  1. That was even screen-used!!!
  2. I totally agree that fan made/unlicensed helmets most of the time look better and are more accurate than idealized licensed ones. But that is because the unlicensed artists are putting a small part of their heart and soul in each prop/helmet they make and create. That is not always the case with the licensed stuff, where most of the cases, they are assembled and painted by underpaid, uninterested and unaware Chinese workers who, many times, don't even know what they are working on.
  3. For expensive items I would not recommend Gift option. You can always use Purchase goods option and pay the paypal fees yourself using one of the below Paypal fee calculators: http://www.gregledet.net/ppfcm.html http://paypalfeecalculator.paymentprocessing.cc/ http://thefeecalculator.com/ http://www.clothnappytree.com/ppcalculator/
  4. The eFX Legend Scout will be made of ABS and only the visor will be made in fiberglass, the Limited Scout wil lbe full fiberglass - this is what eFX told us for now. As for the Stormtrooper Legend helmet we still need to get reliable information from eFX: materials used, price, time of pre-order and delivery etc.
  5. eFX Collectibles aready released a Vader Legend and Limited helmet editions, Legend being very accurate, though there are discussions about that too, since it seems there is some cleanup, and Limited being a bit more idealized, but still from the same molds. They declared the next on the helmet list will be a Stormtrooper Hero, and a Scout Legend and Limited. Now for the Stormtrooper Hero we need to find out if they will keep them made by fiberglass as Bryan from eFX and Gino announced on Rebelscum some time ago, or make them of ABS. They could also make 2 variants like the proposed for the Scout: an ABS Legend version with small edition (most probably priced around $800 or maybe more) and a Limited fiberglass version ($500-600). There was a long discussion on Rebelscum regarding what Legend means in the end, with different materials than originals announcedand also with the cleanup. Since there was some confusion earlier in this thread, just to clarify, Master Replicas and later eFX Collectibles released 2 helmets already: Differences in Master Replicas/eFX Stormtrooper 1:1 helmet: Limited Edition (eFX is exactly like this one but just 500 made): Suggest Retail Price: $399 Version: "Hero" Edition Size: 2,500 (but only 1,048 made by MR, and 500 by eFX) Geometry: Asymmetrical (screen accurate) Lens: Bubble Lens (Green and Grey)* Material: Hand Laid Fiberglass Interior: Fully lined and padded Plaque: Yes Stand: Yes MR Collector's Edition Helmet or eFX Precision Cast: Suggested Retail Price: $119 (a bit more for the eFX PCR) Version: "Stunt" Edition Size: Open Edition Geometry: Symmetrical (idealized) Lends: Flat-Green Material: Injection molded ABS Interior: PU Foam Pad on Crown Plaque: No Stand: No
  6. The rail scope on my Sterling is attached the same way on the rear sight (thanks Rob) - didn't want to remove the sight because I would irreversibly damage a cool prop. But the Master Replicas E-11 blaster has the rear sight completely removed and it was made from a screen used Sterling too.
  7. If you make a straight rail then the bent blaster will show even more.
  8. Congrats on the new blaster, this will be the closest thing to a real screen used E-11 when finished. Since you are in US it seems you have a US demilled Sterling. In EU the functional parts, as the bolt and the barrel, are the important things, so they simply cut and weld the rest of the barrel making it unusable for firing (this doesn’t affect the exterior visible part of the rifle in any way, at least old spec deactivation), but US deactivation is different: in US (at least in some states) you can be prosecuted for only having a pre-drilled/machined tube matching a Sterling, thus it means some barrel and parts cutting up and dissassembling, sometimes not in the best way alas... The barrel might not be straight, but when you add the extra greebliles like scope rail (I kindly recommend in your case a bent scope rail ) the scope itself and Hengstler, that will be barely visible anymore. Paint apps on the screen used were all kinds, but if you can keep more of the original the better. For the bolt you could try getting a real bolt from online shops or make a replica from metal or resin. Personally i'd go with an original even if having to partially cut it to fit inside. Anyway congrats again on a great future E-11
  9. Very nice job on adding the extra part of the M38A2 scope. When painted it will look like the genuine one.
  10. I wouldn't speak in absolute terms regarding anything in life. MR doesn't have shiny paint. MR had access to original screen used props back in those days.
  11. I'm curious why Master Replicas used the flat type of paint on their E-11. If they had a screen used blaster with crinkle paint in hands, I'm sure they could have replicated that appearance, at least to some degree.
  12. Get one first
  13. Congrats! Now you need a Sterling!
  14. Very cool looking blaster! Congrats!!
  15. Congratulations!!!
  16. Rest in peace among the stars!
  17. Too rough and ugly. Better options out there: Doopy's, Hyperfirm etc. I also got the SDS blaster which is quite cool too.
  18. Are the Unique Canes blasters new specs: no real bolt, no spring and no cocking handle?
  19. I'm a prop collector and I am also a member on forums like Rebelscum, SSG, SSF, Sandtroopers or RPF for a very long time. My main words when collecting are: "respect for everyone". I encountered my fair share of scalpers/flippers, hoarders of information, and some people who didn't even bother replying to a PM if kindly asked for simple information. But on the other hand there were so many cool guys that were kind and helpful, that in the end the balance was on their side waaaay more than with the non-helpers.
  20. You should simply ask him for more pics, with higher quality and better light from more angles. We need to see the details. We already know the scope could be an M-38 A2 or so and the scope rail is wrong. We need to see the quality and accuracy of the greeblies: Hengstler, scope and even t-tracks. Then we need to see how well it is deactivated, does it have the spring and cocking handle and ejector (if they are movable at least partially) or just a lump of metal there. Was this a cut down and then assembled Sterling or not. And of course the quality of the paint apps: original, or repainted, and how well. All these things could give us a better idea of its value.
  21. It would be cool to see what type of t-tracks, Hengstler and scope does the blaster have. Indeed, you need to change the scope rail
  22. Not to worry Andy, I know how it is when real life kicks in
