  1. Show us your clips Lady. -Eric
  2. Here's the link to Evilboy's clips: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/23603-fs-evilboys-screen-accurate-td-belt-clips/ -Eric
  3. FX helmets aren't the best looking buckets out there. They don't look at all like the ones you see on screen. If you're doing a death trooper or making a lamp it isn't a terrible deal for a helmet. There's a quiet movement afoot to make these helmets no longer approvable for the 501st. I can't predict if/when that will happen, but that should give you an idea of how many of us in the legion feel about FX helmets. You may be better off either a) purchasing a kit for not much more money or lurking around these forums and wait for an already built helmet to go on sale Good luck and let us know if you have any more questions. Aloha, -Eric
  4. Wowee. The wording in the CRL is quite awful. If you want... you shall? Terrible semantics! "If using the Hasbro E11 toy blaster and you cover all the rows of holes, the blaster will have 7 T-tracks total. But, if you want to have the correct number of T-tracks (6 total) with the lower row of open vent holes on the magazine housing side, then you shall cover the pre-existing rows of holes with T-tracks, and grind off the lower integrated T-track on the magazine housing side and drill a new row of holes in its place." As it stands now I don't think we can deny your EIB app if you don't grind off the lower integrated track on the clip side of the blaster, but I think you should. In the near future I will lobby the LMO team to edit the wording to be as intended. It should be required to drill holes in your hasbro on that side and only have 6 t-tracks. -Eric
  5. That little girl is the Pacific Outpost's biggest fan. She's forever hanging around our booth at the Honolulu cons. -----------
  6. I would agree with the suggestion. If your ab is properly connected to your chest.... and your back is strapped well to your kidney there shouldn't be a need for the strap between chest and back. However lots of troopers use it and it wouldn't stop anyone from getting their costume 501st approved. Overall a nice job on your armor Aloha, -Eric
  7. The Lady is correct. You can go Centurion with it split. My ab/cod is split and while it allows me to sit down, I wish it were one piece to have one less bit to deal with. -Eric Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Rasheed, I've been thinking a lot about this thread and elitism of late. You make a good point. If viewed from a noob my terse and sarcastic reply to Gaza's equally terse post does look totally dickish. If you don't know me or have read any of my previous posts you wouldn't know that 90% of what I post is dripping with sarcasm. I'm not exactly sure how our exchange could have been construed as elitist exactly. But you're right, we weren't helpful in this case. For that I apologize. I think maybe I assumed that my snipe at Steve wouldn't stop the hordes of other people who usually swoop in to help people like the OP. The funny thing is that Gaza is one of the most selfless TKs around helping countless people get their TK on. He was pivotal in helping the little girl who was bullied for liking Star Wars get into kid sized armor. And apropos of nothing, he also sports one of the most badass Dengars in the legion. And for my own horn tooting sake am about the least elitist guy around. Hell I was elected to run the joint and I don't even own Centurion grade armor, who am I to judge anyone else? I support people no matter what their costume choice is. I've even won trooper of the month twice for my service to FISD and upholding our unofficial motto "Troopers Helping Troopers." (watch out my head won't be able to fit in my helmet after I post this) The funny thing is that after he posted I immediately spent some time on Facebook answering questions Dom's questions. Yet.... alas... both Steve and I flushed all that white plastic lovingkindness down the crapper in a heartbeat with two tacky sarcastic posts. Ok. We are dicks. However I think though if you had posted a quick introduction thread you would have found a much different reception. If you look at the "introduce yourself" forum area you'll find that every single person who introduce themselves on FISD gets a warm welcome no matter what... and that there is no question that goes unanswered on FISD. So... again. I'm sorry for making an awful first impression. I promise that it isn't the norm around here. Aloha, -Eric (who would take me seriously anyways? I have flowers on my shorts) -----------
  9. I agree. We'd have no FISD if everyone bolted when they encountered someone who annoyed the crap out of them -Eric
  10. Awesomeness. Congrats trooper! Now start posting pics from all the Centurion style trooping you'll be doing -Eric
  11. I couldn't agree more. Please ensure there will be some proper photogs following you around everywhere you go. (Got that Mathias?) -Eric
  12. Yeah man. The same thing happens to me too... however bending over is not something you do all that often all kitted up. That's what handlers are for. The snap mostly comes apart when I sit down or if I'm prancing around like an idiot (which happens all too often). The split cod does allow you to pop a squat which is kinda nice.... as much as I want to connect my RT cod to the ab permanently. -Eric
  13. I've never seen a 3 piece NE helmet in person but I'm guessing that as long as the ears cover up the seam it'll look fine. -Eric
  14. Your restraint is legendary Gazman. -Eric
  15. Superb Rolf! -Eric
  16. Nice clean build. Should be an easy pass. Good luck trooper. -Eric
  17. Someday I'm going to lay in some fiberglass cloth or something and bond my ab to my cod (Oh my cod!) Until then... I can sit down. Nyah nyah. Nice progress. -Eric
  18. That RT vocoder is a real pain in the butt to paint. Not at all as defined and sharp as most helmets. You did a great job considering what you had to work with. I can't wait to see how your tube stripes come out! My RT shoulder bridges kept coming off no matter how much I roughed up the chest plate. There just isn't a lot of plastic of the shoulder bridge touching the chest plate to glue. If I was more patient I would have e-6000 some filler under the front part of the bridge to give more surface area to contact the chest plate. I was thinking some nylon webbing maybe. Instead I used CA glue and made a big mess of it if you look closely at my chest plate. -Eric
  19. Considering your EP!C mates... You're going to need to be more specific. -Eric Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. If you used actual hot glue from a hot glue gun a hair dryer or heat gun should melt the glue quickly -Eric
  21. Oh look... LadyInWhite's 15 seconds of lefty media fame.
  22. Don't lie. You're not kidding about life priorities. Unless of course they're putting in "star wars: a new hope" -Eric Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I just registered a new user just now. The challenge question works. I also get emails every time someone new registers and there have been at least 8 in the last 24 hours. You can also click on "new content" and choose "members" from the menu on the left to see how many new users we have. If you're in contact with this user please pass along my email address if he still needs help. -Eric
