  1. On the bottom left of the page there lies a "Mark Community Read" link. Lemme know if that works for you. I tend to use the "new since last visit" option in when I click for new content rather than unread. Aloha, -Eric
  2. Yes... Um... Do you have a moment? The staff has been meaning to have a word... Actually two words with you....
  3. Did anyone else read the title as "calves turning me on"? No? No one? Crap.. I need help
  4. Wacky. I found it by searching using one of the following: stormtrooper, FISD, imperial. What are you searching on? I can add it to the description so people can find it more easily. Aloha, -Eric
  5. Tapatalk is now enabled for the FISD forums. Let me know in this thread if you experience problems with it. Aloha, -Eric
  6. Vern... How long be your AP belt? -Eric
  7. I am thinking of replacing my RT belt with an ATA... Seems like the most readily available of all. How long is your ATA belt? I would like to measure where it will sit on my oversized RT frame. Aloha and thanks, -Eric
  8. The rubber gloves aren't fun on a hot day either
  9. Karin... is it possible that you set the zoom www.whitearmor.net once by accident and didn't know it? Now that the URL has changed from forum.whitearmor.net to www.whitearmor.net chrome may remember the zoom setting. Check out this page that talks about zoom settings for a particular site... or try control-plus and control-minus right now Aloha, -Eric
  10. Fascinating Mathias. I don't know why it never dawned on me to use Terry's pop rivet snap dealio on my belt. Thanks... I have an imminent holster replacement and this is relief Do you have any problems with your holster falling off when you do the re-holster wiggle cha-cha twist? (all the rage with the kids these days) How did you get a snap onto the thick leather of the holster straps? Aloha, -Eric
  11. I left mine on another island recently. Maybe yours was there too. Have you checked in around Waikiki?
  12. For removable kine holster? Chicago screws. Otherwise pop rivets. Or you could put a fake rivet in and then use snaps in the back where it can't be seen Aloha, -Eric
  13. One AA battery holds 1.5 volts. One 9v battery holds 9 volts. The difference between 6 AA's = 9 volts and 1 9v battery is how long it takes for the battery to drain. I won't bore you with a discussion of milliamp hours... but 1 9v won't last as long as 6 AA's... but it sure fits better in your helmet I also won't go into the fact that most of those squirrel blower (settle down) fans are actually 12v devices... but that's a topic for another discussion. Aloha, -Eric
  14. The web server migration is complete. Let us know in this thread if you are experiencing anything newly weird, odd, AFU, anomalous, wacky, spooky, freaky, jacked up, or annoying. Any other experiences you can keep to yourself. Aloha, -Eric
  15. Rich: To me the ESB troopers' chests always look higher up than the ANH stunts. Way less space between the bottom of the chest and the ab plate buttons. The massive space also may be the same effect I have in my RT-MOD... I've got a really long torso with totally different proportions than the little english dudes at Elstree. -Eric
  16. Oh yeah. ESB. Good point Rich. I have such an ANH stunt frame of mind. Actually... lower your biceps too LOL
  17. Troopers, The FISD forums will be shutting down starting at 0700 HST for 12 hours (hopefully less) on Thursday 4/19/12 while the website is moved to a new server. Here is what 0700 to 1900 HST means for a few select time zones: GMT: 4/19/12 1700 to 4/20/12 0500 BST (London): 4/19/12 1800 to 4/20/12 0600 EDT (New York): 4/19/12 1300 to 4/20/12 0100 PDT (Palo Alto): 4/19/12 1000 to 4/19/12 2200 CEST (Stockholm): 4/19/12 1900 to 4/20/12 0700 EST (Sydney): 4/20/12 0300 to 4/20/12 1500 WST (Perth): 4/20/12 0100 to 4/20/12 1300 If you experience issues with the site one it is back up and you cannot log in please email me: [email protected] I apologize for the short notice and thank you for your patience, Aloha nui, -Eric
  18. Dude... if I had to nitpick... and I can't stop myself... you have two of the same problems I do/did. Your chest should come down some. Do you have any elastic going from chest to ab? If so tighten it up lots and lengthen your should elastic. I actually redid my shoulder bridges too but I don't think you'll need to. Bringing the chest down can also help bring the entire back of your torso up a little if it feels like your butt is sagging but still lined up well. And maybe use some shorter elastic between back and kidney to make that line up better... something I struggle with. Or maybe It looks like you have a ton of room your thighs. After you troop for a while and get used to the kit maybe think about trimming them a bit... unless you find you dig them that way then don't listen to me. Drop box placement with the long RT belt is tough but I think you did a better job than I did. Nicely done brotherman. I can't wait to see the (I think) first RT-MOD ESB EIB... ASAP PDQ LOL. Aloha, -Eric
  19. Ralf... I removed the EIB number from the topic title. Mathias will add that once he approves you. Good luck brother. Aloha, -Eric (PS: Look'n good!)
  20. While I think having a phone in your helmet is totally ridiculous... The motorcycle folks have already figured this out. There are a few boxes that will switch between a frs radio and your cell phone. Some have integrated intercom radios but others just switch between audio sources. Rather than use an external frs maybe you could use an aker? Motorcom, chatterbox, sena, Mix-it, and the j&m integrator are some things to google. But again.... There are way too many other fun things to do while dressed as a stormtrooper other than talk on the phone. Aloha and good luck, -Eric
  21. And... now here's where I decide if I want to nit pick all over my CO's TK... I probably will... So thanks FiSD for making me a jerk in this situation LOL If only there was only a genuine source for troopers in HI to acquire screen accurate armor Aloha, -Eric
  22. Your RT kit will come with backs to the drop boxes Aloha, -Eric
  23. It's a sign from the maker... Please report to http://forum.mepd.net for your ration of tan colored earth to smear all over your armor I have a few of those... I'll let you know how novus #1 goes. Aloha, -Eric
