  1. I agree Joseph, everyone take out there notebooks and prepare for a lesson.
  2. Yikes! That is a nightmare. I wish I could say that never happens, but it does. I told myself that I would do a TK and be fine, but I found reasons why I "should" do more. I now have three costumes and am currently working on TIE pilot armor. I thought I was past blue tape and clamps, but they are currently all over my work space.
  3. You're doing a fantastic job Nicole. You will keep thinking that one day you will not be surrounded by clamps and painters tape, but then you start your next costume... Keep up the good work trooper!
  4. IF, and that is a big "if", you found an armor kit for $400, you'd still need a lot that is not generally included in an armor kit. Boots, under clothing, blaster and/or associated props, building materials (glues, paints, clamps, etc.). To build a good set of durable armor with necessities, you should plan for around $1000USD. That is my 2 cents.
  5. Congrats trooper. I did the same as you. I took my time and made changes along the way. In fact, I still rework strapping and such, to this day. Welcome aboard!
  6. Looking good trooper! Dropping that forearm armor will probably be more comfortable on your arms and save you from pinching. Good luck on the approvals!
  7. You got this kit DIRECT from Anovos? I have built a few Anovos kits and this does not resemble their pulls or molds. Regardless, We can try to get you up to code for basic, at least. I think you have your left bicep armor on upside down in the photos.
