Sorry to derail...my own thread () but I just want to say something. I love how well you speak English, and other members from non-English backgrounds. It amazes me that you actually speak and write better English than a lot of people I know that live and have been rasied in and English speaking country. You guys are awesome. Back on topic: I totally agree with the non-aggressive approach, people can make their own minds up in the end.

I have rebuilt my thermal detonator so that the end caps are held on via an elastic strap inside the canister. That way (if I feel so inclined) I can pop my phone at least into it. Usually we request a secure storage area at our troops, so normally I would leave them both in a lockbox in my armour bag.

Knee plate not positioned right?
Spectre replied to Spectre's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
But it doesn't line up on the other side? It looks more lkike the butt plate is being pulled towards the other side. So in my case the best bet is to cut the butt plate vertically like this? -
Knee plate not positioned right?
Spectre replied to Spectre's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
I think I made it look a little better. While you're here Locitus I have a few other questions. Is that seam small enough? Also I trimmed the sides of my kidney plate to make it smaller, as the waist section was just way too big but I never bothered changing it. Now it fits a lot better (I could lose a bit more plastic but that might be too much) but the top of the butt plate overlaps the ab plate. Should I cut the butt to be in line with the kidney plate or what? If I cut the ab: If I cut the butt: -

Knee plate not positioned right?

Have I just positioned it too low? It sorta looks like it.. -
So based on advice from my EIB application I took off, trimmed down, and re-attached my sniper plate. Now it looks like this: It isn't meant to look like that right? The shin isn't meant to show under the sniper plate? So what can I do? I don't know if it can go any higher or if that would even fix the problem.

STORMTROOPER BOOTS
Spectre replied to RogueTrooper's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
In 2 years that might have changed Jesse. -
I've seen it before (can't remember what it is called unfortunately) and it was a good read. Real nice comparisons.

The title basically says it all. When I was assembling my belt I stupidly marked the lines where the holster straps would be on the outside of the canvas (don't ask why...cos I don't really know). I have tried to remove the lines with an eraser but that just smudged them. I tried methylated spiritis but it didn't seem to do much. I tried white spirits which just smudged it. What can I do to remove it and make my belt nice and white again? Thanks in advance (hopefully ) Pic related. ---------

The AM helmet has the same really inaccurtate face, it's just the dome is rounded and the FX dome is flat. Avoid both, there are a lot of way more accurate ones available.

I can almost completely dress myself besides the belt and O2 can. The belt I cannot tighten enough and the O2 can I can't shove on properly.

More to the point, chicks can't tell you're checking them out from behind your lenses.

Hahaha at least we ended up getting it together.

Wicked. I forgot to check it so that solves that for me It'd be a clear gloss overcoat if I were to redo it. Easy application.

I just sprayed my chest piece and it looks better in flat white I reckon... Not that I don't love my shiny armour but it looks less like plastic and more like armour you know?

Hey guys, I have had to do some minor filling on my return edge on my chest plate. All I had as a filler was this green putty stuff, and obviously the armour isn't green. I have a can of white spray paint that colour matches incredibly well with my armour but it is flat white, not gloss. On my test piece the difference is barely noticeable. So should it be fine to have a few small patches of matte white? I use white T-cut to polish my armour every now and again and that seems to dull the gloss a bit so it might end up blending nicely anyway. What do you think?
