  1. Hope the painting comes out better, Gep! Good call on the brushes and dust.
  2. Yay ANDREA!!! You're looking might fine there young Trooper! Very Awesome JOb!!!
  3. Yay Renata! You make an AWESOME tiny Trooper!! My belt battery packs do the same thing... dang hips! I'm thinking about adding some padding to my belt to try and fix that, but I don't seem to ever get around to it. Share your trooping adventures with us. You look marvelous! Hi James, I never used plastic weld, but I made abs paste. When it dried, it turned very shiny. I used E6000 on everything. Takes forever to dry, but I wanted to be able to pull apart everything in case I messed up. In fact, I pulled apart my 1st part - the forearm - like 10 times! good luck on your build. Jenny
  4. I still had to use foam padding on the inside of the forearms, because by the time i made them big enough for my hands to fit thru, they were so big that they kept falling down when I put them on. My air conditioner foam stuff has an adhesive on one side and is nice and squishy on the other side. It works great for padding, and it keeps my forearms in place. I messed up at first when I had on my gloves and tried to put the forarms on over them. The hand guards got messed up. Then, I read that you tuck the gloves into the forearms after you have the forearms on. Ooops, I'm rambling now!
  5. Jim, Listen to Brian. He is wise beyond his years. Lemme know of you need help with steps 4 and 5. I'm pretty awesome at those two. Have fun! Get gluing! Jenny
  6. Greetings Derrek! Glad you found your way over to the FISD. Sounds like you will make things work out. If you do sell that armor later on, you might want to warn the buyer about the recasting, and the negative views on that. Some people will not mind, especially if it's a really good price and they are not wanting into the 501st, but other people will stumble upon FISD, and say "Hey.... wait a minute..." Couse, it totally depends on the person, but now that you are enlightened, there's that responsiblity. Geez, I sound like I'm lecturing my 17 year old. Sorry for that.. he's in Basic training at Fort Jackson, and I kinda miss my lectures! I'm sure HE doesn't miss them. I'm not as bad as his drill sarg... surely?! Good luck with your armor, future TROOPER!!! Jenny
  7. YAY! Congrats!!! Have you been reading up on your style of armour and collecting all the other stuff you need? That might take your mind off the wait.

  15. Awesome and Awesome Have a good rest of the weekend.
  16. Hey T.J. Are you an officer? (I married an officer.. retired, now though.) I'm thinking you could probably make the ab plate and connector plate more flush, and I think the right calf - closing does need to get flip - flopped so that the outter shin plate closes over the inner shin plate. I had to go back and edit.. I saw the shoulder bells. (Man, I'm one picky woman!) This is from the CRL: [One on each shoulder. The shoulder bells are considered effectively symmetrical; they may be worn interchangeably on the left and right shoulders and should have a black elastic strap that wraps around the inside of the bicep.] Mostly, I'm super jealous that you look better in your armor than I look in mine! Keep up the good work, Trooper! Cheers! Jenny
