Hi! Here are some pics for your enjoyment. I'm starting my hubby's RT Mod (ANH) build thread. Got the Under suit and TK Boots on the same day before Thanksgiving. I'm forcing him to pose. From Canada to Virginia( I think ?) to Germany, back to Virginia, then to Indiana. I'm the proud builder of some well travelled RT Mod armor! This was DDAY's, but I have it for my hubby now. I'll try to do you proud, Derrek! Check out Derrek's most awesome HOLSTER there, too. THANKS!!! lots of wrapping! Just like Christmas for me. lots of bucket pics... Yah, I didn't wait on Greg to unwrap his present... muu waa haaa haaa... I made a mess. more angles on the laid out armor... I noticed a few differences between my AP and Greg's RT mod. The shoulder straps and knee ammo belt are already curved. Nice! RT Mod has the belly buttons already attached. Cool! My AP doesn't have the "thumb print" in the bicep. I'll be using the BUTT JOIN err cover strip joining method. I think these cuts/marks are important. I'll research more. My AP was overlapped, but i also added cover strips. Extreme closeup for no good reason... Just being silly. Getting some sun Comparing RT Mod and big boot to AP and boot. RT Mod is to your left / AP to your right. Besides the boots, there's not as big a difference as i was expecting in helmets. RT is left, AP is to your right. RT is left; AP is to your right: Greg's is black, mine is pink! Thanks for looking. I hope to have some progress this weekend after my future trooper gets home. I might start glueing the fronts of parts, but without him here to test fit, i can't go too far. He's going for EI, and maybe beyond.

My psychologist said I needed to be social .... like go to those Mary Kay and Tupperware parties. That is my definition of hell. So, I thought and thought... and came up with the 501st. It's one of the best decisions I've made. I'm still playing with plastic.. just not storing food in it. I guess my hubby and I don't treat it like I'm escaping.. more like I'll have something fun to talk about when I get home. BTW... my hubby's size 13 TK boots arrived today.. along with his black tights and shirt. YAY! I gotta start a build thread for him soon.

Ahh! I gotcha... Lord Vader! Yah, I really thought about getting hubby a Vader.. but I would be starting from scratch, and we already have 5(?) around and it's EXPENSIVE!!! Do you hear the tiny violin playing in the background? Maybe I can get the nerve and some $$$ saved up in 3 or 4 years for a Vader for him...

He's into the 1st 3 movies, so he knows more about Star Wars movie trivia than I do, but now I know more about stormtroopers than he does. I didn't really force him, but I like to think I always get my way. I keep telling him "It's for charity." We try to find stuff to do together, although I have lots more free time to go on troops than he (has) will have. Yep, if you have a spouse who supports your hobby, that's all that matters. Hitman - haa haaa.. I think I know what you are talking about.. inside garrison stuff. Oh, good luck this Saturday! I've got a washer n dryer arriving, so I'll miss out. I find that being married means I don't get my way all the time, but it's not important. He doesn't get his way either, but I think he's ok with that. The only 2 in my house getting their way all the time are the two cats. Spoiled little furry BRATS!

I say: YES. And I did. Any other TK's use the FORCE on their spouses?

I had to sand down the ends of my Thermal Det so that I could squeeze the end caps on. I didn't do a very good job, but the paint covers most of the scratches I made.

That happens alot... especially once you hit 40! I think I've forgotten more than I ever learned. Course, I'm not even certain of that???

We should plan an armor party where the fire team can bring all their different armor so we can compare what everybody has. I've got AP, Mark has ATA... Rick has RT-Mod, and there's other armor from 501st approved makers in our garrison, too I think! There's still some old FX floating around. Have you seen all the threads on recast armor? It can take up a whole day of reading. It can really fire people up, too!

I leave my keys and phone and lip gloss in my tub for troops, too. I really HATE not having my lip gloss, but I go without until we have a break. I've only been to one small convention, where I was not officially trooping, but I had my hubby carry the keys, phone and all important LIP GLOSS!
