."
  5. Do the 19 mm to cover it all. Or do 18 mm and leave just a bit. IMHO
  6. Much better pics... thanks for posting Mike! Plus, TE2 comes with---------
  7. Thanks guys! That's what I had in my mind, but I wanted to double check.
  8. How does the belt snap onto the ab plate? Where's a good reference shot? I pretty much know what the ab plate part looks like, but what about the snaps on the belt part? And what about attaching the canvas part to the belt part? (I've never done this correctly and want to this time.)
  9. It took over 2 months for me to get a helmet from Spain, and less than 1 week (5 days) to get my TM armour. So unless it's been 3 months, I wouldn't start worrying yet.
  10. Those pics show a very soft pull of a TE gen bucket... I'm thinking it's a 3rd generation. My TE2 is really sharp... or much sharper than that.
  11. Last I heard he's doing very well, working hard, spending time with family, and just enjoying all the good Lord has given him. But he is a busy man indeed!
  12. Hey guys... just doing my look for gloves and found -------------- Thoughts?
  13. Well, the helmets had a gap between the ears. Check out reference pictures on StarWarsHelmets.com — just be careful, the more you research and the more look the more you'll start daydreaming of upgrading the FX to a more accurate bucket! Then it's not long until the $$ — or the £ £ — will start flying out the door.
  14. Awesome job man, and beautiful suit!! Don't you love the colour of that white ABS?! So dead-on amazing!!
  15. Go to Staples, or some office supply place and look on the isle with staples and paperclips. They have boxes of them... all copper, all 3/8" heads, and different lengths.
  16. I guess I doubt they had "different suits for stunt men"... but I don't doubt they did different things when dressing the stunt man for a scene.
  17. Depends on if you're copying a specific helmet or not. For instance, my sandtrooper has black on the inside because it's copied from the "move along" trooper... the only sandtrooper with all black. There's one trooper in ANH who has one white and one black mic tip. And for my ESB bucket I'm leaving the insides white. So it's up to you... but if you're copying a movie or trooper so some research from the movies to see if they were painted or not! Measure twice, cut once, and ask 1,000 times!
  18. Hey... when did they ever miss when they were not COMMANDED to miss!
  19. If he was a (literal) "stunt" man then his strapping could've been completely different... especially if he was one who took a blaster hit. Look at this guy from ESB who's about to get blasted... he's obviously got on more than any sort of strapping system of any kind. I'm sure they would've done all sorts of things to rig them up for a squib to go off. Maybe someone else will actually know an answer... but that's my thought.
  20. Glad you got the help man! And never, ever worry about asking a lot of questions! Believe me, I've been doing this a while now and STILL have to clarify things 100 times before I get it right in my head!
  21. Message me what your MEPD login is (should be) and I'll see if I can figure it out. Don't need to send your password... I'll reset it if I have to and tell you... But the whole "cross login" rarely works (if that's all your trying). You should try — again, if you've not already done this — creating an account with your email and the login you want. Or message me, like I said, and I'll help out.
  22. I have a TE2, which I also love — makes amazing sandtrooper buckets I think!!! — but it is a bear to get off. Putting it on is fine, getting it off is easier without my nose or ears. Of course it has a very high brow, which makes the opening smaller. Okay, sorry to hi-jack... onto your EIB!
  23. Good luck man! I'm working on my ESB as we (well... as I) type. Isn't that TM helmet incredible?!
