  1. I used scraps to create strips for the inside, as well. Added strength.
  2. Look at post #2 of this thread. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/16417-butt-joining-am-armor/
  3. Smart thinking. I will try this on my upcoming project.
  4. I think you'll get several different kinds of answers to this, but here is my take. I bought the Anovos kit right at the first offering. I have never built a TK or any kind of related armor/costume. A newbie for sure. Although I read the Anovos instructions and kept them in mind, I did not do my built based on them. I used Ukswrath's built pretty exclusively, but I also asked a lot of questions along the way. The build was not super difficult, but I did away with a lot of the strapping and snaps that were included. Cheap stuff that I replaced with better quality and some customizations. The undersuit is still in the original bag. Once I heard stories of it staining armor, I bought Under Armor under clothes. There is plenty of scrap ABS for making internal support strips if need be. A few changes to the helmet are necessary for Centurion level approvals. The canvas belt that comes with the kit is not good. I suggest replacing it also. I hope this helps. I really like my Anovos kit and am quite proud of it.
  5. Looking great! Congrats!
  6. Welcome and good luck on the build!
  7. Nice work trooper! Good luck!
  8. Great looking armor trooper. Good luck to you!
  9. Listen, I am not independently wealthy, I have three kids, mortgage, all that, so I know its not easy to justify the expense of "hobby armor" if you will. That said, you will be way better off in the long run saving up and investing in a recommended kit. Cut costs by building it yourself using this place or a local Garrison for guidance. It will save you frustration & disappointment, in the long run.
  10. Very nice build. I especially like the shim/guide you added to your waist armor. Good luck!
  11. Good looking armor all around. Thighs look a tad low, but that is a nice build. Good luck!
  12. That armor is fantastic. Incredible work!
  13. Looks good to me. This is where a lot of belts sit on the builds I have seen.
  14. Damn, that is great! I love POTA and it was just as big for me as a kid, as Star Wars was. Awesome outfit and the Ape-trooper is great! Thanks for sharing.
  15. Great looking armor. Congrats!
