  1. I've got my calipers out and while they don't quite go deep enough I think the inner droopy barrel thing is about 7/8" or about 22mm. Lots of people use a coat hanger wrapped around a broom handle or something properly sized. Example #1 Example #2 Example #3 For mine I went to my local ace hardware store and bought a crapton of springs. I wish I had remembered which size it was but I found one that was just a little too big and stretched it out to fit the diameter of the tube. Seems to work pretty well. Here's a photo of an actual spring: ---------- Here are three real or replica sterlings to compare to: Matt Black Locitus R2Dan Vern I would suggest googling around for more images of real springs. Aloha and good luck, -Eric
  2. Yo Juan, I reset her password for her and emailed her but I think she went to bed before trying. I think Karin was having issues because the divorce from the imperial hub was finalized Aloha, -Eric
  3. What's the error you are seeing? Just bad password? If so I'll reset it for you. -Eric
  4. Looks good to me... ANH stunt reference photos below from the FISD wiki.
  5. In spirit yes I am meant to have a centurion badge... and I could easily add one for myself as a rampant abuse of admin powers... but I wouldn't have earned it. I still have some work to do on my kit (thigh pack) and a blaster to build. -Eric
  6. For those of you pondering RT-MOD armor... check out the new sniper knee photo from Rob that is much easier to attach (see somewhere in this thread how difficult it was for me to glue straight.) He also says that its resized a bit to be more accurate. Also this list was from March but here are a few things Rob's done to RT-MOD to make prospective EIBers happy: Standardize green lenses ( found a great material, not too thin/thick, nice shade of green) Green ANH Hero bubble lenses – specifically for my slightly larger bucket. Interior mod kit as per my earlier posting. Just finalizing the set-up. Helmet options for ANH: Stunt/Hero, ESB, ROTJ (paint and decals) Canvas, leather(real) belt option. Option for EIB ready out of the box. Return edges on armor components where required or requested. Also... he's got a sandtrooper RT version ready... which I plan to purchase this winter (Vader will have to wait another year or so). Aloha, -Eric
  7. What he said. Plus it's just more junk under your armor that gets in the way. -Eric
  8. Ha. I'm pretty sure it happened when we were both awake AND chatting on Skype. It's not only funny that you're the DO but you're centurion número uno. But no... No shame at all.
  9. Actually... I love irony... Mathias' centurion setting in his profile was blank. Ha. I'm sure I did it yesterday while he and I were messing with the database. Oops. Sorry buddy but as DO please try to keep user profiles up to date.... Sheesh
  10. Well... From what I see it seems to be just forum admins not staff. Can other folks see staff's centurion badges? (btw Mathias is the only forum admin with centurion) -E
  11. Non rivet on the sniper knee... but cap or split rivet for the knee ammo pack Anything but pop rivets for either. Check out the knee pack placement reference gallery. If I ever get to it I have sniper knee reference imagery to upload too. Aloha, -Eric
  12. The Hawaiian word for Gremlin is Menehune (manAY-hoo-nay) and at 6'5" I must be Polynesia's largest one. I'm nuts deep in the FISD member database right now... but I'll take a look at the staff centurion badges as soon as I can. Kinda fun to take the Deployment Officer's centurion badge away no? Ok maybe not. Aloha, -Eric
  13. By "some people" Locitus means me! The RT thigh pack s a real pain the an impolite person to get right but not impossible. Don't forget that RT-MOD is a fan sculpt and doesn't go together like something derived from a screen used suit. That means sometimes parts don't quite bend or fit the way you would expect them to. Rob's sniper knee is the same way but it takes force, many clamps, and a crap ton of glue. The knee pack on RT-MOD is a real minor thing. I wouldn't sweat it... but don't do what I did and put it on wrong or you'll be filling holes in your thighs someday. Aloha, -Eric
  14. No worries... after all (as much as I wanted to blame Mathias) I caused it
  15. Agreed. Op ivy was the theme music to my life for 20 odd years, and still is. -E
  16. Heh I made them disappear it just took two cups of coffee to remember what I did. Oops. Sorry folks!
  17. Awwww seriously? Crap!
  18. Are the centurion badges back? If so I totally did it. Whoops! -Eric
  19. I can't quite figure it out either. I wonder what we did to break it. Hmmmm.
  20. Ok Mathias... you fix it... I'm going to bed LOL
  21. Welcome to the clean shiny side of the dark side..... I've been watching your build over on MEPD and that is one badass sandy you got there. I'm a little disappointed you didn't post the photo of all the hipster fuel (PBR and the champagne of beers): Congrats! Now what? Aloha, -Eric
  22. Color matching abs sounds tough even for such a small area. I hope someone has an idea for you that doesn't involve painting the whole thigh. I'm watching this thread intently. Who knows of a good armor white out? When I get to this I may try some silicone caulk first before I go the abs paste route. Aloha, -Eric
