  3. I got a damaged part. CS gave me a little run around, but ended up resolved. Just took some nagging. Personally, I am starting to see that my armor is not going to last a real long time with constant troop use, but if they can make parts readily available, it could work out.
  4. Congrats on finally getting your gear. You are in good company for advice on building armor. You might also start by tracking down accessories you plan to implement such as boots, helmet electronics, etc. Also, if you haven't already, reach out to your local Garrison or Squad. Good luck!
  5. Good luck everyone! I wish I could participate, but I'll just buy my hearing assist from you Ukswrath. Nice of you to do this.
  6. Good luck with your build. This place is a fantastic source for help along the way.
  7. Have fun everyone going to Orlando. Congrats to my EIB brothers and sisters and to the Centurions. I will join you soon, I hope.
  8. I have little to no experience with proper electronics and wiring, but I have been able to put fans in my helmet rather easily. Good luck!
  9. I have both on my TK. The snaps hold but have come unsnapped once or twice, so I added velcro and it stopped happening and is more secure.
  10. Good luck with your Centurion application. Nice armor! I don't think you are allowed to have return edge on your forearms with Centurion level.
  11. I used scraps to create strips for the inside, as well. Added strength.
  12. Look at post #2 of this thread. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/16417-butt-joining-am-armor/
  13. Smart thinking. I will try this on my upcoming project.
  14. Looking great troopers! Nice work!
  15. I think you'll get several different kinds of answers to this, but here is my take. I bought the Anovos kit right at the first offering. I have never built a TK or any kind of related armor/costume. A newbie for sure. Although I read the Anovos instructions and kept them in mind, I did not do my built based on them. I used Ukswrath's built pretty exclusively, but I also asked a lot of questions along the way. The build was not super difficult, but I did away with a lot of the strapping and snaps that were included. Cheap stuff that I replaced with better quality and some customizations. The undersuit is still in the original bag. Once I heard stories of it staining armor, I bought Under Armor under clothes. There is plenty of scrap ABS for making internal support strips if need be. A few changes to the helmet are necessary for Centurion level approvals. The canvas belt that comes with the kit is not good. I suggest replacing it also. I hope this helps. I really like my Anovos kit and am quite proud of it.
