omg, Rob.. you went there. HAAAAAAAA that made my day.

I thought one meaning was possibly "the process of reproducing." But, I'm not a skateboarder and have no idea myself.
-
My mind went somewhere else with your screen name....
-
LiW - I slap myself on a daily basis! I wanted a Muse, but just got a cross-eyed cat instead. Mark - I was thinking that 66 was from Order 66! yep... I'm one nosey stormtrooper!

This is cool... I'm learning alot about people! Now I feel like I went to plain on my screen name. I use to use snailtoes. I was sick of yahoo telling me a mail ID was taken, so I thought of something easy, that should not be put together.

My screen name is just the squished version of MY NAME. and my twin brother's 2 digit birth year. [i'm seven to eight years younger, all depending on who's asking my age.] JNNFR72

Very Awesome, Ingrid!!! You're gonna ROCK in this armor!
-
Fooey! That doesn't sound like much fun. Hope your power tools and stuff start behaving.

Another super job, Mark! You are one building machine. I don't know how you make it to all the troops AND get all your builds completed. You must have an evil twin somewhere helping you. I've got one, but he doesn't help too much. Thanks for helping everbody out all the time, and for putting up with people like me who love to ask a million questions. I know I get annoying, but hey - I take some awesome pictures!!! heee heeee heeeeee...

YAY! You can do it Jason!!! We're looking forward to you getting EIB and Centurion.

Hitman's ESB TK Build [*AM]
jnnfr72 replied to thechosenhitman's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Hey Matt! Looking good there, boss! I really like your blaster too ... cause it looks just like mine! We need to troop together so I can see it up close. Congrats on going for EIB - you're gonna be rocking! All I can see so far is that your left knee plate did what mine kept doing. I fixed mine by adding that air condintioner padding stuff to the inside. It helps to keep it from going underneath the left thigh. There's lots of ways of strapping - and I like the suspenders with industrial strength velcro sowed on - to keep up the thighs. Be careful with your snaps... i didn't test my snaps fitting together before glueing them. Some of my snaps got too warped and barely will hold together. I can't think of too much else right now, but you will find stuff as you go. You and Chris did an awesome job. Hope you are recovered from that marathon build!!!! ttyl! Jenny -

TK-6290 Requesting ANH Stunt EIB Status[225][AM]

Lookin' good there, OHIO! Once you get your T's crossed and I's dotted on all the forms, you'll be partying like a ROCK STAR! I'll keep watch on your boarders to the WEST, and you can keep out the Rebel Scum from the EAST! Keep up the good work, TROOPER! -

Looking good! I bet when you get the strap between the butt plate and cod attached, it should help the butt plate to hug more. Also, things will fit a bit differently when you have your belt on. My belt helps hold everything in place. You might need some kind of snap plate or industrial strength velcro to keep the chest piece down. It does look a bit long, but don't cut until you get some more opinions. Oh, and the shins fit a bit tighter with boots under them, and after you shove the gloves under the forearms, they get a little snugger. Your armor is looking really good. I bet it wouldn't be too much more work to go for your expert infantryman badge. YOU CAN DOOOO EHT!!!!! -
Although he's a lefty when he writes, he's not so much with other tasks. He said he'd most likely shift TO THE RIGHT. I know, TMI for sure. If anybody ever meets my hubby, I'm in SO much trouble! Yep. I went there. teeee heeeee heeeeee heeeeee...

My tiny TK build starts! =D [*ATA]
jnnfr72 replied to gattirenata's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Owwwie, Renata! You poor thing!!! I had my hubby help with my snaps, until I figured out that his snaps were wobbly and wouldn't work, too. Then I started doing the snaps with the hammer and tiny punch by myself, and they weren't very good, and I messed up almost 1/2 of the ones I did, too. I found out the hard way about checking to see if they worked before glueing them on. That stinks, doesn't it?!!!! I'm sending you good thoughts for your smashed up fingers to start healing asap!!! This can be a very frustrating build, but when you are FINALLY done, it makes it even sweeter. You will get through this, and you'll wear your armor with pride. Keep on going, you are so close! -
Andrea's Build Thread [*AM]

Nice pics Andrea! You are coming along very nicely. My 2 cents... I trimmed my knees TOO much, and they pinched the crap out of my knees - mostly inner, but also outer. After 1 painful and bruise inducing troop at a movie theater, I added the outdoor air conditioning sticky foam cushion all over the knees, and also trimmed A LOT around the knees until I was able to walk up and down stairs with no armor bites. I had to work about 10 different times on my strapping method for the thighs, and ended up with some lovely Wal Mart suspenders and industrial strength velcro. I don't know what the best method is for keeping thighs up for most troopers. I think it's trial and error... ? Just keep using E6000 so you can pull apart what you don't like. Buy lots and lots of the N rated magnets! -
I like the idea of extra hydrating the day before. I'll be asking my hubby why it's "shift to the left." What's wrong with the shift to the right? He's left handed, so maybe he's more shift to the right. We've been married 14 yrs, and that's something I don't know. Maybe some things are better kept secret? These are the things I ponder during a slow work day.

As Jar-Jar Binks once said, "How Rude!"

Everybody did an awesome job of working this out. I think the Canadian garrison is nicer than my garrison, now! They probably always were?!!! p.s. Keith, I still have an extra gun for you for GenCon. We're excited to meet you and your gang this summer. It's gonna be FUN! -
Whooo Hooo! 12 Million is awesome - er!!!

I'm getting some good tips on what to tell people. Thanks for the good advice and encouragement. Some people will want to think they are better than you no matter what you say, and that's sad for them. Don't let it change your opinion of yourself. You just have to be confident that you are doing charity work (and having fun), and not hurting anyone. It might get easier the more you practice thinking that in the end, it really doesn't matter what outsiders think of you. If you have family and friends that understand, you are blessed. But, if I'm put on the spot and can't find my ZEN STATE, I'll whip out some numbers on my interrogaters. I know the 501st has raised A LOT of money, but wasn't sure of the #, so I did a really quick search and found this. "Last year we raised $4.3 million for charities worldwide," Coppin said. http://www.coloradoconnection.com/news/story.aspx?id=684784
