Want to buy a replica Sterling L2A3?
jkno replied to Dday's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Was this one of theirs too? -
I will need to make a second scope rail for my Sterling, a wide version, but made of steel. I have an aluminum one but keeping that for my plastic blaster.

Contacting Doopy doos and blaster springs
jkno replied to Sharkdiver289's topic in General Weapons Discussion
You could get a real deactivated Sterling in UK and have the ultimate E-11 blaster, it is like handling the real screen used prop - I got my deact. uncut Sterling SMG from UK not long ago and not even the Master Replicas blaster come close to it (I have that too). -
New Mannequin - 1:1 (Life size) Action Figure
jkno replied to cinderellaboy's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
This flexible mannequin is really great with all its poseability. But the price for one is about £800 plus vat and postage, which is a lot IMO, no matter how cool it is. The UK mannequin I have is very solid with movable head and arms, and I got it when on sale so I could have bought more than 8 of them for the price of the flexi one. For a Darth Maul or a Spiderman 1:1 I would have thought of getting a more flexible version, but for a Stormtrooper the one I have is perfect. -

I like the way you added the numbers on the Hengstler, really cool! -

I got my tall plaque from Kevin aka Panther. I asked him to make a couple more plaques for me but he didn't answer, I know he had some family problems lately, his plaques are a bit more expensive than Pastor's, but excellent quality too. The other plaque came with my Sterling, it is like an old Icons plaque, it is bas-relief, very neat. -

Personally I like MR and Icons type plaques. My blaster comes with an Icons one that is on the base and another one a MR tall version that is on a stand. -

Very nice!! Gluing the Hengstler to the scope and gun would be very accurate but not worth damaging with glue the Hengstler, the scope and the Sterling. -

That is what I did to mine too when painted it weeks ago. I got a small piece of plastic and put it there to block the counter. I set my counter to 1138 -
I managed to unscrew those 2 screws. But nor oil, nor WD-40 penetrated the tight thread. So I used my Bosch drilling machine with a screwdriver connector and unscrewed them. No way these could have been unscrewed by bare hands and a screwdriver, unless Hercules or Superman were around No damage to the screws or anything else. ----------

Yours look very cool. There was a guy on RPF who offered interesting blaster scope reticules, but he went to the darkside and never delivered.

I just received my M-38. Those screws are VERY tight. No chance of unscrewing until the WD-40 does its job, hopefully it will...

Looking great Rob!! -
Thanks. You can see the pic on the left. That is the cylinders set with 3 holes where I added the 3 capacitors from Rob. I only used their own small wires to hold the capacitors to the cylinders - I cut a part of them and the remaining wires I put underneath.

The 2 cylinders sets I got from Joerg, the one with dual small capacitors (left) and the one with 3 holes (right). In the one with the 3 holes I added the capacitors I received from Rob after painting them, they are just attached with their wires and no glue or anything else, so if I want to reposition them or take them off, it can be done in 3 seconds. The entire ensemble is connected to the blaster with 2 flat and powerful rare earth magnets (glued to the cylinders and painted black), thus I can exchange between the two options and also change the position of the cylinders if want to: My converted Sterling, with Eagle Hengstler, M-40 scope (next week a M-38 arrives too), and the cylinders - the superb stand is made by Rob (thanks again buddy):

Thanks. I might have to do that with an upcoming M-38. Or maybe leave it as is for now.

Forgot to say mine arrived fine. I also got a set of cylinders with 3 holes, but the holes are a bit too small. Anyone tried to use these new cool capacitors from Rob for their cylinders?
